  • Hi Hue75 Just gotta say i love your playing, very inspiring videos. I just decided to take the plunge and learn guitar at the ripe old age of 44. I just picked up this same Blackjack with the JB/59's . I wanted something to learn on that will last and still sound good when my ear becomes a bit more critical and something I wont ever be ashamed to drag out. Keep these awesome video comming brother!!

  • @IHaveSynthed Thanks! Good luck.

  • Did you use a preset or your own sound?

  • @azbball557 I use the presets.

  • Nice playing dude!

  • Way cool man! Well done!

  • Hey, I have this same amp...VERY COOL! But I have one question about it, how do you make just a pure sound out of it (NO EFFECTS) I need to know so I can hook my pedal up to it, and easily switch from pure to distortion. Please, if you know, then help me out.

  • i want one of those 7 string blackjacks so bad, but right now i am very happy with my godin sdxt.

  • I have this Guitar and its mad sick!!! Good job man

  • hey,i have a c-1 lady luck.I have also played a blackjack before they are great guitars,anyway u are a great guitarist

  • did you have to make any set-up adjustments going from the stock ghs boomer 10's to 9's? i also wanna go to 9's

  • no adjustments

  • hi wat strings you use on this?

  • I think they are Ernie Ball, 009.

  • how much did it cost you to change your strings? and did you have to get your guitar set up(ie. bridge height) after the change, b/c i know that the guitar comes with daddario 10's, and they are just killing my fingers, as I'm used to 9's.

  • no dude just leave it the way it is...I changed from 9s to 10s and I got used to it in less than a week...you never want to make your fingers weaker you want them stronger!

  • I'm not sure of the difference, but I have a C1 blackjack.

  • Thanks!

  • Very nice playing! I was on the Schecter site, and looks like there are 2 types of Blackjacks. C1 blackjack and O06 Blackjack. What is the difference? Which one is yours? Thanks for the demo.

  • very nice solo! keep up the great work! but that wasnt really a pink floyd solo, gilmour never plays that fast or that distorted, it sounded more vai-ish, or like satch

  • Thanks. What I meant by "A Pink Floyd Style Background" is that the Fender G-DEC amp backing track is called "Think Floyd." This is supposed to sound similar to a Pink Floyd jam track.

  • Nasty Guitar

  • have you played schecters (ANY schecters). the blackjacks are pretty much theyre best diamond series guitars and play like a dream!

  • I have a blackjack and it's my favorite playin' guitar. The only thing I don't like about it is the dark dot inlays, which are hard to see in low lighting. The Seymour Duncan pickups sound amazing. I use the blackjack in some of my other videos. Of course, I'm not sure if you're talking to me or Yoda307. Take care.

  • yoda307

  • Yeah I have played schecter's. I had an Omen 6 it was a great little axe. built like tank. I traded it in for a gibson flying V. I'd rather have a schecter to be honest. I love the diamond series.

  • okay thanx a lot! I'd just like you to post more of

your amazing guitarworx! Are you playin'in a band,if

yes I'd like to buy a CD! And now I wait for my new

    Schecter Exotic Star ( 2 days )!

Thank you so far, take care.....

  • this is an amazing tone ! which one of the blackjacks and settings are you using ! Or is that your secret !

Very beautiful guitar+ amp sound ! I ask because I

    ordered a G-DEC 30 W ! Thanx and keep on rocking !

  • The first part of the video (before I get up out of the chair) was played on a Pod XT Live (cranked Soldano setting). After that, I am playing on the standard setting for "Think Floyd" on the G-DEC.

  • Beautiful, thanks to you I'm now sold on getting a Schecter Black Jack and a Fender G-Dec. What a great tone.

  • haha i have a blackjack. then i got a marshall MG30DFX but decided to get rid of the amp and get a G-DEC. so now i have the same combo as you as well as in this vid. cheers mate!

  • man , that was unbelievable ! I wish i could play the 7 min solo lol ! I have a g-dec & the guitar port , great tools , the g-dec has a bit much feedback or hiss (?) on some presets .

  • I was thinking of getting the G-DEC but I have to say that you are one hell of a guitar player. I hope that you are out there playing and not just alone in the bedroom.

  • wow ur really good!! im looking at buying this amp is it worth how much u hav to pay??

  • Actually, the first part of the video (before I get up out of the chair) was played on a Pod XT Live (cranked Soldano setting). The second part was played on the Fender G-DEC amp (15 watt version). The Fender is around $269 (US) if purchased new. If you're just starting out, I highly recommend the G-DEC since it has a lot of built in jam backgrounds to practice to and build your chops. It's actually great for practice for any skill level. Take care.

  • it sounds perfectly. What would u recommend for a more metal approach?I am looking for something fit for heavy metal but good enough for ballads,if u can pls help me! :) btw u play the guitar like a god :)

  • Thanks for the kind words. It depends on your budget, but if you would like something that produces all sorts of guitar sounds, I recommend the Pod XT Live.

  • Thanks! It's kind of expensive for me,so I think i'll stick with the G-Dec!Thanks again!
