I find it amusing how you say creationists aren't willing to discuss the truth. First of all, the Truth was written long before you were ever born, but I highly doubt you're willing to discuss that. Secondly, creationists have nothing to prove. We are comfortable where we are in our faith, it's evolutionists who are scrambling frantically to prove their views, and they still can't shake the foundations of our faith, but every testimony of Jesus Christ seems to rattle them to their very core.
Can you show me an example of how a "sponge" turned (evolved) into a "worm" and then into a "fish"...even in the fossil record? We have evidence and examples of all these species in the fossil record but not intermediate species. We have examples going all the way back to the Cambrian..but NO examples of the intermediates. Same thing with the so called "homo" (how appropriate) genus. Lots of bones but no real tangible proof. The "piltdown man" debacle shows that greed and fame have a tendancy2li
I agree with this vid...sonofgod did that last month. Posted a vid of him riding on his bike (as always) misquoting hitchens and saying how he lost a debate with a creationist. All comments (a wopping 40! doubt there have really been that little) were in favour of his vid and agreeing with him. All comments had to be approved and rating was disabled.
Seriously, youtube needs to make it impossible to disable rating and approve comments. It only allows for bullshit like this.
I like how you can fit any other religion or fairy tale into the argument below and still get the same result. The logical fallacies here are staggering. I had to wear my extra long rubber boots to wade through this stuff.
I see your point but the bible has over 2000 fulfilled prophecies and a 100% accurate track record so far.It's a good bet that it will continue with a 100 % accuracy rate into the future as well. You can not show me one instance of where God has lied to us anywhere in the bible. Its no fairy tale trust me - but Satan wants people to think it is a fairy tale. The combination of moral corruption, unbeleif, and pride has destroyed billions of people in the past. God does not lie - but satan does
Actually most so-called bible "prophecies" are manufactured rubbish. Most of the rest are misinterpretations of OT verses, and the remainder were never actually fulfilled. As for 100% accuracy, you must be fucking joking. Remind me again, what year was Jesus born?
@voiceoftruth2006 Asking what year Jesus was born is ridiculous considering there is an estimated record of His birth, and that record is so accurate that even today we count our lives, seconds, minutes, weeks, months, days, and years according to His birth. As for the prophesies of the OT, they were all fulfilled, every last one of them. If that's the best you can come up with, you may as well give up in your quest to discredit the Bible, you're only embarrassing yourself.
@voiceoftruth2006 Well, your comment, and the fact you had to resort to using foul language, shows just how ignorant and incapable you are of debating the Bible. First of all, I never said we know the exact second, but we do have a general idea, and our system of keeping and tracking time is based on Jesus' birth. It's funny how stupid you actually are, yet you have the nerve to call someone else a moron. Thanks for the laugh, retard.
No you don't. Nobody has any clue what YEAR Jesus was even born, and there are a lot of biblical contradictions involved in trying to work it out. As for our system being based on his birth, only the number of the years is; our system of time has nothing whatsoever to do with it. The days of the week, in case you're interested, are named after the Norse gods. Have a happy Odin's Day.
@voiceoftruth2006 Apparently you haven't read the book of Genesis which says God created the Heavens and the Earth in six days and rested on the seventh. Ever since the beginning of creation, we have had a seven day week. Why is it so hard for you to understand this? As for Jesus' birth, yes historians have a very good approximation of his birth.
Of course I've read Genesis. Did it ever occur to you that we have a seven day week BECAUSE of that particular myth? Of course it's more likely that we have it because there are seven "planets" (including the sun and moon) visible to the naked eye, but never mind: other cultures have used - and some still do - weeks with anywhere between 3 and 10 days. Ancient Egypt - which rpedates Genesis by centuries - used a 10-day week.
@voiceoftruth2006 As far as the names of the days, Romans ruled the known world for over 4 centuries, and they had a lot of influence on other cultures during that time. To know the original days of the week, you would have to research the Aramaic (Hebrew) language and see what names they had for them. And this still has nothing to do with the fact our years and weeks are based on the Bible.
Our year is based on how long it takes Earth to orbit the Sun once, you idiot. As for the original names of the days of the week, why do I care what the bible says? I'm not a dune coon, so I don't give a fuck what the Hebrew names are.
@voiceoftruth2006 Are you so desperate that you have to resort to trick questions? Alexander the Great destroyed Tyrus as it was called back then. You are referring to Ezekiel 26:7 where God says He will bring Nebuchadnezzar against Tyrus. However, you are leaving out Ezekiel 26:3 where God says He will bring many nations against Tyrus. Nebuchadnezzar only began the destruction of Tyrus, Alexander the Great finished it.
@voiceoftruth2006 I also know you are trying to be sneaky about Tyre being mentioned in the New Testament even though God said He would make Tyrus desolate and covered with water. This is easy, and shame on you for being so pathetic. Tyrus was originally an island. After Alexander the Great destroyed it, he used its stones to build the new Tyre which is located inland. You're pathetic to try such dishonorable tactics.
Actually you're talking bollocks. Ancient Tyre consisted of the island AND a city on the mainland. Nebuchadnezzar didn't conquer it. Alexander CAPTURED it and, despite what that old fool Ezekiel said, it still exists today.
@voiceoftruth2006 No, I was talking Tyrus, which was an island that is no longer in existence. After Alexander conquered it, he used the stones to build the new Tyre, which is now called Lebanon. You are not only ignorant of the Bible, but you are also ignorant of general history. There is no reason for us to continue talking. You are ignorant of the truth and reject it when you hear it. Take your hypocrisy somewhere else.
The prophecy was about TYRE, which is still very much in existence, although of course it isn't called Lebanon; it's called Tyre or Sur. The modern city takes in most of the island as well as Alexander's causeway and part of the mainland. You quite simply don't know what you're talking about. Well, either that or you're lying...
@voiceoftruth2006 Your comment shows just how ignorant you are, not only of the Bible, but of history itself. Tyrus, as it is mentioned in the Bible, was an island located on the mainland. That island, as God said, is now underwater and no longer habitable. It doesn't take a genius to understand this, all it takes is a little common sense and a small amount of world history knowledge.
@voiceoftruth2006 Yes it is, dude. All you have to do is research the island or actually study any amount of history at all. Heck, you can even look at a modern map of the Mediterranean Sean and see where there is no island off the coast of Lebanon (Tyre).
You fail again. The island is still there, but it's now joined to the mainland by Alexander's causeway, which has silted up and become a wide land bridge. The old city of Tyre is NOT underwater. In fact it's a UNESCO world heritage site and thousands of tourists go there every year. You are quite simply wrong.
@voiceoftruth2006 Dude, you need to look at a map of Lebanon and the Mediterranean Sea, and, you need to do some actual research. In fact, just read about Alexander the Great and you will learn all you need to know about Tyrus. The island is NOT there. Get over it, dude. The Bible is correct on what happened to Tyrus. Your ignorant ramblings only make you look like an idiot.
The island most definitely IS there. You can see it on Google Earth and everything. It just isn't an island any more, and if you'd bothered to read anything about Alexander the Great yourself you'd know that's because he built a causeway out to it.
@voiceoftruth2006 Your causeway argument is weak. He only built the causeway so he would have access to the island. The island itself is no longer there. The only island in the Mediterranean Sea anywhere near Lebanon is Cyprus. The Bible is accurate. We are done here, you are fighting a losing argument since the island no longer exists.
