  • I like your 2 sided dish for doing the flour and egg dip. Wish I had one like that!

  • Aeri ..does this in Korea is a take out or a side dish.TKS

  • @adydbzgirl01

it is normally holiday or party food... it will be sidedish...

  • @aeriskitchen I was asking because I only have in front of me when I'm eathing only one dish korean have so many that it's confusing.

  • I love all your recipes :) And I will try to make this this week. Thank youuu :D

  • oh

can i subtitute the beef with chicken?

    thanks

  • hi spydergurlzz,

I will say.. hot dog.. or ham will match better for flavor.. thanks :D aha.. maybe you can't eat.. beef or pork ?? oops... to be honest, I don't know how it will be with chicken.. but why not try it..and see how it turns out.. how about that ?? thanks

  • i don't have cooking wine, is it okay if im not using it?

    thanks

  • hi spydergurlzz ,

Yep.. you can skip it.. thanks ;D

  • I guess I thought I was defending Aeri. I know my Korean relatives are so gracious they rarely will say anything even if they are offended. If Aeri has not removed your comments, then I guess I will have to respect that she does not care what you say.

  • hi sabrinamom,

I always feel very appreciate about your comments.. You helped me a lot in different ways.. I don't know why these are happening often.. I think.. youtube has this problem.. I don't delete people's comments even sometimes.. some people use bad words... I thought deleted by author means.. the person who wrote the comment.. oops. it was not... seriously. I don't know why some comments were deleted.. sorry about that..

  • Dear AHeartinSolitude. I was born in S. Korea and became an English teacher in the US. I speak perfect English. BUT I have NEVER insulted others. Aeri is sweet, respectful and has an accent that is actually very beautiful. She takes the time to share with all of us the delicious art of cooking. YOU need to go somewhere else with your negativity. We come here to be inspire and to drool. You are part of the problem of stereotypes.

  • I find it funny that the owner of the video who I was talking to, didn't mind the joke, while you out of nowhere comment on something that took place a year ago. Did you see the owner of the video freaking about the joke and stereotypes? No, she clearly understood that I was just poking fun, playing a joke, being a friend. It's not negativity, haven't your friends ever teased you jokingly? The things that I was told about like the 2 am studying thing was told to me by a cousin who LIVES in ROK.

  • But like anything, nothing is absolute. Some people do study their asses off and get rich and high paying jobs while others don't. The Starcraft thing is just a joke, but I find it generally true that most South Korean gamers are familar with Starcraft and are naturally skilled at it. Kind of like how most American kids are good at First Person Shooter games. Your attitude effects this whole situation about insulting others, when I was only poking fun.

  • 산적 ...ㅎㅎ 처음에 이 단어 보고 그 bandit 이라는

    뜻인줄 알았는데, 산적이라는 음식 이름이었네요

  • Hi, Parkjisung91

haha..I just checked my dictionary to see what "bandit" means.. hehe yep..funny... ^^ You could think that way !!! Good night !!!

  • it looks good...

thank you so much for sharing...

now if only i knew where to buy the korean crab legs...

    thank you for sharing.

  • Hi ^^ MyBowlOfRamen

^^ You can find the Korean crap legs in any oriental or Korean store. Thanks for your comment !!!

  • hahahahahaha sorry, you sound like this girl from Korea that just moved and my cousin.

    F(resh)O(ff the)B(ihaengi) accent hahaha

  • Hi, AHeartinSolitude

huk @,@ My Konglish (Korean-English) is that bad?? X( joke.. haha.. fresh off the bihaengi accent... funny..but I want to speak English naturally not FOB accent.. ㅜ.ㅜ anyway..thanks for comment :)

  • Don't worry, it'll come naturally as you use it more. I've heard much worse from other FOBs.

  • Hi, AHeartinSolitude

That sounds better ^^ yes... I will try to use English more. Thanks !!! by the way.. are you a Korean? Since you said..your cousin came from Korea??

  • Well, born and bred American, but Korean by blood. I'm no starcraft master, kimchi-eating, study until 2 am in the morning Korean... damn those Koreans =.= hehe j/p.

  • Hi, AHearinSolitude

wow... study Korean until 2 am ? @,@ If I study English hard like you, my English will be improved faster..hehe I'm proud of you !!!! anyway..Happy to meet you !!!

  • hahaha I meant Korean as in Korean people not language. My cousin told me that some kids in Korea study until 2 am cause of hwagon and all that jazz. I'm no Starcraft Master, kimchi-eating, study until 2 am in the morning, Korean person. That might sound better lol...

  • Hi, AHeartinSolitude

huk @,@ I totally misunderstood.. hehe.. sorry.. now I got it. I didn't study until 2 am though... even I was a Korean student. ^^ Study too much.. and don't study at all.. both are problem I think... anyway.. Have a good weekend !!!

  • WTF I just DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU WERE TRYING TO ACHIEVE BY TELLING HER THIS OVER AND OVER. REMIND URSELF OF UR SUPERIORITY!?!

Cos u must be sooo much better&therefore special?! *SMUG*????!

