  • I went to highschool with that guy.

  • I believe they have about a 2 year back log right now on the KSG.

  • Awesome

  • I want one!

  • Great review by Kel_tec. I would like to see more on this shotgun before I put it on my wish list. It looks way cool but I would like to see it in action since they have done a few updates to it.

  • I hope you got a chance to check out the RFB while you were at Kel-Tec's booth Destinee. It's pretty rad.

  • When it comes to tactical shotguns I believe I would buy a Saiga 12 before a KSG. The main reason is that it can take mags and even a 20 rd drum. The KSG can hold 14 rds but you have to pump it after each shot and when you throw in the price factor the Saiga 12 is more affordable.

  • @Halo2100 And you can add a bumpski bump stock to a saiga to make it full auto. (added plus for home defense)

  • @williamjpiano A bumpski on a saiga 12 sounds fun for the range but for home defense? I rather keep my home intact as much as possible. If you can't hit your target within 20 ft with one shot from a 12 gauge then you need a lot more practice.

  • Great review!

  • It's a ZOMBIE getter

  • Drooooool

  • Very nice review, now you know why I asked you to check it out, I have several Kel-tec's the sub2000, their 223 carbine (B) version and their 223 pistol, would love to have the RFB but it's pricy.

  • I think this weapon is just straight up silly. It looks like something from a video game or something off the "nerf" line...it's just not very practical. If I was to ever consider a tactical shotgun, I would just get a Saiga. It's much cheaper and blows kel tec's toys away.

  • Nutnfancy did a run n gun with 1 of the members from kel-tec! besides failure to feed issues everyone including the employee had problems with there new tube selector lever! all in all i think this is a huge waste of time!

  • @Killahofosho The tube selector with Nutn was not a technical issue it was a training issue... It is still faster to forget about the selector and then switch it over than it is to load seven more shells. Once someone trains with the KSG they would be accustomed to the selector. I think the selector needs to be a bit more accessible though. Having it under and inside the gun is a bit awkward.

  • I like the KSG, but $880??? Ummm.... NO. Bring it down around $650 and ok.

  • scalpers are already out there. Went to a gun show in Albany Oregon today. A dealer had one on sale for $1500. Complete joke. Dealers like that will never get my business.

  • @deltaleader71 that just what i expected dealers selling them over priced ...just like the ps3 at christmas ..people will be buying these up hording them to sell over priced

  • more guns you can't buy boring, get a saiga

  • blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah heard it last year, im sure itll be another 5 years before its actually for sale, give it up already and let some other company put one out there.

  • Kel tec are total shit, only used by del roy delton on the mean streets on the rob,,....and to kel tec i dont think any police or military unit are going to purchease your novoilty shotgun esp when they just been issued the benelli shotgun m4 the rolls roce of shotguns....end rent

  • @hardman476 Yes kel tec firearms are hot garbage, we all know that. However, you should attempt to use proper grammar and spelling when you are trying to form an insult against somebody. You just look ridiculous. "Rent", I think you meant "rant". Good attempt though captain stubing.

  • are these actually production workers too? get some people working making all those guns you have on back order

  • @thecodemachine interesting question but if it had to replace a shotgun that the united states military uses it wouldnt be the semi auto M1014, it would be the mossberg 590A1. Because the mossberg 590A1 is the only shotgun that is used in all 5 branches of the military, while the M1014 is only used in the marines. The kel tec ksg also wouldnt pass the mill spec 3443G...

  • i still wonder if it would burn your face off after a bunch or rounds

  • Saw it last year at Shot, still waiting for it to retail!

  • ★★★★★

    Now that's tactical.

  • I wonder if it has a chance of replacing the M1014?

  • I know where to get one and I think I just might. That thing loaded with Hexolit slugs and 000buckshot......Unstoppable firepower.

  • Please tell those guys from Kel-tec to start shipping their stuff to Europe!!!!!!!!!! PLEAZZZZZEEEEEEEEEE

  • @robin6512 does europe even allow cool guns like that?

  • @ironcityblue probably not, but i'd love to try it =).

