It seemed as it was yesterday when my girlfriend and I went to watch this in the movies sometime in January 2010. I loved this film/cartoon more than she did, Unfortunately things didn't work out between us but I'm glad I went to watch it with her. It brings back good memories and I am thankful i have them.

I think that they should make a Princess and the Frog part II and of course Tiana and Naveen won't be frogs anymore. Disney would take up where the first story left off because I would love to see how Tiana would handle Palace Life since she owns a restaurant, or would she have to choose between the two. If so, which would she choose?
The animation for the movie was simply gorgeous! Seeing it on the big screen last year....I felt like a little kid again.
To see that animation was....breathtaking....and while this isn't a 2-D movie, I tell ANYONE HERE who loves Disney....you HAVE TO SEE TANGLED! The trailers don't do it justice....it's not some sort of shrek knock off! It's just like any other classic BEAUTIFUL disney movie, only in 3D...the music is great! The villian is great! The princess was great! IT WAS A GREAT MOVIE!

My daughter absolutely LOVED this movie. It was her first time going to a movie in the theater. The woman behind the counter said every little girl that came it that day was as bouncy and excited as my daughter was.
I'm just flabbergasted that Disney has gone back to 2D animation. Pixar is breathtaking, but IMHO, traditional animation is the holy grail of cinema. And this film reminds me of the fun and artistry with Little Mermaid exactly 20 years earlier.
Hopefully this film will become a part of Disney classics that have won both moviegoers AND Oscar voters alike.
Maybe it's just because I've been Disney-deprived for so long, but I can't get enough of this movie ♥ It's actually one of my favourites now. Fantastic.

I'll be 20 two months, which means I grew up during the Disney Renaissance and I must admit I got pretty choked up when I watched this because it reminded me of all the wonderful Disney classics I grew up with and still love to death!! Just watching it made my heart melt in a way only Disney can do.....so in a nutshell I LOVED THIS MOVIE!!! Long live 2D animation!!!

We saw a sneak preview today in Austin. It was wonderful. As a New Orleanian having moved to Austin post-Katrina it was moving. That they took the time to get not just the various accents and NOLA stereotypes right but also the resulting cultural chemistry and character interaction was overwhelming. My Cajun wife was laughing hysterically at the firefly's flat accent. It was great.
even though the frog reminds me of the frog in the swan princess and the crocodile reminds me of the croc in all dogs go to heaven.. but neither of those were disney films so i guess its okayyy :P

But the biggest clanger has to be "Coming Only to Cinemas". They must have forgotten that it was due to be on DVD too. :)

I've seen it and yes! it's the best Disney film I've seen in years since "Little Mermaid" and those " Disney princesses" story days *sighs* =)

I liked the part where the frog prince gets smooshed by the book.

I'll be 20 two months, which means I grew up during the Disney Renaissance and I must admit I got pretty choked up when I watched this because it reminded me of all the wonderful Disney classics I grew up with and still love to death!! Just watching it made my heart melt in a way only Disney can do.....so in a nutshell I LOVED THIS MOVIE!!! Long live 2D animation!!!

@ArcInTheSky27 same here. I'll be 20 in less than a month too and I've longed for this kind of Disney animation to come back. My spirits soared when Enchanted was released but I'm really excited for this one!

Even a cartoon can instill faith in the fact that the world may be maturing in a socially positive way. I cant wait to take my nieces to see this. It will no doubt be a big boost to their psyches as little girls.

We saw a sneak preview today in Austin. It was wonderful. As a New Orleanian having moved to Austin post-Katrina it was moving. That they took the time to get not just the various accents and NOLA stereotypes right but also the resulting cultural chemistry and character interaction was overwhelming. My Cajun wife was laughing hysterically at the firefly's flat accent. It was great.

even though the frog reminds me of the frog in the swan princess and the crocodile reminds me of the croc in all dogs go to heaven.. but neither of those were disney films so i guess its okayyy :P