U know what,I don't think it's just some minor ppl from diff.ethnic grps that suffer from 'soft-anti-all-new-immigrants-who-don't look exactly like us, sound exactly like us,talk exactly like us-must be lower-than-us-oh-wonderful-me'syndrome anymore..

  • uhm, I was joking about common stereotypes said about FOBs from Korea... calm down and take a joke. I'm not serious about anything I said. I'm not saying anything about being superior. I'm just saying I'm proud to be an American. And if you're not American, well whatever, no one said you have to be. If you take everything so seriously, you're going to miserable in life so lean back, relax, and laugh. And if you find something offensive, ignore it. :D

  • Besides FOBs are cool, they know all the Korean curses and they're good at Starcraft. Which is why whenever I play with them at church, they destroy me : (

  • On another note, you did realize that she took it as a joke right? If you actually read the conversation...

  • I think you are mean. Why are u saying all these put downs? For over a month,it seems? So are u so proud ur fluent in English?! K, I'm not gonna swear, but did it never occur to u ur English ability came from the fact u were born in an ENGLISH SPEAKING COUNTRY?! Why don't you try making cooking videos in some random language completely different to English-like Korean or Japanese. Then see how u feel when ppl like you leave comments that are NOT RELATED to the actual cooking video content at all.

  • Look, I'm joking. I'm poking fun. I just commented that she sounds like a girl that recently came from Korea at my church like SHE SHOULD. Am I shunning her due to her English skill? Did I insult her by calling her a foreigner or saying that she sounded idiotic? Accents sound funny, but I did tell her she'll lose it as time goes on. I suck at Korean, I sound like a retarded kid when I try. So what? I accept all the jokes about my Korean by FOBs. I don't explode and take it personally. Calm down.

  • This is making me so hungry!

  • hi ^^ AmericantheBabylon

oops..sorry that I made you hungry..hehe thanks for comment !!!

  • looks soo yummy!!!

  • Hi, mellove5

    thank you ~~~~~ :D

  • that looks so good! i'm a vegetarian so could i do the same with just marinated vegetables?

  • Hi, LOLROBOTZ Oh,, I had to consider vegetarians too.. I thought of your question today, and got an idea for you..hehe.. mashroom.. I thought of tofu too..but I think.. tofu has own flavor.. so it will not taste like the beef... and hard to skewer .. but..mashroom, it will be chew like beef...and good to use for skewer and.. it will get the flavor from marinating..

  • continue ~~~~

Then..what kind of mushroom will be the best...hm... Have you ever heard of the name, "oyster mushroom" ?? You can find it in the asian or korean store. Please let me know if you know that !! then..I will explain more.. thanks for your question..I could think of a new way of cooking it for vegetarians. ^^

  • oh yes i've heard of oyster mushrooms, i've never tried them though but i know that mushrooms are good vegetarian substitutes where meat is used, that's a good idea :) maybe if i got really firm tofu and fried it first it would be easier to skewer?

  • Hi, again ^^

Yes.. you can try firm tofu, that will work too..if you like tofu.. hehe and let me know the result. but try the oyster mushroom too if you can get it.. I do think, for the taste part..it will be the closest to the original skewered beef. ^^

I think you can fry the firm tofu with the sauce for the meat when you make this dish.. or.. Marinate the fresh mushroom with the sauce. and fry it. then use it like the beef. thanks !!!

  • okay i will try that! the asian grocery market is in a close city though so i won't be able to until i go there again. but when i do i'll update you on how it goes :) thank you!

  • ^^ yep !!! LOLROBOTZ

Please let me know... thanks to you, I might find a new good recipe..hehe Good luck !!! thanks !!!!

  • hi, i tried it with smaller strips of normal mushrooms (crimini i think?) and i forgot to cook the mushrooms before i skewered them, i just put them on right away after marinating so they were still raw on the inside but aside from them the taste was very very good! i will try it again sometime cooking the mushrooms before i skewer them C:

  • Hi, lolrobotz

Very good !!! Actually, I might try mushroom for this recipe someday too.. We found new food together..hehe thanks for the good result. :)

  • thank you for the recipe! :)

  • Oooh this is something I use to make, only I made "sausages" from ground beef and grilled the skewers on the grill :) This I have to try though, it sounds even better. I love the combination beef-crabsticks ^-^

  • Hi, amvn

Thanks for comment.. You make "sausages" by yourself? wow.. that's neat !!!! I like grilled food... your food sounds good. ^^

  • 0.0 its like a pancake!!

  • Hi, Lugrashio ^^

    @,@ it is like a pancake?? ^^

  • Looks great! Is therea dipping sauce for this?

  • Hi, rae1968

No, we just eat this without any dipping sauce. Since the beef is marinated with bulgogi sauce and the crap stick has own flavor, we don't need sauce. :)

  • Soju juseyo? ; )

  • Hi, Tamar1973

Haha.. So ju upseyo ~~~ Mi-an-yo..kkk Your Korean is good.. :)

  • I don't think I have ever had this, but I love beef and crab sticks! I'll have to try this sometime! Thank you!

  • ^^ Hi, pinkmacprincess

Yes, if you love beef and crab sticks, I bet you will like this. Please try it someday..hehe thanks for comment. :)
