  • Does anyone know who the current owner is? I have one that needs restoring and I would love to find someone to do it?

  • @yukoners4434 I do not know who the owner is and haven't seen him or his DeSoto since I videotaped this car. I suggest looking on the internet for antique car restorers near your home. Check out a restorer completely and thoroughly to ensure that once you leave your DeSoto with this business that they have done many excellent restorations before and won't fold up and are completely honest. Good luck with your DeSoto.

  • This is car porn. WOTTA BEAUTY!

  • @toadsalad17 I gotta tell you when I saw this Desoto pull up my tongue dropped out of my mouth and I drooled all over myself. I had never seen a car quite like this in person for some time. Glad you enjoyed this as much as I did taping it. Thanks for viewing.

  • impressive car!here in germany is one 38 coupe for sale for about 44.000 USD.never saw them coupes before.really beautiful!and pretty rare i think.

and it is in original condition :)

  • @GIwillo I would like to see the 38 coupe and $44k is about what this would sell for in the U.S. The reason being that you have an older car that is rare like this and in excellent condition, someone will want it bad enough to spend that kind of money. I really appreciate you viewing this rare DeSoto and commenting.

  • Glad to see Chris's old girl back out and running again. It spent many years languishing away in the barn in NW Iowa.

  • @roadkillontheweb Oh, so you know the history of this DeSoto? Well, it looks great and glad that it was rescued from the barn. This is so rare and so beautiful. A classic treasure. Thanks for viewing and commenting.

  • I have known the car for 20 plus years when it was in the Binder collection in Spencer Iowa. Chris Binder had at least one Desoto of every year of manufacture 1929-61 the collection was sold off the settle the estate and this was one of Chris's favorites.

  • @roadkillontheweb Oh! I remember now the Binder collection. I had heard about this amazing Desoto collection. I can see why it was Chris's favorite. It is so rare and so beautiful and I like it very much myself. Thanks for the info, I appreciate it.

  • What a peach! Beautiful and rare Desoto.

  • @historybuffish Man, I was amazed to see this old and rare Desoto. Great looking and great running car. Don't see too many of these like this.
