  • Does anyone know what the liquid is at 2:15? The 1500 F one?

  • @jimmy45d Its called a salt bath. It keeps the oxygen off the steel while heating to prevent decarb

  • why so many axes are they preparing for war?

  • @pawelgatorade using hatchets in war? lol!

  • wheres the love

  • Could this axe be used to dismember a body? Also would it leave distinctive marks as to be found by forensics? Not for me, just asking for a friend.

  • @llorttaf first of all, its a hatchet, not an axe. and your best bet is to use a saw for dismembering. you never see hunters hacking away at a deer when they are cleaning it with a hatchet, do you?

  • @dammitcrap My friend thanks you for this information.

  • Thesandonbar that moud be a hatchet

  • This must be an OLD video because those ppl dont look Chinese

  • This is crap. All you need is a crafting table, 2 sticks and 3 iron ingots.

  • @HatchetHaro Shit, I don't even need iron ingots. I punch a tree for everything.

  • @elusivellama Oh... you make wood axes? Sorry, they last for only 3 minutes...

  • @HatchetHaro HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

  • Too bad these modern axes aren't much good for chopping down trees. But, chopping fire wood, they do just fine.

  • takes 10 seconds to make one in mine craft

  • Wait a minute... This is the exact same footage as the hammer episode.

  • How axes are made > shows hatchets

  • I have this hatchet. Its the best one you can get that's made in the USA

  • greek subs for an episode of discovery channel how it's made plz....

  • bob barker

  • @snoebay88 hatchet matchet snatchet, it still ain't a fuckin axe

  • What about a real handle made of wood not fucking plastic!

  • @ninjaridley it wasnt plastic it was leather pices stamped out of leather lol or at least i think it was lol

  • It's not a fuckin AXE, Its called a TOMAHAWK, an AXE has a LONG handle

    DICKHEADS

  • @thesandonbar It's not a fuckin tomahawk,it's a hatchet !! Tomahawks have a slightly longer handle and thinner head as they were originally designed to be thrown at the enemy.

  • I'VE JUST BEEN MINDFUCKED. AT 100%

THIS AXE IS USED IN MOVIE LOCK, STOCK AND 2 SMOKING BARREL..at the end, where the guy gets an axe in the back.

    Jakey.

  • Do you speak chopnese mofo?

  • so metal

  • 4:38 he just ground the edge off, lol

  • fuck mass production there is only honor in forging

  • @SuperShredder89 will you still say that when someone takes your work and digs roots with it?

  • I've always thought it's simple to do this things but it's soo complex...

  • those are some GOODLOOKING axes. whew

  • This is as good a quality of axe, or hatchet, as most people will need.

Mass production can produce good quality at a lower price.

One can buy as cheap, or good, an axe as the budget and desire is.

  • This is why we invented chainsaws. And illegal immigrants looking for jobs. Just saying.

  • i'm in love with that axe

  • I doubt the company that makes these told them it was an axe. so odd that they call it that.

  • That isn't an axe, it's a hatchet

  • @tsufordman Wow... just when I thought the IQ of the common YouTuber could go no lower, you popped up with a dumb ass comment.

FYI; A "Hatchet" is just another word for a "Hand Axe". For christ sake... the ingorance.

  • Who cares if it looks good? As long as it does the job, it's a good axe.

  • 175k people just learned how their home depot axe was made. now watch a blacksmith make an a real axe

  • @iceh0rserider You mean iron ore? MineCraft FTW!

  • i have a wood handell

  • I have a Estwing hammer. It's over 20 years old! A few leather rings have broken off, the steel is a little rusty and the lacquer has turned some what yellow, but it's still going strong.

  • I have that exact same hatchet!!

  • Thats a Estwing camp hatchet. made in the USA

  • did he say 35 thousand years? is that accurate?

  • They did this one way better than how to make swords

  • i wanna buy an axe now!

  • "axe" designed for one hand and are small... it's called a hatchet fellas.

    but meh.. nobody cares.

  • you wana kill me

  • Those are very good looking axes! Damn!

  • Well I got an Axe that is 35 years old made in the US, Ironically it survived a Chainsaw, with no real damage, oh and its only been Sharpened once, oh and before I forget I lost it in the woods and it survived the winter Unscathed, now that's Quality!

  • i thought that is called a hatchet a axe has a longer handle?

  • That's a nice axe!

  • made in the USA, and about $49 at most stores.... now tell me the US can't make stuff that's both quality and cheap!

  • @CE750

To be honest, that's pretty expensive.

These are quality things, made just about everywhere else in the world thanks to machines, using high quality materials.

Dinky ones cost much cheaper all around the world, although the quality is obviously compromised.

All in all, it's the same case with everywhere else.

Good materials, good stuff, more cost.

Average materials, average stuff, less cost.

  • @nisbahmumtaz909 no, I disagree with you... quality things are usually made in Japan, the US, Germany, France, Italy and other EU nations or the UK... rarely are they made in the rest of Asia, or other places.. Quality Control can't be copied, neither can the quality of the steel used (which is the worse in China).. look up a famous Swedish Axe maker who's name I can't type in this comment thread (why I have no idea) an you'll see true quality axes made with Swedish steel!

  • @CE750

    k

  • @CE750 sopa

  • @cena221122 SOPA hasn't passed and been signed into law yet, and more over, why should GB care if I type their name in youtube?

  • @CE750 i dont exactly know but copyright laws are getting really strict.

  • @CE750 It very much depends for what the Axe is used for and I think it in Gransfor or something similar for the name of the axe you mention.

Most cheap axes are good enough for everyday use a carpenter or woodsman may need better quality.

My axes are for combat and not strong enough nor heavy enough for wood work they are made to chop men.

  • @CE750 Ipod, Iphone, Mac Pro, Airbook are made in China. Intel got many factory in Vitenam, China..and more and more exemple. Some off high-tech product are made in Taiwan. The Brain is Here, The hand is there.

  • @sapher974

But in the end of the day, you are still a Chink.

  • chainsaws...better

  • I WANT IT!!ITS PERFECT!

  • im pretty sure these are hatches, not axes...

  • This is crap, all you need is two sticks and 3 ore of iron.

  • @superpoop899 MINECARAFT

  • @superpoop899 bar*

  • @superpoop899 Don't forget the workbench.

  • @superpoop899 you forgot 3 strips of leather

  • @superpoop899 ingots, not ore.

  • @superpoop899 nope its 3 Iron Ingots not ore

  • @superpoop899

Oh shut up you troll, the ore needs to be smelted first.

  • @NarlepoaxIII *facepalm* Where on Googleworld did you comefrom?

  • @superpoop899

    ... what?

  • @superpoop899 3 iron ingots

  • I love watching forgings being made

  • How to make an axe:

    -Take piece of metal.

-Beat metal into submission (You must have a beard for this to properly work).

-Add hole by ramming the axehead with your penis.

-put another type of ''wood'' into hole

-Start lopping off the heads of the munks of Lindisfarne and drink beer.

  • Related video: Vagina tattoo.

    ??wtf??

  • Okay, at 2:10 they dip the axes into a "solution" that is 1500 degrees and makes them red hot. What kind of solution is this? It dosent even look like metal because it looks really liquid like water when they pull out the axes.

  • @Karpens16 most likely molten salt

  • @frackcha That's what I was thinking, it makes sense. Thanks.

  • @clockguy2 A hatchet is a type of axe.

  • @heysmithy A square is a type of rectangle, but It is usually called a square not a rectangle. I guess it must be a regional term like flapjacks, griddle cakes, or pancakes.
