@Izanagidonutz It's fairly important, yeah. It's problem is it's first 17 episodes or so are crap, only to have a huge shift in tone around the same time this opening shows up. By the end, it's starting to rival Zeta in some places. Of course, this is assuming you are watching the Universal Century timeline.

@TheMostBleedingHeart This is the 2nd opening theme in terms of how many songs were used. Though there were 3 openings to Double Zeta Gundam, but the first two both used the same song; Anime Ja Nai, which is the 1st opening theme song.

The first time I ever saw ZZ Gundam was Gundam Battle Assault while I was still a kid at the time. The second time was the Gundam vs Zeta Gundam game.

After that, there was the three Dynasty Warriors Gundam games.

His High Mega Cannon reminded me of Cyclops for some reason.

Someone could've cared uploaded this version to gendou.com. I mean, I downloaded "this" song and was surprised to hear it sounds a bit different from what I was expecting. Then I found out that what I actually have was really another version, sung by Puru and Puru Two's voice actress, Chieko Honda.

Oh well, I liked both versions anyway. Though I prefer this version better.

I am not someone to cry easily, and despite all the character deaths between Mobile Suit Gundam, Gundam Zeta, and Gundam ZZ, I didn't ever shed a tear (though I did feel sorrow for the characters and expressed shock). I, however, burst into tears during the final episode of Gundam ZZ when you see Fa and a liberated Kamille running down the beach holding hands and smiling. After such an intense and weighty story, full of unsure ends and plentiful battles, that innocence and beauty struck me.

@ranchdressing Well.. Her name was taken from an old magazine name Titled Lemon People. Lemon People->L People->LPeo Ple->Elpeo Ple. So I guess they just thought they'd just take the Japanese accent sound when sounding the 'ple' part of 'people'. Which is probably why we get Puru instead of 'Play/Prey/Pray'. I mean... it does sound better when she does her PuruPuruPuru chant. XD

Like Pio98 said, Silent Voice and Not an Anime are like Night and Day.

I admit it was really hard to stay on the ZZ Gundam Train as the first half is completely too cheery and full of filler parts. But yeah later on the story gets good and I saw it through to the end. I suggest they Dub it but change up the story a bit. Make it good like Zeta Gundam.

They will have to eventually do it. They are riding themselves into a corner when they made Unicorn Gundam and showed Puru Twelve.

I disagree. As surreal, in the context of Gundam, and just downright awful as the first 19 episodes of ZZ is, I don't think the series should be changed if it's ever dubbed.

I don't see how the creators are "themselves into a corner" with Marida being a Puru clone either.

@Jerrid120 The first episodes of ZZ weren't that bad, they continued from where Z left off, they showed mildly bad quality of life for an average spacenoid. Is the comedy thing really that bad? It made me laugh quite alot, but still had the content of a Gundam show. There were still epic fights, death and a colony drop etc...

In terms of physical appearance, she just doesn't look good to me. I can't provide any reasoning for that, it's just the way I feel. In terms of her being the great villain most make her out to be, first she fell for someone a number of years younger than her. Her NT powers, while impressive, seemed pedestrian compared to Judau. & in the final battle, not only was she not that great of a pilot, she committed suicide. There was no hope to win the war but still, that was just weak.

Great song. I love the buildup of 'Aaa-iii-ta-iii', especially over the opening itself with Haman flying upwards from Puru. I don't know why but I always enjoyed watching that bit. The second ending, also by Jun Hiroe, is good as well.

My favorite Gundam opening out of all of them.

Mostly because when this opening comes out, it's almost a shocking contrast compared to the lightheartedness of the first opening and the 1st half of ZZ gundam.

When this song comes around, it's as if the show said "Alright, enough monkeying around, time to man up".

It's almost a solmen opening since this is the time in ZZ gundam when major characters start biting it, like Puru and Puru 2, Glemey, and Haman.

Celdrach, there's episodes of ZZ Gundam on youtube. However, no offense, but some of the versions have VERY crappy subs. For me, I obtain most of my Japanese exclusive Gundams from Ebay and the like. Thats how I got Victory Gundam. One more thing, if you do buy the box sets, make sure with the seller that the subs are good and reliable. For me, the Victory Gundam subs were just reliable enough to cut it. But yeah, either way, make sure that the subs are reliable.

I always loved this song. First time I ever heard it was in the Playstation 2 video game, Gundam Vs. Zeta Gundam. I instantly fell in love. Finding the mp3 has been a challenge, and I have yet to succeed.

Beyond that, and more importantly, I still have yet to see Gundam ZZ. If anybody knows where I can find all the episodes, I would be eternally grateful, as I love Gundam.