Yes, he built the causeway so he could get access to the island. The causeway is still there. And what's at the end of it? The ISLAND, which is ALSO still there.
@voiceoftruth2006 Okay dude, I'm explaining this to you for the last time. The island is covered by water. If you don't believe me, just go to Google Maps and view the Mediterranean Sea where Lebanon is. Also, if you want more proof, just research the history of Tyre, especially the part where Alexander the Great destroyed it.
That's what I'm trying to explain to YOU: the island isn't covered by water. It's just connected to the mainland now. It's part of the city of Tyre, including the old part, which is a UNESCO site. The island is still there, just as it was when Alexander was there. It has not sunk. If you go to Google Earth you'll find photos taken on it.
Lebanon is a country, by the way: you gve shit directions.
@voiceoftruth2006 Of course Lebanon is a country, retard. When did I ever say it wasn't? In fact, I mentioned that Lebanon used to be called Tyre, but it was the new Tyre, the old Tyre (Tyrus) doesn't exists anymore. My directions were just fine. I can't help it you are too stupid to follow them. Tyrus was destroyed just as God said it would be. God whine and cry about how wrong you are to someone else. Tyrus doesn't exist anymore, get over it.
@voiceoftruth2006 I am either ignorant or dishonest? That statement tells me you aren't 100% certain of your argument that Tyre wasn't destroyed. The truth is, Old Tyre was destroyed and no longer exists. Instead of just babbling nonsense, do some actual research on the subject.
Actually I AM 100% certain of my arguments, and I'm equally certain that you are talking complete shit. The island that held the old city of Tyre is still there; it is not under water, as you claimed. Parts of the Roman and modern cities of Tyre are on it, negating the prophecy that it would never be rebuilt. I've done PLENTY of research on the subject. You, however, clearly have not.
@voiceoftruth2006 Dude, it doesn't take a genius to go to Google Maps, type in Mediterranean Sea, look at the area next to Lebanon, and see that the island is NOT there. The prophecy of Ezekiel came to pass just as the Bible says it did. Anyone with a lick of common sense can see that. Are you really THAT stupid? Seriously?
The island is there. Its centre point is at approximately 33deg 16' 17" N, 35deg 11' 45" E. Go and fucking check. And yes, I know, it isn't an island any more. See that area of land to the east of the location I gave you? That's Alexander's old causeway.
Now, if you're claiming there was ANOTHER island, one that is now underwater, give me its coordinates and I will check the sea depths on and around those coordinates. Then we'll see who's full of shit here.
@voiceoftruth2006 I already have checked, and there is clearly no island off the coast of Lebanon. You should really give up your argument. Ezekiel's prophecy came to pass just as the Bible says it did. You may as well accept it, there is nothing you can say that will change what happened over 2,000 years ago.
Go to the coordinates I gave you. That's the site of old Tyre. The strip of land between it and the mainland is Alexander's causeway and the tidally driven sediment that's accumulated against it. That's a fact and you can't argue with it.
If you're claiming that there was ANOTHER island, which has now disappeared, give me its exact coordinates so I can check the seafloor depth data. If you're unable to give your claims even that much support, shut the fuck up.
@voiceoftruth2006 Hey, look at the big boy who can cuss, what a tough guy he is. This is the last time I am speaking to you, because I have already told you, and proven to you, that the Bible is correct on the destruction of Tyre (Tyrus). Even historians and archeologists have talked about the destruction of Tyre. You are the only person on earth that I know of who refuses to accept Tyre was destroyed. Get over yourself. You're wrong, Tyre was destroyed like the Bible says.
The bible says Tyre would be destroyed and NEVER REBUILT. It's been rebuilt. Show me an ancient city that HASN'T been destroyed at least once; destruction and rebuilding is no big deal.
I note that you can't tell me where this mythical disappeared island was. So shut the fuck up with your lies.
@voiceoftruth2006 Tyre has not been rebuilt. I am done arguing this fact with you. I have already told you time and time again where Tyrus was located. Keep on getting mad and cussing, it just shows your point is false because you are too proud to admit the Bible is correct. Don't talk to me anymore. All you have to do is research Tyre and you will read for yourself the history of it.
@voiceoftruth2006 Aww, are you getting mad again? If you really went to Google Earth, you would see that the old island of Tyrus is not there. It was located approximately 1/2 mile from the coast of what is now known as Lebanon. If you go to Google Earth, you can clearly see there no island, and especially no fortress that stands there today. Talk about someone being an imbecile, go look in the mirror. We're done here.
I already gave you the exact map coordinates of the island. Guess what? It's right there, where I said it is. I also asked that, if you're claiming there was once ANOTHER island, you give me ITS coordinates so I can check seafloor depths. You have failed to do so. Why is that, exactly?
@voiceoftruth2006 Of course Tyre exists, it's now known as Lebanon. The old city of Tyrus, which was a fortress, is now a wasteland that is just as the Bible says, the top of a rock. Ezekiel's prophecy happened, and all the anger and foul language you can muster won't change that.
@voiceoftruth2006 I have checked my facts, moron, and Ezekiel's prophecy came to pass as God said it would. The Bible is right and you are wrong. Get over yourself. Go ahead and get mad all you want, it won't change the fact that you're wrong.
@voiceoftruth2006 It wasn't rebuilt. You show me the towers and the fortress, show me the great walls of the old Tyre. You can't, because they no longer exist. They were laid to waste as the Bible says.
Look on Google Earth at the coordinates I gave you, you fucking twat. That's the city of Tyre you'll see. Did they rebuild it as an exact replica of how it was before? No, but then again why should they?
Tyre was rebuilt. Ezekiel was wrong. Now, last warning: stop lying or fuck off.
@voiceoftruth2006 Lol, you must live on YouTube or something. Anyone with a lick of common sense can see that the old city of Tyre is not even a shadow of its former glory, just like God said. It doesn't take a genius to see that one.
It was still rebuilt. It's currently the fourth largest city in Lebanon. The population is about 117,000. I'd be very surprised if it was anywhere near that at the time of Nebuchadnezzar's FAILED siege.
@voiceoftruth2006 The old city of Tyre was never rebuilt. Alexander the Great moved the city to the mainland where it exists today. The old city (Tyrus) was destroyed just as God said it would be.
@voiceoftruth2006 It means nothing, considering the old city of Tyre (Tyrus) was destroyed just as God said it would be. Everything God said would happen did happen. Tyre was destroyed, it's walls were torn down, it was made like the top of a rock, it was never rebuilt, and it became a place where people casts fishing nets. It doesn't take a genius to understand this.
@voiceoftruth2006 Hey retard, I never said it was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar. In fact, I mentioned it was destroyed by Alexander the Great. However, the proof is there that the prophecy of Ezekiel came to pass. Also, the Bible doesn't mention that Nebuchadnezzar will destroy Tyrus either. Everything the Bible says would happen did happen, and there are plenty of non-biblical references to prove that as well. Get over it, the Bible is right and you are wrong.
@voiceoftruth2006 You need to read the entire passage, moron. God says he will send many nations against Tyrus. Nebuchadnezzar was only the first to attack, and Alexander the Great completed Ezekiel's prophecy. The Bible is still right, and you are still wrong.
@voiceoftruth2006 Tyrus wasn't rebuilt. If it was, then the fortress would be standing today. As it is clearly NOT standing today, then Tyrus wasn't rebuilt. It doesn't take a genius to understand this.