  • Cada vez que te veo te vez mas chulla.... : )

  • I'll be holding my breath waiting to see one in a gun store!

    *drops dead from asphyxiation*

  • I really need one..... Doing a great job at SHOT, keep it up.

  • I asked the same guy about the RFB while I was at SHOT. He said they are all 'hand assembled' and KelTec only makes about 60 a month and that they go to distributors, who then fill waiting orders as they see fit...so I will likely never see a new one for sale at that pace.

  • Oh my god they do really exist, lol. I just wish you wouldve asked about the PMR 30 and the rifle to match it they were supposed to be coming out with. I guess it doesnt maqtter since not even dealers can get any of the products that Keltec introduced LAST year at SHOT 2011 much less this years refined models. They really need to step up their production. I have had KSGs and PMR30s on order for a year now!!! Keep up the good work Des!

  • $880? I could get 2 HD870's for that.

  • Your colleague there (the young lady that you pointed it at), should have kicked you square in the nuts when you pulled the trigger on her repeatedly. THAT would make for some good video. I don't believe for a second that KT fixed the trigger re-set issue, when you are going out of your way to NOT show a re-set situation - looks like sleight of hand to me, but maybe I'm just too cynical.

  • If it "does have trigger re-set", as you claim, then why don't you DEMONSTRATE that, rather than demonstrating the opposite - all you did was let your finger up quite clearly and deliberately between shots - the OPPOSITE of holding your finger back the whole time, THEN letting up to actually, ya know, SHOW the re-set. Also, why are you pointing it horizontally as you pull the trigger? I don't care what the tight ammo rules are at SHOT - you DONT violate the 4 fundamental rules of gun saftety!

  • Comment removed

  • @ frame 1:19 he actually used the words..."Tight Quality Controls"...lol I know he's heard that somewhere....oh yeah....from the customers...lol Kel-Tec has Awesome Customer Service....they are American made!!!.....but their QC and production....well, no further comment is neccesary.

  • Different manual of arms for over twice the price of a good Mossberg 500 or Remington 870 that are proven firearms and can be found everywhere, no thanks.

  • Wait he just said were keeping it affordable, so everyone can afford one. Can you afford to just give me one?

  • Awesome! Want 1!! lol

  • I like the refinements they have made in the design of the KSG from last year's SHOT (watched lots of 2011 vids). People have been complaining that "we saw it last year, was supposed to be out last year", etc... I'd much rather Kel-Tec (and other manufactures) put their weapons out on a schedule which allows them to get it RIGHT the first release so they don't have massive recalls or just a product that looks like it was thrown together in a weekend; with horrid features and ergos, etc.

  • I just ordered one all the way up here in the Great White North!

  • bla bla bla i seen this last year kel tec and it was supposed to be released by december LAST YEAR!

  • @DigitalUrbanCamo Yep, been reading about it for it seems like years, at this point I dont think i even want one anymore lol

  • @DigitalUrbanCamo keltec dont wanta expand the production lines ..i expect massive hording when there released with higher price from the dealers

  • Oooh. Very nice!

  • Great idea

    But can they make enough

What ever happened with the PMR-30

  • Great price

  • that's great

  • By the time Kel-Tec produces enough of these to address even a third of the demand for them, we'll have moved on to railguns and phasers. They're simply abysmal with regard to their manufacturing pace, as has already been said.

  • @TJ347 They're a small company, and do the best they can. I'm glad there's a steady demand for their products, and that they sell all they have. I'd prefer them not to become the next MSAR. Though, that company going bankrupt and getting out of the gun making business has made my STG-556 more valuable as of late.

  • just about everyone i know wants one ...that mite be a problem

  • Hmmmm... I'm watching this and the US legal Tavor.... Decisions, decisions....

  • lol look at the woman on the right, her eyes glazed over lol

  • @8TheManWithNoName8 ya she looks beat

  • That is so cool...wouldn't be surprised if it shows up as the base for some kinda sci-fi weapon in a movie or on TV. I saw the OD green one that hausofguns reviewed and I want it!!! Just tell me its NY legal...

  • keltec makes some of the most hideous guns

  • Whoa! $880? I know what shotgun I'm looking forward to this year!

