@BrokenHearts541 I don't THINK they have one. On some websites it says they would rate it a 14+. But I would personally say 12+, It does have alcohol drinking and violence, but not over the top? It has sex, but the sex scenes are them basically stripping into underwear and making out. I wouldn't call that inappropriate as most kids have probably seen that kind of stuff(On TV). I would say mature kids 12+ could watch it. Sorry for all this, you only asked the age rating, haha! :P.

@MMZ4 I think she did that to save Damon and Stefan, because, if she had left, Elena wouldn't be able to keep Caroline's mom from still killing them. In a point, that was a very selfless attitude from Caroline, to expose herself to her mom, even knowing that she would be putting her own life at risk, to save someone else's. The end was what really sucked when Caroline's mom said that she wasn't her daughter anymore.. Poor Caroline...