@voiceoftruth2006 Roman ruins are irrelevant to the fact that the fortress was never rebuilt. Seriously dude, are you really THIS ignorant? Can you not understand that Tyrus was destroyed by Alexander the Great and the fortress was never rebuilt just like the Bible says? What part of that can you not understand?
The prophecy is about the CITY, you dong. In any case the Romans built a fortress there too. Its ruins are a popular tourist attraction. So either way you're wrong.
@voiceoftruth2006 Yet again you give a public display of your ignorance of general history. If you knew anything about Tyrus, then you would know Alexander the Great relocated the city from the island to the mainland. So, as I mentioned before, the Bible is right and you are still wrong. You will always be wrong because there is nothing you can say that will ever change what happened in history.
You're wrong AGAIN. Most of the Roman ruins are on the island. Check your facts before you comment here again.
The next blatantly untrue statement you make is going to get you banned for a couple of days. I hate banning people and I think I've been very tolerant of you, but your lies/ignorance are starting to get irritating. Both the island and mainland parts of Tyre have been continuously inhabited, without breaks, since Nebuchadnezzar's failed siege.
@voiceoftruth2006 The next blatantly untrue statement? I have yet to make an untrue statement. What's wrong, can't handle being wrong so you have to get a poopy diaper or something? You need me to make you a bottle? Sing you a lullaby? Anyway, get as mad as you want, it won't change history. Ezekiel's prophecy came true whether you want to accept it or not.
Actually you have made numerous untrue statements about Tyre. Ezekiel, in contrast, only made two; he said Nebuchadnezzar would destroy it and it would never be rebuilt. He didn't and it was. The prophecy failed and so do you.
@voiceoftruth2006 I've been reading your comments both of you have been sending back and forth. About the destroyed city being rebuilt and all that. Is that "prophecy" really saying that absolutely no one could live there. If i wanted to move right now and build a house on that spot is it saying i can't? Do you honestly think that it means every person in the world is forbidden to live there and build. It is not saying that. Maybe that helps you understand it.
Well no; it's saying the city would be destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar (it wasn't) and never rebuilt (it was.)
Given the state of modern politics (especially in the Middle East) and the power of modern weapons, it is EXTREMELY dangerous when people insist on believing these so-called "prophecies." Think about it: these prophecies demand several wars. Are these wars more or less likely to happen when so many people are apparently eagerly waiting for them?
@voiceoftruth2006 Ezekiel 26:3-5 3 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Tyrus, and will cause many nations to come up against thee, as the sea causeth his waves to come up. 4 And they shall destroy the walls of Tyrus, and break down her towers: I will also scrape her dust from her, and make her like the top of a rock.
@voiceoftruth2006 5 It shall be a place for the spreading of nets in the midst of the sea: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD: and it shall become a spoil to the nations. As you can see, the Bible clearly states what happened to the old city of Tyre. Now, point out to me where the towers are. Point out to me the fortress or where the place is in inhabited. You can't, because it is a wasteland and like the top of a rock just like God said it would be.
@fernieboy100 I can tell you right now that you haven't read the bible. Your "Holy Bible" is a translation of a translation of a translation of an interpretation of a hearsay story about a man that ran around performing magic tricks in an age of ignorance and blindness. I'm shocked and disgusted that it has thrived rather than died, like it should have, in the face of FACT and REASON.
@PissOffRoth Human logic and reason is faulty as can be - thats why you dont understand the bible - you try to apply human intellect to it but its spiritually discerned. The message is unappealing to the proud & rebellious which is exactly the way it is meant to be, the meek will inherit the earth - not the proud and rebellious. Jesus said he came not to bring peace to the world but rather division - when people hear the message - they either receive it or reject it - so a division takes place
@PissOffRoth Satan does in fact exist - but he is a spirit - we cannot see spirits but we can see their influence in our world today. Just because you can't see radio waves or oxygen or wind does not mean those things do not exist. You see the effect of those things and that is evidence of them - its the same thing. Jesus talked openly about Satan & Jesus never lied - he cast demons out of people and even today demon possesion does happen. Satan does not want you to think he exists- but he does
i think you meant battle not bottle in your title lol. When evidence is given it is just explained away by the atheists because they simply do not want the bible to be true- so arguing endlessly with someone who has already made up their mind is a waste of time. In romans 1:20 it says that the evidence of God is in the things he has made so that the ones who say there is no god are without excuse. Its easy to see what God has created - saying he does not exist is actually ridiculous lol
@voiceoftruth2006 So your conclusion is that God does not exist ? lol - now if it ends up being true that God really is there and the bible really is true - where dooes that leave you if that was the case ?
If it ends up being true that the Valkyries take the souls of dead soldiers to Valhalla and everyone else gets to be our slaves, where does that leave YOU?
Your superstition has no privileged frame of reference. It's just one more superstition among thousands. I might as well worry myself about what happens if the mLimo spirit goddess really is there and the oral legends of the Sindebele tribe are true.
@voiceoftruth2006 and your point singularity exist? again don't tell me that you did not said that! you said or shall i say, you shout it out loud that it exist!!! and with the support of freerangepancake! now, do you deny it? or else, if yes, i will call you a fucking useless multi-celled organism!!! did any fucking atheist physicist can explain point singularity?
Just had to say I loved the video! Could not have put it better myself, I take it you are a Geologist due to many of your arguments being about rocks and fossils? Sorry I cannot comment about your arguments as my expertise lies in physics and chemistry but many responses I have gotten seem to be similarly stupid as the ones you have recieved. I myself think there should be a law against creationist christians reproducing as I think they hold the human race back..... just a thought!
Their views aren't supported by a shred of evidence and they clearly admit it. Their effort is to launch a smear campaign against evolution fueled by means of ad hominem, outdated and recycled conspiracy theories, and shock value effect aided by fabricated statistics and big numbers.
"My opinion is that intelligent design is not science, and therefore it cannot be construed as a scientific theory in any sense whatsoever." - Prof Ken Miller
I challenge YOU to show any proof of The Big Bang, or Evolution. The truth is you cant, you MUST rely on books from other people to make your argument. So if we were to both put down our books, we would both be using FAITH. Any Christian will tell you that we live by faith, but you guys think you have facts. You call it "documentation" but that is exactly what the Bible is too. So, the only difference is what you accept as true, by FAITH.
Did you do the experiment yourself, NO. someone else did, therefore it is by faith in the person that did it, RIGHT, yes. The truth is you have no evidence. NONE
"it is by faith in the person that did it, RIGHT"
WRONG.
One of the key things about scientific papers is that they describe exactly how the experiments were conducted. So I don't need faith in the experimenter; I can check how he arrived at his results, compare them with the results of similar experiments by other scientists or even attempt to replicate them myself. Faith is not required, and in fact is explicitly rejected by the scientific method.
Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Whenever they look into space or into a microscope they are looking at things that have a certain order to them. Instead of giving credit to God the creator, they try to use their futile intelligence to "figure out" where it came from. That is the essence of science, people rejecting God and assuming there has to be another way.
You mean instead of stifling their curiosity and being happy with the despicable intellectual laziness of "goddidit." What sort of fool is actually HAPPY with not trying to understand?
"assuming there has to be another way"
It's amazing how often science FINDS those other ways, isn't it?
By the way, I regard scripture quotes without explanatory comment as spam. Don't do it.
