I taped this song for Mother's Day when I was 13. Despite a difficult mother-daughter relationship I wanted to tell her I loved her. My sister saw my mum crying in her room when listening to this song all by herself. She never responded to me. Now, 26 years later, my mum and I are not on speaking terms. Every one of us has that one real love that we will never forget. When i broke up with "Lynn" 30 years ago this song came over the radio just as we hung up with each other that last time. Even though i'm married many years now and "moved on" as best i could, I know i still love the woman i lost so many years ago. Nothing reminds me of that truth better than this song and one other song called "Even Now" by Barry Manilow. It's a one two punch that bleeds my heart every time..........
