  • RIP kurt, nice cover tho :)

  • musicians pay tribute to other musicians all the time.. it's a wonderful thing and the reason so much great music survives! no need to hate, she comes in peace and love i'm sure. nirvana was incredible, obvs, but so is yuna and i always love when someone whose music is completely different can appreciate and show love for those that came before them, especially in another genre. go yuna girl! x

  • Really wow<3

  • Wow!!! love it!!!

  • Wow

  • Without an original song a cover wouldn't exist. I hate it when fans of a band, such as Nirvana, check out a cover, then complain about how it's not as good as the original. Step off it people! She sounds nothing like Kurt nor did she try to, she took the song & put her own spin on it. I'm sure if he was alive right now, he would much rather listen to this, than all of the imitator wannabes that try to replicate the song exactly & often sound like shit. I listened to it as a song. Not a cover.

  • @ToxicEyes1010 If you listen to it as a song, then you forget that it's really a cover and that Nirvana wrote the original. People have their own opinion mate, let them be, they see it as a shit comparison, so what? Who cares if it's an imitation? Kudos to the wannabes, can you play all the parts in a group?

But in all honesty though, I do kinda like this, but I'd still prefer to listen to the original than this.

  • @ChillToThisSong I believe you missed what I was trying to say. The fans I was referring to are the ones that Idolize the band. It doesn't matter who or how well the cover is. They have already decided before even listening that they weren't going to like the song and most of the time, those are the ones that make the comments like "This cover's shit."

  • i hope they dont end up ruining lithium

  • Kurt , where are you ?!

  • Stop comparing this to the Nirvana version. Yes, it is a cover, but the two sound completely different. Which one is "better" is completely opinion, nothing else.

  • @NexusHD31 If they want to compare it to something, it should be Tori Amos' "Smells Like Teen Spirit" both covers, both amazing. Compare covers to covers imo.

  • Oh wow, I didn't know this was a cover by Nirvana, until I actually listened to the words..wow. This is a nice cover :) But I like Nirvana's better.

  • lol canon dof abuse !!! beautiful rendition of the song though

  • I grew up loving Nirvana, and I promise Kurt would love this version of his song....beautiful, which is what he was :)

  • I love Nirvana, and think that no one can ever match the talent of Kurt. However, your cover came pretty damn close to it. It's such a chill version of the grunge song. I really enjoy it, and love your voice!

  • I didnt know Tony Jaa could sing like this or that he was a muslin

  • I'm sure kurt cobain would of liked this version better. He probably would of said that she originally made the song just to lower the appreciation it gave him.

  • I like this version better than the original. I like the ambient atmosphere it creates.

  • i really like this cover. can't really compare to the original cuz it's almost like this is a completely different song and feel

  • i dont like it.

  • Pretty intresting version, a little eery

  • Advertisements ruin my playlist for free...>>,

  • haunting & beautiful. oh my kids are very aware of nirvana

  • Advertisements make my playlist free! YAAAAY!

  • Advertisements ruin my playlist!! Argh!

  • Very different, not quite sure if it's something I like or not. She has a great voice, but I've heard better covers of Nirvana songs. Guess I'm not a big fan of the style.

  • I don't like it ---->IMO<---- don't get a stick up your ass just an opinion.

  • final fantasy x O_O!

  • @JSkelentonKey *looks around* where's Lulu?

  • i dread the thought that the new generation of kids will get to know this song and love it, but have no idea who nirvana is... =/

  • @cortiz93 i hope that doesn't happen..

  • @cortiz93 In all honesty, A pro wrestler used a re done version of SLTS and thats how I got into Nirvana.

  • @cortiz93 I like this version way better anyway. And I do know who Nirvana is.

  • @cortiz93 Damn Grandpa! Why you gotta hate on us new G's??

  • @cortiz93 -nirvana will not go down in vain.. Dave grohl Keeps it real. But it is a nice cover.. her voice brings a diff light to it, I dont disagree with you tho

  • @cortiz93 it's fine to love a song as it is. This is obviously a very different version than Nirvana's.

  • @cortiz93 Im a pretty new generation and I knew this was a nirvana song :)

  • Comment removed

  • @cortiz93 Don't worry everyone knows who nirvana is. But nobody will know anything if SOPA gets their way. I'm more worried about that.

  • @cortiz93 i know nirvana! :D my dad told me about the concert he went to in seattle.

  • @cortiz93 ya :(

  • it's never really a good idea to cover nirvana but she somehow did it, and she did it beautifully

  • Comment removed

  • This is better than the original.

