@macluca1 One could work it out only by knowing the location. In any case, it's during the summer. Probably June-July if it is in Northern hemisphere and December-January if it's in Antarctica.
@Imantos The guy who did that shot is called Warren Sloss, a camera man for the BBC's Natural History Unit... This shot was used in the series 'Planet Earth'.

radulica 8 months ago
@radulica I think it's in northern Canada, but you could experience this in many places within the arctic or antarctic circle.

@JMPhillips99 That's right. As a matter of fact, how could it be wrong.

Question. If you're 20 miles south of the artic circle facing north. Do you see a daylight sky 20 miles away but it being dark directly above you?
res340 1 year ago
@res340 I guess it looks like an evening sky just after sunset. I'm sure some of the brightest stars can be seen.

It's a fake, this video has been taken in a single day and images have been colorized
As you can see, at 0'27s 0'51s and 1'15s the cloud shape is exactly the same, compare by yourself

I wonder how hard making a camping trip to this spot would be.

Yeah, choosing the right flight, the right car, the right footwear, the right outfit and the right food, and, above everything, the right season :)
