The soviets were caught red-handed several times for building concentration camps and saying it was the Nazis. Propaganda all around, it's how politics works. The allies in WW2 did the same.

What I'm saying is that everyone committed atrocities in the war, and to claim that one side is super evil and the other are angels is amazingly naive. Just because soviet war crimes aren't heard or spoken of much(because they won), doesn't mean they don't exist. In war, each side uses propaganda to make themselves seem as the only right one. The loser will always go down in history as the evil one, while the winners become saints.

Many of those people are still alive today and they can tell you about the death camps. No other army committed mass genocide.