You cannot ever understand completely the creation or the things created. They will always elude you. True "understanding" is in Christ alone, your trying so hard to understand the physical things of the world, but the real understanding is in the spiritual things of this world.
No, not give up, put the same effort you use to research physical things into researching spiritual things. Although the research may be conducted differently, the reward of the effort is better.
Mat 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Mat 7:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
"the reward of the effort is better (for spiritual rather than physical research.)"
I have spent over 16 years supporting aid projects in developing countries. What will give more rewarding results for a child dying of cholera - prayer, or looking through a microscope? I seem to recall that Alexander Fleming discovered atibiotics by physical, rather than spiritual, research.
This may sound like nonsense to you, but when you start to understand that there is an enemy of your soul, and that we are in a spiritual war in our mind, you will begin to see the whole world in a different light. you will see people differently, you will see religeon differently (although not much due to the corruption within it). You will find yourself wanting to engage in a battle for your own spiritual peace.
Come on you dont even see that the life in you is a seperate entity from your physical body. Its like a car, Without a battery in it it has no life at all, your soul is like the battery, when you die your soul leaves your physical body. If you wreck your car the battery is still good.
"If you wreck your car the battery is still good."
An interesting analogy. The battery can be taken out and installed in another car; can the soul be removed from a corpse and installed in a new body? A severe enough impact in the right place can crush a car's battery. What part of the body contains the soul, and will a bullet through that part destroy the soul?
You can feel it, the life you feel. Did you ever wonder what it was like to be in someone elses shoes (so to speak), or to live someone elses life. You cannot put yourself their because everyone has their own soul, you cant transfer one soul to another. You cant possibly feel what others are feeling. you can only feel your life. (If too vague ill try to explain, but its hard)
Like I said, You feel the life in you. It is easy to think that your physical body is the life, because when people get injured the life leaves, but if you live in a house that gets old and falls apart, you move out. the life leaves the body when it dies.
How do you KNOW that? Do you have any actual evidence that the "life" is a separate entity that leaves the body on death, rather than a process operating within the body which ceases when the body can no longer support it?
There are many accounts of people who had near death experiences and saw themselves lying on a hospital bed, or saw a light, or had conversations with angels. Though some will write it off as their mind playing tricks on them, or whatever. These things happen and cannot be overlooked as nonsense, just because science may not be able to explain them, we cant just ignore it.
Yes - in someone's head. They are HALLUCINATIONS. I'm not for a minute saying they're nonsense and neither is any scientist I know of. However they're not evidence of anything.
This is a logical fallacy called "begging the question." Before you can characterise something as spiritually significant you have to show that there is a spiritual realm separate from the physical one. So far, nobody has.
OK, I watched the video you sent me, which appears to start off with a guy in a shiny dish-dash dancing with the assistant school librarian. Later, her chubby friend and a few other people join them.
The video was to show the example of the spiritual realm. what we sometimes consider to be behavior is usually demonic influence that leads to the behavioral change, but Jesus can free us from the bondage of those influences.
and that peace is found in Christ alone. So as good as science is, and as beneficial as it is, search out the things of God so that you know for yourself the whole truth. What do you have to lose, NOTHING.
Time I could spend doing something productive, that's what.
Look, I used to be a christian. I used to believe in the "things of god." I don't intend to waste any more time believing in gods unless someone can show me evidence that they actually exist. And I mean EVIDENCE, not old myths.
That is my point, the only one that can show you is God. The church cant, religion cant. Only a one on one with God can change the way you percieve Him. When it happens, and you really meet God, you will not be able to turn away from him, so the fact that you did tells me that you havnt had the encounter with him that you need to get your proof.
Yes, that would make me believe. However, a conversation inside my head isn't a meeting.
Have YOU met god? If so, did anyone get a photo? Where did you meet him? What does he look like? Does he speak English perfectly, or with a Middle Eastern accent?
HAHAHAHA, thats good. No, when it happens you will see that it was not a "conversation in your head", you will not be able to describe it, or explain it, the only thing you will be able to say is that it was GOD. It is........I cant explain what it was like I just knew, i knew it was God. It was like being with someone you always knew, but didnt know.
No, it was something that happened.......around me. Although I couldnt see Him, I could feel His presence, and I could hear Him (like a thought, but not my voice). And (since I was driving at the time) His spirit filled me and I was watching myself drive the car, but was only focused on the voice I heard. Like I said it is hard to explain, but that is pretty close to accurate.
OK, I appreciate that it's hard to describe. However I need to point out that your perception of what's around you is, in fact, a model generated inside your brain. Unless others present felt or, much better, somehow recorded the presence, I have no reason to believe it wasn't a hallucination. I'm not questioning your integrity, just your interpretation.
Well, i was alone. But here is what sold me on the whole halucination thing; when this happened I had just left a buddies house drinking rum and cokes, and smoking some really good weed. after this happened, I was straight sober, more sober than i have been in a few years, and I never wanted weed again. I never had the desire to smoke again, and that is something that can be witnessed to by my wife.
Oh, and all my "get high buddies". From that point on I couldnt deny Christ, and he has changed my whole life around. Now I am a pastor, and let me tell you, when i think of pastor I definitely did not think ME.
Yes, but the fact remains that this issomething which cannot be attested to by anyone except yourself. I am happy to accept that you had an experience that made you change your lifestyle, but I have no reason to think it wasn't entirely inside your head.
Out of interest, did it occur to you that your consumption of mind-altering substances just before this experience might have had something to do with it?
That wouldnt constitute the change. This wasnt my first time getting high or drunk, and I certainly wasnt that impaired. Look, There is a realm of reality that we cannot see or gain evidence from, but we can sense and feel. I can only point the way, you have to walk it, and seek it for yourself, im sorry I cannot give you anything concrete, but thats what Faith is, the substance of things not seen.
OK, I have deleted one of your comments. As I already said, scripture quotes without any explanatory comment are not welcome here. I have no intention of censoring your views, but no spam please.
Anyway, faith is "the substance of things not seen." I want no part of that. I am perfectly willing to believe in a god or gods (although depending on their nature I may choose not to worship them regardless) but faith just isn't good enough.
That scripture was relevent to the comment before it, anyway, If you find a god that by its "nature" is provable, you have not found any God at all. Dont you think that as a God they should be able to elude you if they wanted you to seek them with faith. I mean, how much power does God have if we can find him through a microscope or a telescope?
OK, it was lik,e meeting a person like Michael Jackson, he was always a part of your life so you feel like you know him, and then when you meet him, it was like you always knew him.
Btw, I agree with all your Ken Miller quotes. As I have already said this, I'm begining to feel as if you're not listening at all to me. If that's the case, just say so and stop wasting my, and your, time.
I'm listening to you, in horrified fascination. Ken Miller a creationist? That's one of the dumbest fucking things I've ever heard. Is Richard Dawkins a creationist too? Eugenie Scott?
I don't give a shit how weary you're getting. The only way you can class Miller as a cretard is to distort the term past the point of meaninglessness. He has said publicly and repeatedly that CREATIONISM IS PSEUDOSCIENCE. He hates it as much as I do and his words show that clearly.
And if my aunt had a cock she'd be my uncle. So what?
There is a difference between blind dislike of someone based on skin colour and reasonable prejudice against someone based on a stupid irrational opinion that they hold and, worse, want to inflict on their own and other people's children.
Yes, this video would be reprehensible if it was an attack on an ethnic group. It isn't; it's an attack on people who CHOOSE to hold an opinion that marks them as either stupid, ignorant or insane.