  • @fallingfromjupiter ARE YOU OUTTA YOUR MIND yes you have to be to say a remixed song of NIRVANA's is not as good as the remix bet you also think teen spirit is just a song with no meaning, dang kids think they know everything about anything

  • @RatchetKazuya It's just a difference of opinion. Most people are just scared to say a cover of a classic song could be better than the original, and I'm not saying that's you, but it's true. It's not like this version is completely terrible, or anything. I personally think it makes the melody/hook a LOT more obvious and therefore catchy, and the instrumentals are a lot more tasteful. It just happens to cater to my tastes more than yours, I'm not crazy. Ps; it's not a remix.

  • reminds me a lot of Lykke Li

  • I love it.

  • nirvana <3

  • Saw The King of Limbs album in the beginning, I was like YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

  • Surprisingly not a bad cover.

  • i like her verison of the song. and i guess yuna finally quit y.r.p. and became a singer full time.

  • smoothe!

  • yo this a good rendition no question. I love all the extra instruments and how much calmer it is. It is just a tiny bit weird heard it sung that high.

  • It's a good rendition of the song. I actually like it when bands take other songs, cover them, but but their own style to it.

  • i was expecting to see yuna from final fantasy x. but i guess this is okay.

  • Wow this is really bad. Please lady don't ever cover a a singer like Kurt again. Stick to emo piano music.

  • @BMac7773 Um this is wonderful, she is putting emotion in her voice. If you dont like it dont listen to it

  • To all those who keep judging others i have something that i would like for you all to read. If you believe you can do a better job then do it and stop complaining and lets see if you sound better or worst and honestly im a big fan of Nirvana i have all their albums and all my band mates had been inspired by them and we can only say this is a really good cover far better from all the others i had seen girl keep it going Haters are going to Hate no matter what their pathetic life revolve on it

  • @XxYazooXxX To us judging...we're doing just that: judging. We're not saying that we can do a better job, we're just saying that she's not good. I know I couldn't do a better job and that's why I don't, and others know they can't either. Look at the judges on AGT. The only one remotely close to having a talent is Howie Mandel because he is (or was) a comedian. Sharon is only famous because of Ozzy, and quite frankly I have no idea why Pierce is on there. I guess every judging show needs a Brit.

  • @myspacesucks03 Sharon is actually a very funny, intelligent woman, although I think this would be obvious from her interviews. She doesn't need to be Ozzy's wife to be interesting or important.

  • @Grendel938 Agreed to the only point that she may have been interesting to some. But if she were to have never married Ozzy, she would be a nobody and no one outside her family and friends would no her; just like you and I...and there is no way you can deny that

  • this sounds kind of bjork...i said "kind"

  • I'm speechless to the fact that anyone would cover a Nirvana song.

Ever hear Tori Amos' version of "Smells Like Teen Spirit"?

    So disappointed...

  • @myspacesucks03 Isn't it an honor for nirvana (Dave and Krist) to know that so many people loved their music and want to cover it. Btw, copying is the highest form of flattery.

  • @TheUnltimateCrafters Ok Mr. Cliche, to most normal people copying is the highest form of annoyance. I, along with millions of others, hate it when people copy and look down on those who do. Copying others shows little creativity. It's flat out annoying, too. On a side note, look at all the remakes in Hollywood that are being made. It's ridiculous! Covering this song wasn't for her. Not exactly a terrible voice, but she shouldn't have done it. Some remakes are good, but not this, not at all.

  • @myspacesucks03 this was fine to me. i mean its different and according to all the comments, others would agree. don't hate.

  • @myspacesucks03 loser

  • She has a beautiful voice, dont get me wrong but..no..just no. You can't turn a classic into something like this. Yes Nirvana did covers but they never changed a thing about it. They sing it the way it was meant to be sung. As far as the people saying they are tired of the original being played on the radio..what do you think happens today? All you ever hear is the same song playing over again. And atleast back then music was good. This crap today is just not what it used to be. thats my opinion

  • @noellestarr228 You sound ridiculous. Why would someone cover a song to make it sound exactly the same? There's no reason. Yes, It's a classic, but this s beautiful. Every cover should be changed. It shows the artistic ability of the artist. When Nirvana did the Simon and Garfunkel cover of Mrs. Robinson, it sounded nothing like it, and yet no one complained. And fyi, every generation has terrible music.

  • This is a good cover very nice but as a Nirvana fan I dont think Kurt would be happy with them redoing his love an the one thing that made him do what he did.... good word wrong band

  • it wouldnt be that bad if it didnt sounded the same through the whole song

  • cum in your mouth

  • Such a beautiful cover, her style is so original.

  • as cute as she might be this song is a negative ghost rider.

