Yeah the Pug had done 178k when it gave up. It was a hard 178k at that.
Agree on handling. This Corsa has 40mm jamex springs and dampers kit. Nice and stiff, but still doesn't give me the same confidence in the corners as the 106 did. Ordered a strut brace for this and gonna install a cav rear arb. That sound help.
Shame they 106 didn't come with this engine in it though. Quite a bit quicker and about the same on fuel

Was never 100% sure. Loss of power, loud ticking from the top end and lots of bluey grey smoke.
I think the injector pump gave up.
This is heavier. and less cc than the peugeot, but still has a lot more power even before turbo kicks in.
The peugeot had a hard life.
