  • Needless to say he was more than satisfied w/ my pick. I don't know if it was the song or the fact that my boy was 14 & didn't really know how to drive standard but he must've hit 90 down the Ave. Even made an old man dive while he was trying to cross the street...Sorry viejo!

  • I'll never forget being 15 & helping my boy hook up his living room speakers to his toyota hatchback hooptie. He asked me to play one of my tapes that was gonna thump bass down the street and I chose this jam right here. That's how we used to show off in the hood back in the days...if you were underage & broke like us.

    brotherrahim?blogspot?cizzle

  • Thanks! You had the only picture of Mc Rell on the entire internet! Thats a shame!

  • Hey! I'm really MC Rell AKA Terrell Davis click my page to see me when I'm 40! I'll be uploading videos of me ranting soon!

  • Thanks for the love and the dope album Terrell. Add me.

  • @MCRellMusic im a huge fan from day 1 im also 40 yrs young lol

    uptown ny

  • I'm loving the sampling of Booker T. & the M.G.'s "Melting Pot" in this song... Big Daddy Kane later freaked it like HELL for his "Another Victory" joint. ^_^

  • @BigLupeRakimDee

BDK's "Another Victory" is another song I played to death.

If I had a tape deck in my car I'd still play it.

  • well oridinary moe, my dad he thinks most music now has no point at all and its all jokes and stupidness now

  • @StupidVids2009

    you're dad is right

  • Mc rell is my dad (real name terrell davis)

=D people still ask him today if he can go back to rapping. he is real good @ freestyling

  • Im 36 now, but I used to blast "Life of an Entertainer" for hours...brings back good memories hearing this. 'How does your Dad feel about the state of hip hop today?

  • he thinks rap is all about the same things and is the lyrics are just looped, so they are just saying the same exact thing over and over and over again. he says rap is fake nowadays.

  • this was a very good record. mc rell was very underrated, mainly because he sounded like rakim, though not as much in this joint. i liked his album also, with "soundwave sermon", "hole in my pocket", and the more-known "life of an entertainer" and "into the future". rell had some heavy hitters supporting him (awesome two, cutmaster dc) so he definitely wasn't that bad an mc.

    thanks, truths2002, for posting.

  • mc stezo mc rell yz are a few rappers that got slept on -- look for "champion of love" another rare rap song and peep ou too poetic who eventually joined rza in gravediggas

  • he is an biter

  • yo, almost forgot about this chap!Thnx for dropping it here!

  • life of an entertainer, Killer baseline

  • Yo Rell was kind of slept on in his era, but I think his label dropped the ball in terms of knowing what to do with him.

  • this was one of my fave songs of this era 87 88

  • this iz one uv da rappers that had the lyrical flow that many rap artists lack today.

  • No Doubt
