Ignoring one of the previous comments, this song is from the musical Tell Me On a Sunday and it is also entitled the same. It's a musical about a girl who travels from Britain to the U.S. in search of love - she starts out in New York, journeys to Hollywood, and then returns to Manhattan.
Apart from that, wonderful voice and I really love this song. Keep up the great works.
@GlompErik - Marti Webb sang the song first, I believe, possibly followed by several others before Sarah Brightman. It was first performed in '79, and from what I can tell, Brightman didn't perform it until '84.