  • fucking bitch singing kurts song, without permission of the four winds and kurts soul, wtf. you fail, no way in hell can u walk away with this shit

  • Yuna my dear, you are beautiful.

People who don't understand, COVERS ARE WHEN THE ARTISTS DO THEIR OWN REDITION OF THE SONG, they don't have to be anything like the original. Awesome Song.

  • OMG guys seriously? This is an amazing cover! She makes this Nirvana song her own! Nirvana's original and Yuna's Cover sound nothing alike but I think they're wonderful in their own ways!

  • She is talented. I just don't like it.

  • what the fuck is this shit.

  • just no.

  • @TheTaylorBarrett agreed

  • this is shit

  • OH MY GOD i love the singing but oh my god really its fine but i really really really prefer nirvana over over this not even playing the same thing

  • pretty good.:)

  • In just two days, tomorrow will be yesterday.

  • I like it :]

  • who the fuck yuna ? thats a nazi name

  • How the fuck can any Nirvana fan, including myself LIKE THIS?! It's horrible. She fucked up the SONG

  • @manhuntruler2 How? This is beautiful. And it's not like Nirvana never covered a song. Shut up. And that's coming from a huge Nirvana fan.

  • @Valaument Nirvana covered the song's where they didnt even change anything at all. They Respected the song and kept it on the Order the Original Artist placed it all.

But this random chick fucked over the song. If you actually like this then your back stabbing Nirvana and what they stood for, which was PUNK and GRUNGE.

This is a Nirvana song fucked over by a POP relating random person. Open ur eyes.

  • @manhuntruler2 Really? Actually, Nirvana was influenced by a lot of bands, not just punk rock and grunge, they were influenced by CCR, the Beatles and Black Sabbath as well and if I'm not mistaken, Kurt listened to practically all types of music and didn't limit himself to any specific genres. I'm pretty sure he'd like this if he was around to listen to it.

  • @manhuntruler2 wow. ur really stupid. nirvana covered 'mollys lips' by the vaselines. tell me that both versions sound the same....

who r u to speak for them?

  • @danielm119 The verse chorus Verse are in placed!

This cover is NOT. She mixes the Verses and doesnt even add the words needed to be added!

I speak for them because i am a Fan of Nirvana. Who are you to say i can not speak for them when your actually considering this FUCKED UP COVER GOOD?

  • @manhuntruler2 Yes, you are definitely the voice of Kurt Cobain and know what he would've thought of this cover. Like he NEVER wrote any poppy songs. before you reply, do some research please because I'm afraid you'll waist my time.

  • @danielm119 He wrote hit songs that were different. Not at all poppy, their were mixed with punk and rock style. Creating Grunge. You should do some research asshole. You have no idea who i am so you go assuming i dont know my info on a Subject. Especially when it comes to the band Nirvana.

  • @manhuntruler2 About A Girl? Come As You Are? Grunge is a mix of punk, metal, alternative. You're probably gonna say I'm wrong because you're a true grunge rocker!

  • @danielm119 Heavy Metal actually. And yes those are the mixers that make Grunge. But i still wouldn't those two songs "Pop songs." Since their not everyday lyrics and sounding pop songs ya know?

  • @manhuntruler2 'Come as You Are' and 'About a Girl' are probably two of their most melodical songs. I can't quite remember but I think Steve Albini said 'kurt came to me as said he had a song that he wanted to put on the record, which was about girl, but was afraid to put it on there because he thought his fans would start to disrespect him for writing a poppy song. as for Come As You Are, they were in the mainstream so u can't blame em.

  • @danielm119 Steve Albini? Didn't they record with him only for In Utero? And About A Girl is in the Bleach Album.

Come As You Are is also in Nevermind which was recorded by Butch Vig.

  • @manhuntruler2 My bad. I don't know why I said that. I know and I know. The songs weren't pop like this pop, but a pop thats just mainstream-sounding. thats one thing they introduced

  • @danielm119 It's all good :) Those songs rock either way.

  • @manhuntruler2 She put a spin on the song. So what? She has an amazing voice. She's just expressing her love for a band that greatly influenced her.

"Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery"

    -Kurt Cobain.

  • @Valaument That i can agree with.

  • FUCKING LOVE IT. IT'S ACTUALLY REALLY GOOD UNLIKE OTHER WHICH FUCKING SUCK.

  • 23 Seconds...King Of Limbs Radiohead case...WINNING!!!

  • kurt is trying to shoot himself agian in his grave

  • unique cover. good cruising song.

  • i like the song but then it started to bore me

  • Kurt Cobain is turning in his grave listening to this shit!

  • EMILIE SIMON does it just as good if not better, sexier. Truer to Cobain.

