I love my rottie, and I protect it, and I don't want it to fight. In fact if a dog attacks my dog, it will have to deal with me, I'm the leader of my pack. Just pull your own dog back, step forth and kick the attacking dog hard, and make a loud noise. Most sane dogs will run away, when facing a human. N.B. This won't work with 'insanitywolf' lol.

All Rott lovers should check into the Good Dog Carl Books and how a mom goes grocery shopping and leaves the rottie to care for her baby. There's like six different books about the activities between Carl and the baby. The books pretty much point out what a loyal and devoted family dog the rott is and will go to any length to protect or save it;s master from harm. They're also used in nursing homes as therapy dogs. As with any dog, they have to be socialized from the start.

i had a rott but i got shot after my dad passed nd when my nd my famil moved to north dakota nd my grandpa woudnt take care of it he let it run around outside nd it ran out to some farm nd got shot by the owner of the farm

i thot pitbulls are tougher? cuz wen dey bite u,derz no letin go....i hav a pit/black lab/dalmation/retriever i <3 him 2 death! hez pretty strong,he got hit by a car 3 timez. it sux cuz dey wer all hit & runz and NO broken bonez or anything. just internal bleeding. but hez fine now :)

Any dog can kill a human. Its not that hard to get a mouth around someone's neck. Anyway I don't see the point in wanting a dog to kill a person. Dobermanns were bred for protection and guarding, Rottweilers were originally bred for herding.

The Rott may be the better biter which is totally unnecessary but the Dobe would of course be the better alert dog. I love dogs of all kinds and have nothing against anyone of them. I didn't say bad about the Rottweiler.

dobermans r high energy dogs and they usually tend to be one-man dogs. if this is yr thing then they're great dogs. i'd still favor a rotti any time because they're not high energy and they're family dogs.
