  • theres one of these at my local guitar shop for $950. its a 1958, its a little beat up, but the neck is perfectly straight and there is no serious damage. what do you think about that?

  • @nathanihensel That sounds about right if you like the guitar. In this terrible economy I would try to make a lower offer and negotiate. Guitar prices are way way down, drive a hard bargain! regards

  • Can't tell you how much I have enjoyed this posting! With this same guitar would you consider "Blues Boy Tune"!

Additionally, what strings are you using?

  • Can u tell me abit abou the neck on this model? Is it thick, thin?

What kind of a shape would you say it it?

I found one in the adds but the guy is not near.

    Thanx a lot

  • @bebenavole If you have played the USA Gibson 1959 reissue Les Paul it is basically just like that only the Gretsch is a maple neck, and the fretboard is Brazilian Rosewood. Don't let knowitall geeks tell you different. I own solid brazilian rosewood guitar and purchased a neck from warmoth that is BR, it is easily identifiable if you can directly compare. The acoustical tone on this guitar is awesome, just wish it had a treble pickup.

  • @vintagekory, love this clip.........what strings are you using as the tone is phenomenal! I own this exact guitar in a "64" model. I really do not want for a bridge pickup as that void is covered by my 335. I love my clipper just as she is! Would love to see you post "Blues Boy Tune" with this same guitar! The channel is awesome!

  • Really enjoyed your "improv". Also, excellent tone. Looks like you got a good deal.

  • great playing great sound : )

  • Great wailin guitar ..I love this ...kudos !!!!

  • Swinging with a gretsch!!!!

  • Nice! I like how you took it easy on the effects and ephasized your playing and the guitar's sound.

  • Awesome

  • I wonder what that would sound like though my JC.....hmmmmm :)

  • Hi ,are you using any effects,or this is just the clipper?

    Thks

  • First part, completely nothing but tiny bit of reverb, 2nd part, backing track, eq'd, tiny bit of reverb, a slight overdrive.

  • Just scouting out the Gretsch sound

and your vid helped tremendously.. thanks.... liked the little demo..

  • Hi

this guitar is cool--Gruss from Germany

  • Awesome! LOL ... your sense of humility is not something indigenous to most of us pickers ....
