i gave up on this game because of this boss, even if i get away and try to hide behind a stone he'll still teleport near me and grab me, and out of the eight or ten times i tried beating him he i'd say he tried putting me back in his stomach about twice
it's like theres no real strategy to this boss fight, it's basically 'get lucky' why do some games that are so good have really shitty parts like this?
@thezec Getting put back in the stomach is actually a good thing, you won't come out until you exhaust another life bar of the boss's health. The only thing you need to worry about in the stomach are poison and small onis (both much easier to handle than the actual boss). As for the teleport, if he appears above you, use the attack-dash to get away from the area as fast as possible.
@VantasFilms You`re right about the Japanese folklore in games, but there is other good ones. But normally the "generic karate" games have more marketing hehe.
This was my least favorite boss. I didn't realize until my second try what "hide behind the stones" meant, and even then it didn't work some of the time. Surprised I beat it, really.
no, it does work, but he might get to you if your too close. From what I can tell, it also lowers down his Red Power Aura and then you can try to attack him. I didn't notice the pattern until the 2nd time I battled him. Only thing you need to watch out for is the grab, it whittles down your flame pretty quickly.
maybe ur suppose to duck(if the game allows u to) behind the rocks in order to dodge it. although i'm not sure that'll work, but i say give it a go and see wat happens, but so far that's my best guess
@gizelbelcoot Oo-Oni was a way better boss than Bishamon. Most of Momo's bosses were also significantly harder than Kisuke's bosses (Nue, Ippon-Datara and Oo-Oni especially). Kisuke does beat her in the final boss department though.

I think this is one of the few games that shows the REAL Japanese Folklore. Outside of it, It's all those Karate-generic street fighters.