  • she kinda sounds like bjork but yeah this is an interesting twist on the song

  • WoW!! I normally do not dig on covers, but this is one of my very few exceptions..amazing job!!!!!

  • lol I came here thinking this was Yuna Ito and got really excited thinking she's giving up Jpop. And now I am disappoint. :(

  • Love her rendition of this song. :)

  • this song blows

  • The whole reason of a cover is to give it a unique twist, it's not supposed to sound like Kurt.

  • I fucking love Nirvana&this is a great rendition..!!! If you love MUSIC period from John Coltrane to Nina Simone to Metallica to Tiesto to Sublime To every corner of good music then you know this is GOOD MUSIC!!

  • @aflara301 Thank you for writing an amazing, sensible comment <3

  • i love the breakdown close to the end .

  • This isn't bad.. wish she made it more of her own.

  • @manmanguy i'm sure that if you were well aware of my situation you would'nt doubt my aqusation.

  • imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. enough said.

  • Better than the original. Bored with the original. Yep.

  • @TheCalmingPants your an idiot..... no way

  • @hfg23thewest Sorry I wasnt aware you could calculate my intelligence through text. I am just tired of hearing the same 3 nirvana songs on the radio since the 90's. This was an innovative and well done cover of the song and at this point in time I find it more appealing to listen to than the original.

  • This is sooooo wrong. You bought rights from that piece of shit Courtney Love who sold off 1/4 of the Nirvana soundtrack. I'm sorry, I like your rendition. But this corruption is inexcusable.

  • Awesome video. I'm wondering what kind of camera it was shot with.

  • cool cover.

  • This is awesome. People on here complaining she doesn't sound like Nirvana. Go listen to the original if that's you want but this is how a cover is supposed to be. An artist's original take on a classic. Check out Smashing Pumpkins' cover of Thin Lizzy's "Dancing in the Moonlight". Totally different view on the song. Or "All Along the Watchtower" by Dylan. Every version of that song is unique too.

  • your versions better<3

  • this is amazing...

    (///_^)

  • just terrible you will never match kurt cobain

  • same lyrics entirely entirely different song. not a big fan, but atleast she likes nirvana i guess

  • Absolutely love your version! Open your mind people to art and new styles of music, more than one way to sing a song. Have some respect and don't be rude.

  • transforming suicide rock to Peaceful Love music.. wow

  • Nothing will ever compare to the original with Kurt Cobain, but I can definitely feel this version. It's soft, and sweet. quite opposite from the original, actually. It's nice.

  • Hmm... This is different. I can apreciate both Nirvana's version and hers. I don't know why people talk shit, just shut up and enjoy the music, or just don't listen to it.

  • I hate stupid bitches that try to make other versions of an already good song she just made it like shit what a stupid ugly hoe

  • @mdfknkidd22 Nirvana did covers too ...

  • @ImSoVintage i dont give a fuck.

  • Am I the only one who thought this was from Final Fantasy?

  • Can't get enough!! Love it! Love you!

  • thats a badass monkey

  • man this version is awsome!!cant stopp listening to it yuna your such a great talent hun!!!!!

  • Nirvana sucks. This Yuna chick does not.

  • @overcastgabriel that's not the point.. covers are about different takes & viewpoints on the original. nobody that does a cover hardly ever tries to live up to it, or surpass it. they're just putting their own vibe into a great classic.

  • Who cares if she doesn't sound like Kurt? This is a beautiful cover of a good song.

  • @AguilaFenris I completely agree. It almost made me cry, to be honest.

  • In love ^.^ with this . . .

  • Like this if u got goosebumps from the sound of her voice

  • whoah.. that's all i have to say

  • this is sick

  • i thought this was going to be some shitty remake, its actually kind of cool and her voice is beautiful

  • this a disgrace to nirvana

  • @BuddahBurner420420 your a disgrace to Nirvana

  • Nirvana. Yuna.

    Wow.

    FINAL FANTASY!

  • fantastic a completely unique song for you yuna top knotch work making such a classic your own

  • 0:22

    KING OF LIMBS

  • @TheN0bleCause YUS.

  • So, I like Nirvana and have respect for Kurt, too. But I also just like good music. Sure, no one can beat Kurt, he's the legit original. But don't hate someone's cover just because of that. It's a cover, it's gonna be different. I like it.

  • Not Final Fantasy X? Damn! :P

  • Fuck this

  • nice song... everyone know that no one can beat Kurt we know that its cool but its cool to see people remembering him in their own way and keep his spirit alive in their music

  • Not bad. Definitely nowhere near Kurt's vocals, but it's different. I like it.

  • i like her cover

  • Disgraceful
