Good Hurricane cockpit view and nice flying.

The mix of Russian and English comm is disconcerting. That weird moaning sound is a useless annoying distraction. It would have been better to hear the engine.

Just downloaded it and its awesome.. the only thing i dont like is when you get shot down by an enemy you cant actually crash land.. it just says press enter ... does any one knows how to change this..?? if not the game is awesome.. graphics-8, gameplay-7, realistic- about 6... who ever who still havent got it gotta get it... it is one of the best.. im telling you guys!! :)

Visually this is the best looking combat flight sim I have ever played and I've played them all. Its a shame there is no mission editor though. But it does have the all important fun-factor, the damage, fire and crashes are the most exciting and fun of any game I've played. Certainly way better than the more expensive and unwieldy Rise of Flight. That game could have been great if they had decent damage modelling, and their mission editor is useless. Good job Gaijin, but make it better.

The problem I have with this game is that its either too easy or too hard.

On the BOB mission, if you choose arcade, each plane blows up after one hit. If you choose sim you still have to attack around 100 bombers at once and are lucky to survive the return fire. I wish there was a realistic mode which didnt include the arcade missions.

Mastercluster this game uses a heavily modified il2 engine and still uses its fm, the team were even given help by Oleg himself, so it has everything to do with the original game.

the game probably has the best graphics out of any flight sims to date.but being a huge il-2 fan for many years,i am VERY disappointed with Birds Of Prey.flight models are very forgiving, all contacs are visible on the map,there is no bullet trajectory,the campaign has unlimited ammo and fuel, and targets take a ridiculously little amount of ammo to shoot down)THIS INFO IS ONLY BASED ON SIMULATION MODE

if you are a hardcore gamer seeking for more and more realism, this is not the game for you...they downed the realism for better graphics - and to attract a wider range of customers..EVEN at SIMULATION MODE, the game does not compare to il-2...i tried many flight sims, and il-2 ( 10 years old now)is still THE BEST

If you move your head left to right while still looking forward, does the track IR 5 shift your head in the cockpit, or does it just work for tilting your head to look around you?

Someone demonstrated some great tech with a wiimote where side to side head movement created a very interesting 3d illusion.

I played old IL-2 on gamepad and I had no problems with it. Only problem is pick-up - I used mousewheel :-D but you can use buttons as well. Of course you'll need a keyboard for other commands.

В видео используется режим "Аркада", просто для показа графики и геймплея. На сложности "Реализм" и "Симулятор" все гораздо сложнее, есть и эффекты перегрузки, и сваливание, в общем вся физика поведения самолета честная.

Думаю что нормально пойдет. Игра вообще хорошо оптимизирована, у меня 4 ядра, 4гб оперативы и 8800GTS - идет на максимальных, сглаживание и фильтрация 4х, на глаз примерно 50-60fps

@hshnotdead У тебя комп гораздо сильнее моего почти в два раза, а игра дает у тебя всего 50 fps, у меня вообще тогда будет 25 и ниже-а это полное фуфло, на таких фпс играть нельзя
