I'm a nub, can someone tell me what the bars on bass mean? I never play bass, just expert guitar and drums.

@DarkMatter43 It's an open strum. You strum without holding and frets. It's common on the bass and makes the gameplay slightly more diverse.

Being a "real guitarist" has nothing to do with enjoying a video game. Besides, more people are taking interest in learning to play real instruments because of this game, and as a musician you should be happy that more people are taking interest in music.

I am a musician, but I can enjoy the game as well. In fact there are tons of musicians that enjoy these games.

Why be Embarrassed? Why? It's just a game. So what if it can't teach people to play music? Playing Sonic can't make you run faster, but I'm sure a professional runner could enjoy playing it.

@mortisnoctu Actually, they did. And there are plenty of people who play both real guitar and guitar hero. Playing guitar hero isn't going to make you into a master of real guitar, but it can help you establish your rhythm. And on a side note, playing rock band drums can actually help people learn real drums. Why not just play real drums, you may ask? Because, sometimes it's simply more fun to play a game. Easy as that.

They're called headphones. Plug them into your amp and you are good to go any place, any time, and tone you want.

People can play guitar hero, I don't care. They just need to acknowledge that it's just a game and that they're not actually developing any actual musical skills.

This is made for the 360. It seems you can only download songs that were made on your own system. So PS3 created tracks can only be downloaded onto the PS3 and not 360 and vice versa. Someone else may have created it though for the PS3 already.

Erm, I wouldn't really class it as rock. I don't go for a particular style. I just choose instruments that sound as close to the original as possible, or failing that, make every note sound clear. As the old consoles couldnt pull off realistic notes, each note would sound perfect. So in this case, I chose a guitar instrument that has a very clean sound. The dirtyer sounding guitar sounds made it sound horrible and you couldnt hear the notes properly at all. If anything the song is its own style

I'll make a vid in the week that shows it if you want. The reason it's on Hard here is that on Expert it's really hard to keep up and it's kind of easy to fail on. I will try and complete the whole thing without failing! The drum beat itself is identical to the original on the game, which is why it's also hard because they arent real noises :D