Sure there is but the fallacy you, and almost every other creationist critic on YT, are making is that you claim that every creationist is something that not every creationist is. Essentially, this is what racists do when they say, for instance, that black people have a racial commitment to crime based on the statistics.

I DO have some actual facts, whereas all you have is some "prophecies."
voiceoftruth2006 1 year ago
You haven't even done your homework - go get some actual facts - come back and we'll talk.
fernieboy100 1 year ago
@fernieboy100 I've got some facts! Nine trillion cu meters of facts that says the bible is not to be taken literally.
NorthForkFisherman 10 months ago
I see your point but the bible has over 2000 fulfilled prophecies and a 100% accurate track record so far.It's a good bet that it will continue with a 100 % accuracy rate into the future as well. You can not show me one instance of where God has lied to us anywhere in the bible. Its no fairy tale trust me - but Satan wants people to think it is a fairy tale. The combination of moral corruption, unbeleif, and pride has destroyed billions of people in the past. God does not lie - but satan does
fernieboy100 1 year ago
@fernieboy100
Actually most so-called bible "prophecies" are manufactured rubbish. Most of the rest are misinterpretations of OT verses, and the remainder were never actually fulfilled. As for 100% accuracy, you must be fucking joking. Remind me again, what year was Jesus born?
voiceoftruth2006 1 year ago
@voiceoftruth2006 Asking what year Jesus was born is ridiculous considering there is an estimated record of His birth, and that record is so accurate that even today we count our lives, seconds, minutes, weeks, months, days, and years according to His birth. As for the prophesies of the OT, they were all fulfilled, every last one of them. If that's the best you can come up with, you may as well give up in your quest to discredit the Bible, you're only embarrassing yourself.
LivonianKnight 3 months ago
@LivonianKnight
Sorry, you're claiming that we know to teh SECOND when Jesus was born?
You're a moron. Shut the fuck up.
voiceoftruth2006 3 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 Well, your comment, and the fact you had to resort to using foul language, shows just how ignorant and incapable you are of debating the Bible. First of all, I never said we know the exact second, but we do have a general idea, and our system of keeping and tracking time is based on Jesus' birth. It's funny how stupid you actually are, yet you have the nerve to call someone else a moron. Thanks for the laugh, retard.
LivonianKnight 3 months ago
@LivonianKnight
"we do have a general idea"
No you don't. Nobody has any clue what YEAR Jesus was even born, and there are a lot of biblical contradictions involved in trying to work it out. As for our system being based on his birth, only the number of the years is; our system of time has nothing whatsoever to do with it. The days of the week, in case you're interested, are named after the Norse gods. Have a happy Odin's Day.
voiceoftruth2006 3 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 Apparently you haven't read the book of Genesis which says God created the Heavens and the Earth in six days and rested on the seventh. Ever since the beginning of creation, we have had a seven day week. Why is it so hard for you to understand this? As for Jesus' birth, yes historians have a very good approximation of his birth.
LivonianKnight 3 months ago
@LivonianKnight
Ancient Egypt - which rpedates Genesis by centuries - used a 10-day week.
voiceoftruth2006 3 months ago
@LivonianKnight
Now, if historians have a "very good approximation" for Jesus' birth, tell me what year it was.
voiceoftruth2006 3 months ago
@LivonianKnight
Come on! Tell me what year Jesus was born, and give me a historical reference (NOT the bible) to back it up.
voiceoftruth2006 3 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 As far as the names of the days, Romans ruled the known world for over 4 centuries, and they had a lot of influence on other cultures during that time. To know the original days of the week, you would have to research the Aramaic (Hebrew) language and see what names they had for them. And this still has nothing to do with the fact our years and weeks are based on the Bible.
LivonianKnight 3 months ago
@LivonianKnight
"Our years and weeks are based on the bible"
Our year is based on how long it takes Earth to orbit the Sun once, you idiot. As for the original names of the days of the week, why do I care what the bible says? I'm not a dune coon, so I don't give a fuck what the Hebrew names are.
voiceoftruth2006 3 months ago
@LivonianKnight
Anyway, these OT prophecies that were all fulfilled. Tell me in what year Nebuchadnezzar destroyed Tyre and when Egypt was uninhabited for 40 years.
voiceoftruth2006 3 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 Are you so desperate that you have to resort to trick questions? Alexander the Great destroyed Tyrus as it was called back then. You are referring to Ezekiel 26:7 where God says He will bring Nebuchadnezzar against Tyrus. However, you are leaving out Ezekiel 26:3 where God says He will bring many nations against Tyrus. Nebuchadnezzar only began the destruction of Tyrus, Alexander the Great finished it.
LivonianKnight 3 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 I also know you are trying to be sneaky about Tyre being mentioned in the New Testament even though God said He would make Tyrus desolate and covered with water. This is easy, and shame on you for being so pathetic. Tyrus was originally an island. After Alexander the Great destroyed it, he used its stones to build the new Tyre which is located inland. You're pathetic to try such dishonorable tactics.
LivonianKnight 3 months ago
@LivonianKnight
Actually you're talking bollocks. Ancient Tyre consisted of the island AND a city on the mainland. Nebuchadnezzar didn't conquer it. Alexander CAPTURED it and, despite what that old fool Ezekiel said, it still exists today.
Now, when was Egypt uninhabited for 40 years?
voiceoftruth2006 3 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 No, I was talking Tyrus, which was an island that is no longer in existence. After Alexander conquered it, he used the stones to build the new Tyre, which is now called Lebanon. You are not only ignorant of the Bible, but you are also ignorant of general history. There is no reason for us to continue talking. You are ignorant of the truth and reject it when you hear it. Take your hypocrisy somewhere else.
LivonianKnight 3 months ago
@LivonianKnight
What you are talking is nonsense.
The prophecy was about TYRE, which is still very much in existence, although of course it isn't called Lebanon; it's called Tyre or Sur. The modern city takes in most of the island as well as Alexander's causeway and part of the mainland. You quite simply don't know what you're talking about. Well, either that or you're lying...
voiceoftruth2006 3 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 Your comment shows just how ignorant you are, not only of the Bible, but of history itself. Tyrus, as it is mentioned in the Bible, was an island located on the mainland. That island, as God said, is now underwater and no longer habitable. It doesn't take a genius to understand this, all it takes is a little common sense and a small amount of world history knowledge.
LivonianKnight 2 months ago
@LivonianKnight
That island is NOT underwater and is now a UN heritage site. You are talking nonsense.
voiceoftruth2006 2 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 Yes it is, dude. All you have to do is research the island or actually study any amount of history at all. Heck, you can even look at a modern map of the Mediterranean Sean and see where there is no island off the coast of Lebanon (Tyre).
LivonianKnight 2 months ago
@LivonianKnight
You fail again. The island is still there, but it's now joined to the mainland by Alexander's causeway, which has silted up and become a wide land bridge. The old city of Tyre is NOT underwater. In fact it's a UNESCO world heritage site and thousands of tourists go there every year. You are quite simply wrong.
voiceoftruth2006 2 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 Dude, you need to look at a map of Lebanon and the Mediterranean Sea, and, you need to do some actual research. In fact, just read about Alexander the Great and you will learn all you need to know about Tyrus. The island is NOT there. Get over it, dude. The Bible is correct on what happened to Tyrus. Your ignorant ramblings only make you look like an idiot.
