  • Rarely seen footage!!! FAH plane on the Air. I wonder what ever happen to the videos that "Proyecciones Militares" had from the FAH aniversaries. Thanks for shearing and if you have more please post them.

  • Yea, you have experience killing old men, women and children. You couldn´t defeat a bunch of civilians like the FMLN and the HAF is ready to kick your ass sooner than you can say "guanaco".

  • Yea, you have experience killing old men, women and children. You couldn´t even defeat a bunch of civilians ( FMLN) and the HAF now can put you out of your misery very fast as it did in 69.

  • with planes you can not win a war, you need infantry troops, with infantry troops we own the land, our formidable super comandos can kick you ass we have a lot experience, viva EL SALVADOR!!

  • is this Maj Sotos dogfight?

    that guy kicked ass

  • I was not aware of this video. A corsair which had belonged to the Honduran Air Force crashed on take-off at the Bridgeport Connecticut USA airport (Sikorsky Memorial Airport) in the 1980's. The airport is surrounded by a swamp. The plane nosed in and the pilot was killed. Sorry I cannot be more specific, it was many years ago...

  • To this day the FAH pilots pay respects to the salvadoran pilots Varela and Cortez who died in the dogfights (the third pilot survived because it bailed out before his corsair exploded).

  • I must say that in the ground was another story, we barely resisted the salvadoran infantry and almost lose the Capital, but the Honduran people fought along with machetes and guns. They kick our asses the first day and half of the second, the third was our counterofensive, we kick their asses in the San Rafael Battle. They gain nothing with the invasion.

  • As my fellow countryman VIVAELCHORIZO pointed out: There where 2 Salvadoran Mustangs and 1 Corsair (also Salvadoran) down against none down of the Honduran Air Force.

  • Yeah!!! we kick the Guanacos ass on 69

  • my grandfather was in the air force flying those old birds.. and he fought in world war 2 also..

  • The last dogfight ever between piston engine planes was in the Honduras El Salvador war in 69... Vught F4U4 against Mustangs P-51. Both served in opposite ends of the world during WWII.

  • Who won? Mustang?

  • Corsairs...

  • my father, and another pilot lost 3 months promotion 4 photographng each other in flight near ohakea, 1944.( Flying harvards, solo) I have many artifacts here inc: training manuels, maps, tour diary log book etc.He flew cousairs out of Emirau Is. from about May ,1945 till the end of ww2.The only photo of him in the Islands is a squad group shot, with pilots standing on, and around, a parked Coursair, which shows how large these bombers were.

  • The Corsair was not a bomber, it was a carrier based fighter (hence it's low to the ground, bent wing design). F4U meaning F for fighter.

  • "By the beginning of 1945, the Corsair was a full-blown "mudfighter," performing strikes with high-explosive bombs, napalm tanks, and HVARs. She proved surprisingly versatile, able to operate everything from Bat glide bombs (without sacrificing a load of 2.75 in {70 mm} rockets) to 11.75 in (300 mm) Tiny Tim rockets."

  • quien filmo ese video?

  • Interesante video! nunca un corsario de la FAH en vuelo. Si tenés más videos subilos.
