I've got to say, I've been listening to Megadeth since the mid 80's and have been a very enthusiastic fan spanning multiple decades now. During that time, my musical tastes have evolved. I think this song is exactly what it's supposed to be...just a really cool new spin on an already great song. It's not supposed to be a replacement for the original, rather a new variation. I love it. I appreciate it for what it is. Scabbia adds a cool touch to it that I really dig.

I can't say that this is the original, but with Scabbia co-singing - it's a much faster, and much more energised. While I do love this rendition, Mustain is now a weaker singer, the guiter solos sound... tinny, and it doesn't capture the solemnety of the original, which reflected the character's feelings of death. It's a great version, but it's just not what the song should be.

@yanivp1 I love this version's energy. I think that this version captures more of the real emotion that the song was written to convey - the original now seems too somber in a way. It's about giving a final message to your friends & loved ones after you've died (if you could) and all that's left to say is that you loved them all (je vous aime). There's no sadness to you, you're moving on - makes sense.

For me, Dave's singing is still great and harmonizes with Cristina's very well.

FTR I think this version is a great improvement anyway, and that's hard to do as the original was already good. Now this song is epic - was one of the reasons I bought United Abominations and got back into Megadeth (was longtime fan throughout the 90s but drifted away).

Chris Broderick is another reason I'm loving them again.