  • Sweet! Thanks FOD!

  • he said "mass produced" their track record shows them as being incapable of mass producing anything if you want anything by kel tec be prepared to wait months for it or buy it at scalped prices the MSRP for a PMR 30 is less than 400 the only place you can get them is on gunbroker for 600+ they build good stuff just not enough of it

  • no thanks for your time :)

  • I've been looking at those KSG's. Can't wait till it hits the dealers.

  • SWEET!

  • Everyone needs one of those shotguns, sweet!

  • And they unveiled this at SHOT 2011.... lol!

  • The gun is as short as possible for general public.

  • How Much shorter can you make that gun and still be able to use it?

  • Shaun there looks a lot like Mike from KickedInTheBalls2000. I saw the preview pane and thought I'd finally figured out where he disappeared to lol.

  • any videos on glock stuff?

  • That is very interesting. Thanks.

  • I think I'll put buckshot in one tube and snacks in the other...always preppin' !

  • Did you happen to see the RMR at the booth? I saw that one last year on Nutnfancy's review, but I never hear anything about it. I realize that, being a PMR based carbine, that there are probably some delays in development.

  • love the ksg. can't wait to buy one. thanks for the vid.

  • Have 2 enroute next week to our shop :)

  • @kwgunworks If they make it, I'll take one!

  • @AreThereNoMoreNames it was at last years shot show

  • @ImNotGoingtobePC Oops, I guess I wasn't clear. I mean if the two that he said he ordered make it to the shop, I'd take one of those, since despite it being at last years show, Oleg Volk getting a bunch of pictures, Nutnfancy running with one, and a number being seen amongst more of the regular people, I've been unable to find one for sale for a reasonable price.

  • Hey can you check out the Sig Sauer Mosquito?

  • VEGAS, BABY !

  • Dont forget to add tax to $880. $900+++

  • Priced for everyone to own one........ production where only a few can. Maybe one day I can go to Shot show to see some of Kel-tecs products.

    Great job Destinee

  • Nice, well looks like I'll be waiting till 2013 now. Thanks for the update that is the newest news I have seen on the KSG this year.

  • Nice tats, gangsta.

  • 880 for a shotgun? .............

  • They need to design something for the KSG to let the user know when one tube is almost out or better yet have it automatically switch over to the other tube, as it is now the user has to flip a switch to engage the full tube. I'm not really sold on it just yet and for Kel-tec to say their going to be everywhere in 2012 "OK!" slowest production ever! But its a cool design and idea IMO not worth the 800 MSRP also they need to throw in sights or something.

  • He didn't demo the trigger reset right. He took his finger off the trigger each time.

For those that don't recall the first model if you held the trigger after shooting, and racking it, then tried to release and pull the trigger it wouldn't work. I'm still pretty sure it's been fixed but $800+ ouch.

  • It's just so hard to get some of there products, wait, wait, and wait some more.

    Glock n Load,

    Mike

  • I just got a little smirkish seeing that shotgun.

  • you didn't look awkward to me... :) keep it up !

  • Pretty cool, not sure it is for me though.

  • MYSTERY SHOTGUN.........

  • msrp in the $800's so in the shops could probably find one in the low 7's or high 6's which is good with me, ill will def be keeping my eye out for this shotty.

  • Man I wish KelTec would put these out already.....

  • @2xEKIA 1 word: gunbroker

  • THAT is what I am waiting for! As soon as they come out I am there!!

  • god damn i want that weapon.

  • Dunno why but that gun just doesn't sit right with me for some reason. Clever piece of kit, but not a fan of it tbh.

  • Oh jeez. I was under the impression they started shipping the preorders. I goes i will be waiting for longer then i thought.

  • @URBANAMERICANTAC Still six months out is what I was hearing at SHOT.

  • Kel-Tec is a really consumer friendly company, I respect them, They just have trouble keeping up with demand.

  • Nice!!!!

  • Coming to a store near you in 2050 LOL

  • @saigaish at least it will fit withing that time era as it look so scifi. Probably have hover cars as well.

  • Kel-Tec needs to put an X-rail into this, 26 rounds !
