If you die, end up in a wheel-chair, or an amputee, then you can most definitely know for sure, that it was a Chinese one. Better yet, if you can buy it easily, then it's a Chinese one. My front left side was dented about 10 cm while the front of the Opel (Vauxhall) Corsa was deformed about 50 cm. The woman had numberless bruises and her car was moved ca. 7 meters backwards. - My airbags didnt even open... Corsa : Totally destroyed. Benz : Drove away
I am a policeman in Germany / Bavaria and in 2006 I was on duty and came to an accident where a Mercedes E-Class (W211) crashed into the back of a lorry without even breaking (the driver was 73 years old and fell asleep)! The E-Class was driving on cruise control at precisely 160 kph and hit the lorry (80 kph). - The whole structure of the car was TWISTED - but none of the persons inside (there were 4) were harmed! Mercedes for life. - And this can be understood 2 ways :-)
I was in a mercedes sel 300 on the highway when a ford supercar crashed into me at the back of the car, the ford flipped over and went over the highway and down into the mountain. The guy survived and when the car hit my car, it felt like nothing, the police said I would've been dead if I was in another car.
It is true, and i believe that Mercedes Benz cars are one of the safest of it's kind, My mom and dad was saved after their Mercedes Benz in 1993 or 1994 crashed when the tires explode , The car rolled over in the side of the highway running 110Kph it rolled over 3 times and there are 4 passengers and not even a severe injury occur during that accident so thanks Mercedes Benz for saving my parents i swear if it was other brand of car my parents are dead by now...
Luckily I never crashed mine but i would DIE literally. I teared up when I curbed a rim. It was a 96 SL500. Such a timeless car. Mercedes S Class is the pinnacle of luxury. Love. I'm so glad they ditched chrysler. What an anchor they were. They compromised their integrity!
@mcarthurwallace no offense but daimlers reign ruined chrysler. Sure they brought in design but they hurt chrysler quality wise. The deletion of plymouth also created problems when no entry level auto was available and chryslers luxury status dropped
Still the fact is you just cannot make Asians competent and safe drivers. They just plain suck and buy cars too big or powerful for their tiny frames.
