Unfortunately for me, I had medium-thin hair in the beginning due to hair loss from the hypothyroid issue:( But from what I understand, it does grow back in about a year. I am trying to keep it long for as long as I can, with hopes that I won't have to cut it. But... I would MUCH rather have very thin hair instead of that big round face I had 5 months ago!
