  • I really loved this! And after seeing it made me change my mind about selling my pan. I started playing when I was 10 then I stopped when I was 13. Because of this I'm dusting my pan off and starting again! Keep doing what you do best! And the next time you're in the DC area playing drop me a line I'll come by. Thanks

  • @eebooking Keep doing your thing man! don't let a guy that uses crappy electronic tracks criticize ya

  • @eebooking I think You need to be a little more humble and take in the criticism that the people are posting. I think there's is a difference between playing strong and beating the pan. there is never an excuse to beat the pan and i think your beating. and all that stuff about playing mozart and handel none of that dont mean anything if you cant play it good so practice a lil more and stop acting like a star to these people who are commenting and check and see how to play

  • Try playing some liam teague stuff.. played with liam at CT Chapter Day 08 and he was crazyyy... also saw him at Pasic 07

  • Wow, you're really good. ^-^

I've only been playing steel drums for about 2 years... so I guess you can call me a noob.. but I still find it fun and entertaining. ^^

I remembered when I played Under The Sea in my first year of steel drums.. it was fun, but seeing you play with your both hands at the same time really shocked me! Great talent. ^-^

  • and when you fools start soloing Mozart and Handel and Bellini and BIzet on your pans, send me the video and let me judge!

  • HAHAHAHA

i am a snob when it comes to pan..call me a "pan snob" but hey, i do this for a living and i do it SOLO, with no cheap karaoke background music, no supporting casts, no gimmicks, just a pan a two sticks..

and i do this 7 days a week so i can be like that if i want...

    sue me!

  • and for all of you would be pannists out there, YOU CAN BEAT PAN AS LOUD AS YOU WANT as long as you DON'T CUT OFF YOUR OWN SOUND...

and i fail to see where my sound is cut off in this video...if fact, it CARRIES for blocks..

i know because people tell me all the time...

  • jason, if that is you playing in your profile, i have to say as someone who has been BEATING pan for over 17 years that you remind me of me in my first year of playing!

you are an amateur in this steel pan thing...

    and p.s.

i dont need a karaoke machine in order to do my thing...

and cellopanman, i get my pan tuned every 3 months and I play in the streets...how i choose to BEAT my instrument is my artistic preference and it helps to play loud when you are playing in busy downtown DC...

  • DON'T BEAT 'EM SO HARD! Maybe it's just the recording, but this guy has no respect for his instrument.

  • i can agree more. he is hitting on them hard
