I love the back end of the 03-04 Cobras, but love the front bumper look of the 99-01 Cobras. I own an 01 Cobra myself, and have thought about going the Terminator engine swap instead of installing a Vortech... already have JLT cai and 3.73 gears and exhaust, next project will be new cams and then yes... supercharging time! ;-)

Sweet Cobra!!! I just got MY 01 Cobra, and LOVE it! Honestly, I like the front bumper looks of the 01 Cobra better than the 03-04 ones myself... I like the idea of putting in a Termi-block in an 01 ; ) Bet it runs like a BEAST!!! I plan to supercharge mine here in a few months after I pay off some bills...

What is the difference between the 01 cobras and the 03-04 Cobras? Thinking about buying an 01' w/ 19,800 miles for $18,000. dont know how im gonna pay for the insurance but it would be worth it.

03 04 cobras are stock 390 hp compared to an 03 gt wich only has 260 i beleive... you cant go wrong with the cobras man they are worth that bit of extra money trust me. i just bought mine a month ago and i wouldnt trade it for anything.

umm they have a t56 6speed transmission,better IRS,motor is FAR superior,forged internals,better heads,etcetc you can take the 03/04 cobra stock long block to over 800rwhp,ive seen it

01 cobra's are naturally aspirated 4.6L DOHC V8's with around 320-325hp, the 03-04 cobra's have a different appearence and have a supercharged DOHC 4.6L V8 making 390hp but they really have more like 415 stock ford underated them to help keep insurance down. the 03's have forged internals and are easily able to reach 460-480rwhp with just a couple of bolt on's. the 03's have a t-56 6 speed and the 01's have a 5 speed. both have IRS and are identical inside. hope i helped

How much clearance do you have with LT's? From tube to ground how many inches would there be?

I have an 01 that is lowered 1.5" and am worried that I will only have an inch or two of clearance?

I will always be bigger fan of x-pipe layout than the H. Just b/c of the higher pitched sound. It is pure heaven. This is the first truly x-pipe sounding street car I've heard though, I sure as hell miss this whining sound on the Spring cup cars at the superspeedways. Beautiful Car Man!

with the 5.0 you've got a lot more torque than the 4.6. 3.73s should be plenty. although i always liked the 3.55s in my 5.0 cars.

I have most all the usuall bolt-ons. Ported intake manifold, pullies, solid rear w/ 4.30's then but 4.56's now, Kooks Long tube headers, off road x pipe, Borla catback, etc..

I dont remember the exact price on the Headers and mid pipe but upward of a grand. The catback is just Borla XR-1's welded into a old flowmaster catback.
