Several times I have heard Sarah Palin speak to how she is committed to upholding the constitution of the State of Alaska but I have NEVER heard her same the same thing about the U.S. constitution.
It should bother everyone. Her mayoral campaign recieved money from the separtist Stolls who she later tried to have installed into her vacated seat on the city council. Later Stolls and others from the AIP have had an open door to the governors office. She supported legislation that favored the AIP party and the establishment of separatist militias.

I do not have a problem with putting your state above country because the US government is what ties all of the states together so I find nothing wrong with state pride but the ideal of seceding from the US sounds wrong but then again that was found on Wikipedia a site where you can write anything you want, so take everything on the site with a grain of salt

Look, in reality I have no problem with people putting their state or country above country. Actually this is why the US is a Constitutional REPUBLIC. It wasn't intended to be a nationalistic dictatorship- whether a Republican or Democrat in office. The PEOPLE and the STATES should be in charge. Look, in reality I have no problem with people putting their state or country above country. Actually this is why the US is a Constitutional REPUBLIC. It wasn't intended to be a nationalistic dictatorship- whether a Republican or Democrat in office. The PEOPLE and the STATES should be in charge. LMFAO - I received an email from someone who said John Palin was a member of AIP 14 years ago and for only one year. FACT - Palin was a member from 1994 until 2002. 7 years plus and is now an Independent with AIP sympathies. Sarah herself made a speech for them 2 years ago as Gov.

What John Paliin THOUGHT 14 years ago, has no relevance to Sarah Palin's politics. He was a member for one year and while some in the party want secession some only want Alaska to be less dependent on US Aid and to be less controlled. The US Government owns more of the state than do Alaskans. No other state is as controlled by the Federal Government as Alaska is.
Shame you people do not read the AIP website or study the issue, but simply fall in line when shown a video of dubious origin.

agreed...when dealing with matters like this one needs to be more pragmatic about the situation...not flying off the handle and trying to sight one guilty by association, like with Rev. Wright...He did two sermons out of a thirty year career that were more than questionable taste and bam for thirty years this is all he's been preaching.

Sarah has been helping the AIP even up to this year. She has a documented Open Door Policy to their reps and tried to get some of them on the BoS in Wasilla.
AK government insiders have described Todd as a "Shadow Governor."
Which makes sense because it's hard to believe she is the "brains" of that operation.

Its funny how McBush will probably win.. He gets a pretty face, somehow slaps "change" on it and morons are eating out of his hand. It boggles me how so many red state poor and middle class vote republican when that party does nothing but shit on everyone but the top 2%. I've served in both Afghanistan and Iraq, my family comes from a long line of veterans but if the Republicans win this year, I'm moving to Canada. I can't handle my gas prices doubling again while Exxon gets richer.

I'm actually 29, joined when I was 19, was in the strait of Malacca on the USS Princeton on 9/11, was in the Gulf a week later. Was headed to the Gulf for my second Westpac when the Iraq war started, about a week later I was in the Gulf. You can enlist in the Army at 42, the Navy at 34, its perfectly reasonable for a GI to be 50 and have seen action in both wars.

60days in the run up to Nov 4 is like a lifetime in politics. the dirt will come out and the mccain campaign will wilt under this charade. mccain my be forced to have sarah withdraw, with dignity because of her family, and take leiberman or mitt or ridge as the VP. that alone will deactivate the turnout of the base and indie voters will flock to obama. it is going to be an interesting 60 days.

Why? because it is a none issie! the AKIP is the 3nd largest party in Alaska and they share many common beliefs with Republicans, so it only makes since that Palin(R) would reach out to the AKIP for support, don't it?!
And the show her address to the convention like she was actually there, she wasn't, it was just a video she sent...
