Went to see this and it was amazing to hear people laughing during the torture sequences... that was probably more frightening than the play itself!

If anybody was a fan of Paul Ritter in this then go and see The Norman Conquests at The Old Vic. He is an amazing actor and really makes the show.

The play was really weird and confusing

but thanks to some A-level theory work

I partly understand it now

Pinter takes a bit of getting into but if you start with The Birthday Party because it's just classic Pinter and then you'll be hooked. His work is so eccentric and yet poignant and he truly deserves the Nobel Prize.
