  • awesome job, flying in tomorrow from PA in a Skyhawk, look forward to seeing where it all began!

  • I passed my private checkride in kitty hawk on the same day the wright brothers first flew, only 98 years later.

  • According to 14 CFR 61.31 (e) (1), a complex airplane is defined as "an airplane that has a retractable landing gear, flaps, and a controllable pitch propeller; or, in the case of a seaplane, flaps, and a controllable pitch propeller."

  • SWEET FLAP CONTROL!

  • according to jar-fcl complex a/c is:

    a, constant speed prop.

    b, retractable landing-gear

    c, at least four seats

you will find wing flaps on every training a/c except aerobatic a/c and some other types.

    happy landing! :)

  • Comlex aircraft is defined by three thing:

    a.) Constant speed prop

    b.) Rectractable landing gear

    c.) Wing flaps

If it does not have all three then it is not a "complex" aircraft

  • piper engineers: "let's put the trim tab in the dumbest possible place"

  • AHHAAH agreed!!

  • a complex aircraft has retractable landing gear, flaps, and a constant speed prop..FAR61.31 part subpart e number 1.

  • Right, "complex" means constant-speed prop AND/OR recractable gear.

  • "complex" means it has flaps

  • Complex means that it has a variable pitch prop and retractable undercarriage.

  • all planes have flaps dude

  • In response to "drummer987": Not true, many Piper Cubs, the Aviat Pup, Ercoupes, Aeronca Champs, the Concorde, the Rans S-9, many other light aircraft, and many canard configured aircraft lack flaps.

  • @drummer987 not necessarily

  • Sweet man. I am halfway through my complex endorsement for an arrow. I love the plane. Has a garmin 430 which is awsome. Have fun and be safe.

  • I really dont think thats much of a complex airplane..complex would be a piper cheyenne 400

  • "Complex" just means retractable gear.

  • @androidfarmer And "constant speed prop"

  • @androidfarmer , actually, complex means: retractable gear, variable pitch prop, and flaps. A plane can have 2 of the 3 and not be complex.

  • @lycoming0320 also floats can take the place of retracts and still be complex.

  • @lycoming0320 also floats can take the place of retracts and still be complex. FAA Order 8710.3E

  • my dads flys a piper arrow vi how long have u been flying?

  • must of been a nice crosswind that was way left of the centerline. heh heh, had plenty of those!!!

  • how do u like your 296?

  • Pretty well, though I checked out a 396 this weekend and the XM weather was pretty impressive.

  • kool. the XM weather isnt fully available up in canada yet.

  • Was that a crosswind landing?

  • Yeah, there was a bit of wind from the right

  • Good idea, thanks!

  • Just a thought...you should add more tags so others can find your videos easier. Definately add "outter banks" to this one and it will show up on alot more searches.

  • I Flew into FFA with a DA20-100 from CPK. I wish I could afford to fly more! I wish I could afford a checkout in a Arrow!

  • Kitty Hawk's on the coast of NC - a nice place to visit for sure!

  • Beautiful city, which state is it?

  • Lovin all your vids, man!

  • Nice

  • Thanks! The plane is a Piper Cherokee Arrow - PA-28R-200.

  • that was an awesome video! what kind of plane is that? it looks like a dakota but a dakota dont have RG
