interethnic fights is EXACTLY what SPDC wants, to prove only army can rule myanmar. NLD is 80% of the people, SPDC only 10%. You know, the Democratic Republic of the Union of Burma's government agreed to give autonomy and independence to the ethnic regions (Kayin, Kayah, Kachin) within 5 years of independence. So Burma wins independence from Great Britain in 1948. The ethnic groups begin attacking the legal Burmese government in the year, well, 1948. Now, had they begun attacking in 1953, I would not have a problem. The Tatmadaw just did, and is doing, it's job. This 60 year civil war didn't have to start back in 1948

20,000 men? OMG! how many Regiments and batallions. I think its damn difficult to attack becoz once they step inside Thai, Thais will jolly march inside Myanmar territory like current Cambodia affair.
They should have upgrade their strong hold. Everything is old. Even weapons. Should have well prepared, well trained. Also should attached Artillery brigade, Anti-Air Guns, mines, RPG, 80mm, .50guns, barb wires.
Portable SAMs,ATGMs,some armored vehicles, newer infantry weapons, and, short range portable cruise missiles capable of striking SPDC bases. And wealthy people should support so that professional people with extensive combat experience(such as PMCs) can help the Karen armed forces in defeating the spdc.
armored vehicles, such as scout, anti infantry, I think they're not effective in such like this place, mountain places or Jungle. The more effective is long-range artillery. Karen armed forces should form like real Army, now they're like just Rebel. Should use same uniform, assault rifles, jungle boots, modern tactics in Guerrilla Warfare. Also should find supporters. Yes well I am doing a history degree and I am interested in old weapons and the gun is quite distinctive if u look at the barrell u will see the holes that allow air to cool it. i noticed it at 00.25it is a very slender gun and good for on the go firing most modern MGS are based on it but it is the best. also after playin MOH & Call of Duty games u get to recognise these weapons.

If the KNLA are the bad guys then why are ther soooo many ethnic burmese and arakan in thier ranks? The SPDC bombs the villages with mortars for hours when they know very well that their are no KNLA troops their at all. I have seen this first hand. I have talked to women who have been raped simply because they were karen, not because they did anything to hurt the SPDC, junta, or whatever you call those raping pederasts.

Portable SAMs,ATGMs,some armored vehicles, newer infantry weapons, and, short range portable cruise missiles capable of striking SPDC bases. And wealthy people should support so that professional people with extensive combat experience(such as PMCs) can help the Karen armed forces in defeating the spdc.

armored vehicles, such as scout, anti infantry, I think they're not effective in such like this place, mountain places or Jungle. The more effective is long-range artillery. Karen armed forces should form like real Army, now they're like just Rebel. Should use same uniform, assault rifles, jungle boots, modern tactics in Guerrilla Warfare. Also should find supporters. The main problem is Karen(KNU)only use Karen language and they want to separate from Burma. But anyway Long Live Karen (KNU)!

U CAN SEE THE DETAILS @ 00.46 WHEN THE SOLDIER HOLD THE GUN VERTICALLY. iafter the war it was considered so good the reformed German Army kept it callin it MG1 it is now at Mg3. THE USA'S M60 is based on this gun it was often nickname Hitlers Buzzsaw coz of its high rate of fire.

I remember seeing this machine gun on the History Channel. They talked about the murderous rate of fire it had and the terror it instilled in Allied troops.
From a web site on the weapon: The MG42, called "Hitler's Buzz Saw", reputed to be the world's best machine gun, had an awesome rate of fire of 1200-1500 rpm, fired 7.92 x 57mm rounds. the MG42 firing was terrifying to Allied troops.

Yes well I am doing a history degree and I am interested in old weapons and the gun is quite distinctive if u look at the barrell u will see the holes that allow air to cool it. i noticed it at 00.25it is a very slender gun and good for on the go firing most modern MGS are based on it but it is the best. also after playin MOH & Call of Duty games u get to recognise these weapons.