LivonianKnight 2 months ago
@LivonianKnight
The island most definitely IS there. You can see it on Google Earth and everything. It just isn't an island any more, and if you'd bothered to read anything about Alexander the Great yourself you'd know that's because he built a causeway out to it.
voiceoftruth2006 2 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 Your causeway argument is weak. He only built the causeway so he would have access to the island. The island itself is no longer there. The only island in the Mediterranean Sea anywhere near Lebanon is Cyprus. The Bible is accurate. We are done here, you are fighting a losing argument since the island no longer exists.
LivonianKnight 2 months ago
@LivonianKnight
Yes, he built the causeway so he could get access to the island. The causeway is still there. And what's at the end of it? The ISLAND, which is ALSO still there.
Are you dishonest, or just really fucking stupid?
voiceoftruth2006 2 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 Okay dude, I'm explaining this to you for the last time. The island is covered by water. If you don't believe me, just go to Google Maps and view the Mediterranean Sea where Lebanon is. Also, if you want more proof, just research the history of Tyre, especially the part where Alexander the Great destroyed it.
LivonianKnight 2 months ago
@LivonianKnight
Lebanon is a country, by the way: you gve shit directions.
voiceoftruth2006 2 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 Of course Lebanon is a country, retard. When did I ever say it wasn't? In fact, I mentioned that Lebanon used to be called Tyre, but it was the new Tyre, the old Tyre (Tyrus) doesn't exists anymore. My directions were just fine. I can't help it you are too stupid to follow them. Tyrus was destroyed just as God said it would be. God whine and cry about how wrong you are to someone else. Tyrus doesn't exist anymore, get over it.
LivonianKnight 2 months ago
@LivonianKnight
Tyre was not destroyed. It's still there. The island is not under water. You are either ignorant or dishonest.
voiceoftruth2006 2 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 I am either ignorant or dishonest? That statement tells me you aren't 100% certain of your argument that Tyre wasn't destroyed. The truth is, Old Tyre was destroyed and no longer exists. Instead of just babbling nonsense, do some actual research on the subject.
LivonianKnight 2 months ago
@LivonianKnight
You, however, clearly have not.
voiceoftruth2006 2 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 Dude, it doesn't take a genius to go to Google Maps, type in Mediterranean Sea, look at the area next to Lebanon, and see that the island is NOT there. The prophecy of Ezekiel came to pass just as the Bible says it did. Anyone with a lick of common sense can see that. Are you really THAT stupid? Seriously?
LivonianKnight 2 months ago
@LivonianKnight
Then we'll see who's full of shit here.
voiceoftruth2006 2 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 I already have checked, and there is clearly no island off the coast of Lebanon. You should really give up your argument. Ezekiel's prophecy came to pass just as the Bible says it did. You may as well accept it, there is nothing you can say that will change what happened over 2,000 years ago.
LivonianKnight 2 months ago
@LivonianKnight
If you're unable to give your claims even that much support, shut the fuck up.
voiceoftruth2006 2 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 Hey, look at the big boy who can cuss, what a tough guy he is. This is the last time I am speaking to you, because I have already told you, and proven to you, that the Bible is correct on the destruction of Tyre (Tyrus). Even historians and archeologists have talked about the destruction of Tyre. You are the only person on earth that I know of who refuses to accept Tyre was destroyed. Get over yourself. You're wrong, Tyre was destroyed like the Bible says.
LivonianKnight 2 months ago
@LivonianKnight
The bible says Tyre would be destroyed and NEVER REBUILT. It's been rebuilt. Show me an ancient city that HASN'T been destroyed at least once; destruction and rebuilding is no big deal.
I note that you can't tell me where this mythical disappeared island was. So shut the fuck up with your lies.
voiceoftruth2006 2 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 Tyre has not been rebuilt. I am done arguing this fact with you. I have already told you time and time again where Tyrus was located. Keep on getting mad and cussing, it just shows your point is false because you are too proud to admit the Bible is correct. Don't talk to me anymore. All you have to do is research Tyre and you will read for yourself the history of it.
LivonianKnight 2 months ago
@LivonianKnight
Yes it has, you fucking imbecile. It's right there on Google Earth. Its tourist board even has a website. Now either stop lying or fuck off.
voiceoftruth2006 2 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 Aww, are you getting mad again? If you really went to Google Earth, you would see that the old island of Tyrus is not there. It was located approximately 1/2 mile from the coast of what is now known as Lebanon. If you go to Google Earth, you can clearly see there no island, and especially no fortress that stands there today. Talk about someone being an imbecile, go look in the mirror. We're done here.
LivonianKnight 2 months ago
@LivonianKnight
I already gave you the exact map coordinates of the island. Guess what? It's right there, where I said it is. I also asked that, if you're claiming there was once ANOTHER island, you give me ITS coordinates so I can check seafloor depths. You have failed to do so. Why is that, exactly?
Tyre exists. Now stop being such a dick.
voiceoftruth2006 2 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 Of course Tyre exists, it's now known as Lebanon. The old city of Tyrus, which was a fortress, is now a wasteland that is just as the Bible says, the top of a rock. Ezekiel's prophecy happened, and all the anger and foul language you can muster won't change that.
LivonianKnight 2 months ago
@LivonianKnight
How fucking stupid ARE you, you moron? Lebanon is the COUNTRY. Tyre is the CITY, and it's now known as Tyre, or Sur in Arabic.
The old city of Tyre is the island. It's still inhabited. Now either check your facts or get the fuck off my channel, you fucking dick.
voiceoftruth2006 2 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 I have checked my facts, moron, and Ezekiel's prophecy came to pass as God said it would. The Bible is right and you are wrong. Get over yourself. Go ahead and get mad all you want, it won't change the fact that you're wrong.
LivonianKnight 2 months ago
@LivonianKnight
If the prophecy came to pass how come Tyre was rebuilt, you fucking dolt?
Go away. I'm tired of your lies.
voiceoftruth2006 2 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 It wasn't rebuilt. You show me the towers and the fortress, show me the great walls of the old Tyre. You can't, because they no longer exist. They were laid to waste as the Bible says.
LivonianKnight 2 months ago
@LivonianKnight
Look on Google Earth at the coordinates I gave you, you fucking twat. That's the city of Tyre you'll see. Did they rebuild it as an exact replica of how it was before? No, but then again why should they?
Tyre was rebuilt. Ezekiel was wrong. Now, last warning: stop lying or fuck off.
voiceoftruth2006 2 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 Lol, you must live on YouTube or something. Anyone with a lick of common sense can see that the old city of Tyre is not even a shadow of its former glory, just like God said. It doesn't take a genius to see that one.
LivonianKnight 2 months ago
@LivonianKnight
It was still rebuilt. It's currently the fourth largest city in Lebanon. The population is about 117,000. I'd be very surprised if it was anywhere near that at the time of Nebuchadnezzar's FAILED siege.
voiceoftruth2006 2 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 The old city of Tyre was never rebuilt. Alexander the Great moved the city to the mainland where it exists today. The old city (Tyrus) was destroyed just as God said it would be.
LivonianKnight 2 months ago
@LivonianKnight
If you look at the ruins on the island you'll find that many of them are Roman. I don't need to tell you what THAT means for your claims, do I?
voiceoftruth2006 2 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 It means nothing, considering the old city of Tyre (Tyrus) was destroyed just as God said it would be. Everything God said would happen did happen. Tyre was destroyed, it's walls were torn down, it was made like the top of a rock, it was never rebuilt, and it became a place where people casts fishing nets. It doesn't take a genius to understand this.
