I might add that I had the privilege of being in the audience the night this song was recorded. It was 1996 I believe and it was performed in Fairmount, IN at the Wesleyan Campgrounds tabernacle. What a night that was. The rafters of that old tabernacle were lifted to be sure. Many of the performers that night are gone now. Vestal and Howard Goodman, Jake Hess, James Blackwood, Jack Toney, George Younce, Glenn Payne, Hovey Lister, JD Sumner and others have left us but their music lives on.
Dear brothers and sisters. I believe that time is VERY short! If you truly believe in God PLEASE tell everyone you meet about Jesus. I would not want my worst enemy to go to Hell. We are to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to all people. It is going to get worse before it gets better. Continue to praise God and pray for America . Also remember to the Peace of Jerusalem. Maranatha!
@ljackso I agree with you time is short. We are nearer than ever before to being with JESUS! Through rapture or death. We are to be about the Father's business and to occupy until HE comes. JESUS IS COMING AND WE MUST BE LIKE THE WISE VIRGINS AND BE READY! HALLELUJAH! THANK YOU JESUS!
I miss the church where I grew up, I spend alot of time traveling and preaching and alot of times I will think back to the ladies who taught me in SS, and they are now starting to go to sleep, but I tell thier families that as long as I am out and about, they still live, because they taught me and I preach what they taught. God bless all Sunday School teachers and keep up the good work. Bro. Steven Everman
@stevene1965 : It will only be a little while until we all will be together again. I strongly believe that the Lord will return very soon. Certainly in my lifetime and I am 64. Even if He tarries we will all be together someday. God bless.
@clasjaz1 All the churches that I have ever been to have received black people with open arms. God made them and HE loves all people. The Lord is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentence. JESUS is COMING! GOD IS LOVE!
I have listened to this song more than U will ever know; Praise God for the singing of the group that sang this song; & all of the photos that were taken; btw; where were these photos taken at; if u dont mind me asking???
Watching this makes me think of our mission hall at Huna Scotland and our dear Pasror Ritchie who is now home in glory we had wonderfulgospel music there

i remember the old country church and i miss them so much...i miss my childhood where my dad was a minister and i felt so safe..which i do not feel any more..dad and mom are both gone and i have learned so many lessons..but i know the lord and will go home to be with him..i am somewhere listening for my name...sanangel
Sounds like me, Although my parents are still living at ages 91 and 86, my dad is still preaching. Says preachers don't retire. I'm so thankful, everyday, that they are still here. I don't know how I can ever stand it, when they have to leave me. H.
Just checked my youtube mail, and you had asked me what denomination in Atlanta where this type of old fashion music can still be found. It can be found at virtually any independent fundamental Baptist church where the King James Bible is preached and believed.
The photos match nicely with this music. The Gaithers are always inspirational but wathcing the accompanying photos brings back so many good memories of going to church. Even in the middle of busy urban Atlanta one can still find small coutry churches surviving and still preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ from the King James Bible. Praise Jesus Christ. He changes lives.
God Bless all who sing this song and understand the words,

I can't help wondering what would have happened if a black family had walked into this old country church.
