I remember one time, when this battle started, the bald guy that protects martin just went crazy and started fighting the guards and martin and tried to kill me, is this normal?
this battle pissed me off. i thought it was gonna be a huge battle like 100 on each side maybe even 50 but when i got there and theres like 10 people, like wow, thats ur army. well where screwed against the supposedly giant army of oblivion, but then comes 12 creatures through the oblivion gate...... like wow this is gay, i expected alot more then this. i could own all of u guys. so i walked through the gate and saw the giant craling worm thing.
@SCREAMORANGEJUICE Okay. if you have the PC version it's possible, otherwise you can't.
Press the tilde key (the key to the left of one, and above tab)
Click on the soldier you want to copy, and type in "createfullactorcopy", or if you want to create a copy of yourself (who will fight for the guards) then do player.createfullactorcopy. But note that if a copy of YOU hits a guard by accident, the guards may attack him. They won't hit back at other guards.
The reason why there ain't so many soldiers participating in the battle is because Bethesda wanted it possible for people with low-end computers to be able to play the game as well. As you probably know, large battles in Oblivion tend to lag incredibly at old computers:)
I've been thinking of making a mod that adds more people, but haven't done so yet.
It's pretty weird - at my battle of bruma you'd get just like Baurus running off and getting killed by a Spider Daedra, and no one helped him then ALL the guys ran up and murdered a random scamp! WTF?
is this the most people you can get to fight in the war? seems like he overdid it with his speech... i know for a fact that the imperial city could help and send about 50 more men. and five more from others. also, if you completed a guild questline, they should send a soldier from that guild to fight as well. (also, there cant be a HUGE number of people because the game can't process the amount of attack commands at once)
still for an army that is sad for tamriel what 20 guys in the next oblivion they need a fight at the end with like over 2000 npcs now that is what i call a war

mmm also this battle of bruma is modded the dudes in leather armour is modded. u really only get 2 or 3 soilders from each city in cyrodill but u can also presuade members from fights guild to get them to strengthen the garrsion hence forth more people. barus and jauffre are expandable they can die same as martin myself not quite satisfied if there dead or burd is dead
no no no no no lol on pc u can do mods how ever consol u cant really do mods, i have the game myself and enjoy playing it for something so big for a 1 player rpg oblivion is prehaps the most rpg to actully have skill involved unlick WoW and other rpgs armour and level make a diffrence from skill. i reccomend u get it for a consol unless ud want to do mods where u can like get unsual armour and stuff
u cant do mods on xbox 360 u can do a few mods on ps3 but the real daddy is pc on mods. i got xbox 360 oblivion and i love the game just how it is without mods.
not nesscary in many quests thoughtout oblivion requires A.I team work. such as this 1 i mean think about it, the quest breaking the sige of kvacth requires A.I teamwork