LivonianKnight 2 months ago
@LivonianKnight
Of course it was rebuilt, you fucking dolt. And it was destroyed by Alexander, not Nebuchadnezzar like your book of fairy tales said it would be.
Tell you what. Get the fuck off my channel and go write your crap at Ameriwiki or some other wingnut site. They might appreciate you there. I don't.
voiceoftruth2006 2 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 Hey retard, I never said it was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar. In fact, I mentioned it was destroyed by Alexander the Great. However, the proof is there that the prophecy of Ezekiel came to pass. Also, the Bible doesn't mention that Nebuchadnezzar will destroy Tyrus either. Everything the Bible says would happen did happen, and there are plenty of non-biblical references to prove that as well. Get over it, the Bible is right and you are wrong.
LivonianKnight 1 month ago

@LivonianKnight
Tyre was rebuilt. That's why the UNESCO heritage site is full of ROMAN RUINS, you fucking dolt.
voiceoftruth2006 1 month ago
@voiceoftruth2006 Roman ruins are irrelevant to the fact that the fortress was never rebuilt. Seriously dude, are you really THIS ignorant? Can you not understand that Tyrus was destroyed by Alexander the Great and the fortress was never rebuilt just like the Bible says? What part of that can you not understand?
LivonianKnight 1 month ago
@LivonianKnight
The prophecy is about the CITY, you dong. In any case the Romans built a fortress there too. Its ruins are a popular tourist attraction. So either way you're wrong.
Liars like you make baby Jesus cry.
voiceoftruth2006 1 month ago
@voiceoftruth2006 Yet again you give a public display of your ignorance of general history. If you knew anything about Tyrus, then you would know Alexander the Great relocated the city from the island to the mainland. So, as I mentioned before, the Bible is right and you are still wrong. You will always be wrong because there is nothing you can say that will ever change what happened in history.
LivonianKnight 1 month ago
@LivonianKnight
Both the island and mainland parts of Tyre have been continuously inhabited, without breaks, since Nebuchadnezzar's failed siege.
voiceoftruth2006 1 month ago
@voiceoftruth2006 The next blatantly untrue statement? I have yet to make an untrue statement. What's wrong, can't handle being wrong so you have to get a poopy diaper or something? You need me to make you a bottle? Sing you a lullaby? Anyway, get as mad as you want, it won't change history. Ezekiel's prophecy came true whether you want to accept it or not.
LivonianKnight 1 month ago
@LivonianKnight
Actually you have made numerous untrue statements about Tyre. Ezekiel, in contrast, only made two; he said Nebuchadnezzar would destroy it and it would never be rebuilt. He didn't and it was. The prophecy failed and so do you.
voiceoftruth2006 1 month ago
@voiceoftruth2006 I've been reading your comments both of you have been sending back and forth. About the destroyed city being rebuilt and all that. Is that "prophecy" really saying that absolutely no one could live there. If i wanted to move right now and build a house on that spot is it saying i can't? Do you honestly think that it means every person in the world is forbidden to live there and build. It is not saying that. Maybe that helps you understand it.
Melexonitrate 1 month ago
@Melexonitrate
Are these wars more or less likely to happen when so many people are apparently eagerly waiting for them?
voiceoftruth2006 1 month ago
@voiceoftruth2006 Ezekiel 26:3-5 3 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Tyrus, and will cause many nations to come up against thee, as the sea causeth his waves to come up. 4 And they shall destroy the walls of Tyrus, and break down her towers: I will also scrape her dust from her, and make her like the top of a rock.
LivonianKnight 2 months ago
@voiceoftruth2006 5 It shall be a place for the spreading of nets in the midst of the sea: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD: and it shall become a spoil to the nations. As you can see, the Bible clearly states what happened to the old city of Tyre. Now, point out to me where the towers are. Point out to me the fortress or where the place is in inhabited. You can't, because it is a wasteland and like the top of a rock just like God said it would be.
LivonianKnight 2 months ago
@LivonianKnight
I don't give a fuck what the bible says. Tyre exists. It is the fourth largest city in Lebanon. None of your ranting will change that.
voiceoftruth2006 2 months ago
@fernieboy100 I can tell you right now that you haven't read the bible. Your "Holy Bible" is a translation of a translation of a translation of an interpretation of a hearsay story about a man that ran around performing magic tricks in an age of ignorance and blindness. I'm shocked and disgusted that it has thrived rather than died, like it should have, in the face of FACT and REASON.
PissOffRoth 9 months ago
@PissOffRoth Human logic and reason is faulty as can be - thats why you dont understand the bible - you try to apply human intellect to it but its spiritually discerned. The message is unappealing to the proud & rebellious which is exactly the way it is meant to be, the meek will inherit the earth - not the proud and rebellious. Jesus said he came not to bring peace to the world but rather division - when people hear the message - they either receive it or reject it - so a division takes place
fernieboy100 9 months ago
@fernieboy100 Also, Satan is not a being. There's nothing in the Earth but molten rock and a super-dense core. Thanks, science.
PissOffRoth 9 months ago
@PissOffRoth Satan does in fact exist - but he is a spirit - we cannot see spirits but we can see their influence in our world today. Just because you can't see radio waves or oxygen or wind does not mean those things do not exist. You see the effect of those things and that is evidence of them - its the same thing. Jesus talked openly about Satan & Jesus never lied - he cast demons out of people and even today demon possesion does happen. Satan does not want you to think he exists- but he does
fernieboy100 9 months ago
i think you meant battle not bottle in your title lol. When evidence is given it is just explained away by the atheists because they simply do not want the bible to be true- so arguing endlessly with someone who has already made up their mind is a waste of time. In romans 1:20 it says that the evidence of God is in the things he has made so that the ones who say there is no god are without excuse. Its easy to see what God has created - saying he does not exist is actually ridiculous lol
fernieboy100 1 year ago
@fernieboy100
No, I meant "bottle" as in innate courage. Saying your god does not exist is the only reasonable conclusion to be drawn from the universe we live in.
voiceoftruth2006 1 year ago
@voiceoftruth2006 So your conclusion is that God does not exist ? lol - now if it ends up being true that God really is there and the bible really is true - where dooes that leave you if that was the case ?
fernieboy100 1 year ago
@fernieboy100

"you MUST rely on books from other people to make your argument"
Correct; that's why human society only started to progress with the invention of writing.
"the only difference is what you accept as true, by FAITH"
Rubbish. I don't accept ANYTHING on faith. Faith is a bad thing. I accept things as true based on EVIDENCE.

Did you do the experiment yourself, NO. someone else did, therefore it is by faith in the person that did it, RIGHT, yes. The truth is you have no evidence. NONE
pastormtippett 1 year ago
@pastormtippett

Whenever they look into space or into a microscope they are looking at things that have a certain order to them. Instead of giving credit to God the creator, they try to use their futile intelligence to "figure out" where it came from. That is the essence of science, people rejecting God and assuming there has to be another way.
pastormtippett 1 year ago
@pastormtippett
"instead of giving credit to god the creator"

"the reward of the effort is better (for spiritual rather than physical research.)"
I have spent over 16 years supporting aid projects in developing countries. What will give more rewarding results for a child dying of cholera - prayer, or looking through a microscope? I seem to recall that Alexander Fleming discovered atibiotics by physical, rather than spiritual, research.
voiceoftruth2006 1 year ago
This may sound like nonsense to you, but when you start to understand that there is an enemy of your soul, and that we are in a spiritual war in our mind, you will begin to see the whole world in a different light. you will see people differently, you will see religeon differently (although not much due to the corruption within it). You will find yourself wanting to engage in a battle for your own spiritual peace.

voiceoftruth2006 1 year ago
@voiceoftruth2006
Come on you dont even see that the life in you is a seperate entity from your physical body. Its like a car, Without a battery in it it has no life at all, your soul is like the battery, when you die your soul leaves your physical body. If you wreck your car the battery is still good.

No, I don't. Where is the evidence for this point of view?
voiceoftruth2006 1 year ago
@pastormtippett
"If you wreck your car the battery is still good."
An interesting analogy. The battery can be taken out and installed in another car; can the soul be removed from a corpse and installed in a new body? A severe enough impact in the right place can crush a car's battery. What part of the body contains the soul, and will a bullet through that part destroy the soul?
voiceoftruth2006 1 year ago
@voiceoftruth2006
Thats the difference between us and a car, the battery is physical, and the soul is spirit it cannot be destroyed.
pastormtippett 1 year ago
@pastormtippett
"the soul is spirit"
That means nothing to me. How can the soul be detected if it's not physical, and if it can't be detected why do you believe it exists?
voiceoftruth2006 1 year ago
@voiceoftruth2006
(If too vague ill try to explain, but its hard)
pastormtippett 1 year ago
@pastormtippett
You didn't answer my question. How can I detect a soul?
voiceoftruth2006 1 year ago
@voiceoftruth2006
Like I said, You feel the life in you. It is easy to think that your physical body is the life, because when people get injured the life leaves, but if you live in a house that gets old and falls apart, you move out. the life leaves the body when it dies.
pastormtippett 1 year ago
@pastormtippett
"the life leaves the body when it dies"
How do you KNOW that? Do you have any actual evidence that the "life" is a separate entity that leaves the body on death, rather than a process operating within the body which ceases when the body can no longer support it?
voiceoftruth2006 1 year ago
@voiceoftruth2006
There are many accounts of people who had near death experiences and saw themselves lying on a hospital bed, or saw a light, or had conversations with angels. Though some will write it off as their mind playing tricks on them, or whatever. These things happen and cannot be overlooked as nonsense, just because science may not be able to explain them, we cant just ignore it.
pastormtippett 1 year ago
@pastormtippett
"these things happen"
Yes - in someone's head. They are HALLUCINATIONS. I'm not for a minute saying they're nonsense and neither is any scientist I know of. However they're not evidence of anything.

pastormtippett 1 year ago

This is a logical fallacy called "begging the question." Before you can characterise something as spiritually significant you have to show that there is a spiritual realm separate from the physical one. So far, nobody has.
voiceoftruth2006 1 year ago
@voiceoftruth2006

voiceoftruth2006 1 year ago
@voiceoftruth2006
The video was to show the example of the spiritual realm. what we sometimes consider to be behavior is usually demonic influence that leads to the behavioral change, but Jesus can free us from the bondage of those influences.
pastormtippett 1 year ago
and that peace is found in Christ alone. So as good as science is, and as beneficial as it is, search out the things of God so that you know for yourself the whole truth. What do you have to lose, NOTHING.

"What do you have to lose"
Time I could spend doing something productive, that's what.
Look, I used to be a christian. I used to believe in the "things of god." I don't intend to waste any more time believing in gods unless someone can show me evidence that they actually exist. And I mean EVIDENCE, not old myths.
voiceoftruth2006 1 year ago
@voiceoftruth2006
That is my point, the only one that can show you is God. The church cant, religion cant. Only a one on one with God can change the way you percieve Him. When it happens, and you really meet God, you will not be able to turn away from him, so the fact that you did tells me that you havnt had the encounter with him that you need to get your proof.
pastormtippett 1 year ago
@pastormtippett
"When it happens, and you really meet god"
Yes, that would make me believe. However, a conversation inside my head isn't a meeting.
Have YOU met god? If so, did anyone get a photo? Where did you meet him? What does he look like? Does he speak English perfectly, or with a Middle Eastern accent?
voiceoftruth2006 1 year ago
@voiceoftruth2006
HAHAHAHA, thats good. No, when it happens you will see that it was not a "conversation in your head", you will not be able to describe it, or explain it, the only thing you will be able to say is that it was GOD. It is........I cant explain what it was like I just knew, i knew it was God. It was like being with someone you always knew, but didnt know.
pastormtippett 1 year ago
@pastormtippett
So you're not talking about an actual meeting then? Tell me, was this something that happened entirely inside your own head?
Michael Jackson was never a part of my life. I may be soulless and evil, but I have taste.
voiceoftruth2006 1 year ago
@voiceoftruth2006
No, it was something that happened.......around me. Although I couldnt see Him, I could feel His presence, and I could hear Him (like a thought, but not my voice). And (since I was driving at the time) His spirit filled me and I was watching myself drive the car, but was only focused on the voice I heard. Like I said it is hard to explain, but that is pretty close to accurate.
pastormtippett 1 year ago
@pastormtippett
OK, I appreciate that it's hard to describe. However I need to point out that your perception of what's around you is, in fact, a model generated inside your brain. Unless others present felt or, much better, somehow recorded the presence, I have no reason to believe it wasn't a hallucination. I'm not questioning your integrity, just your interpretation.
voiceoftruth2006 1 year ago
@voiceoftruth2006
Well, i was alone. But here is what sold me on the whole halucination thing; when this happened I had just left a buddies house drinking rum and cokes, and smoking some really good weed. after this happened, I was straight sober, more sober than i have been in a few years, and I never wanted weed again. I never had the desire to smoke again, and that is something that can be witnessed to by my wife.
pastormtippett 1 year ago
Oh, and all my "get high buddies". From that point on I couldnt deny Christ, and he has changed my whole life around. Now I am a pastor, and let me tell you, when i think of pastor I definitely did not think ME.
pastormtippett 1 year ago
@pastormtippett
Yes, but the fact remains that this issomething which cannot be attested to by anyone except yourself. I am happy to accept that you had an experience that made you change your lifestyle, but I have no reason to think it wasn't entirely inside your head.
Out of interest, did it occur to you that your consumption of mind-altering substances just before this experience might have had something to do with it?
voiceoftruth2006 1 year ago
@voiceoftruth2006
That wouldnt constitute the change. This wasnt my first time getting high or drunk, and I certainly wasnt that impaired. Look, There is a realm of reality that we cannot see or gain evidence from, but we can sense and feel. I can only point the way, you have to walk it, and seek it for yourself, im sorry I cannot give you anything concrete, but thats what Faith is, the substance of things not seen.
pastormtippett 1 year ago
@pastormtippett
OK, I have deleted one of your comments. As I already said, scripture quotes without any explanatory comment are not welcome here. I have no intention of censoring your views, but no spam please.
Anyway, faith is "the substance of things not seen." I want no part of that. I am perfectly willing to believe in a god or gods (although depending on their nature I may choose not to worship them regardless) but faith just isn't good enough.
voiceoftruth2006 1 year ago
@voiceoftruth2006

Sure there is but the fallacy you, and almost every other creationist critic on YT, are making is that you claim that every creationist is something that not every creationist is.
