@GmonyZB , This series is for 2007. I have re-madeall these videos for 2010. You can find all the Excel Basic Videos for 2007 (#1-23) and 2010 (#20 - 40) here:
I have a questiong about when you customize the quick access toolbar. I have customized mine but the next day when I get into excel again I have to re-customize it again. Is there anyway to make the customized quick acces toolbar stay the same each day.
@trucker3853 , I would ask the network administrator, becasue if it is on your own computer it should stay. If that does not work post to THE best Excel question site:
@ExcelIsFun Thanks for your reply..It is a computer at work & I will try & find out an answer from our IT dept. Thanks for your videos. I first came across them when I was trying to figure out how to do a VLookup, it really help me complete a project I was working on. Now I going to watch a video or two a day so I can become more efficient in Excel. Thanks again for posting them.
Hello, I have just discovered this site. Awesome! I will be continuing the rest of your series as I am totally new to excel. I am using excel 2008 on a Mac.
Do you think I will have a problem using your course seeing as I am using a newer version?
@ExcelIsFun Thanks for the feedback. I will try continuing with your videos though your approach is nice and easy...and encouraging. Would you be aware of a similar website as yours for excel 2008 for a Mac?
~I just wanted to tell you how awesome this information was! I got more out of your video than I could have received in in classroom. Thanks so much for your hard work......
In Excel 2010 it no longer works, but in Excel 2003, if you had a column chart you could click on the top of the column and drag it up and it would change the number in the cell. That is all I know. You might try THE best Excel question site:
was wondering if there were any ways to copy and paste in excel other than the usual copying and dragging or using the ctrl shortcuts. I needed a way to basically use a command switch that would send the information simply by clicking on the box that is highlighted. This would be used between two windows to send information quicker.
Is there anyway that I can download these videos (Excel Basics series and other series) so I can practice along with your worksheets? couldn't find them on the other suggested website. I only found excel worksheets. Thank you very much for all your great work!

I love how your videos start with the most basic functions, and then progress to intermediate and advanced at an acceptable rate. I was talking to someone who does data analysis work, and I want to get into that field. She told me that the best thing I can do for myself right now is to learn as much as I can about Excel. I already watched all the basics, now I'm preparing myself for the intermediate level. These videos are absolute gold!
Thanks, me too! The one thing that bugs me is that I have a Mac, so I have to learn completely different keyboard shortcuts. Why did they have to make the Mac and PC versions so different?

Since I grew up a MAC user and was forced to switch because I existed in the busienss world, I can only think that it was not a good thought that made them differenet.
hey, i love your tutorials. I have to do an assignment for my course, and I was wondering if you would be keen to have a look at what I have done so far. I am missing vlookups, but I dont know how to use them in my example.
Highlight A1:A2 and with the fill handle (tiny black boz in lower right corner) and your cross hair cursor click and drag to right as far as you need.
Just wanted to thanked you again, your videos helped me pass a graduate class I'm taking. I honestly kew nothing about Excel and I got all the info I needed from your videos. I also downoaded the workbook and the book.
Hey i was told that my Job interview would have an "Excel Test" I was so worried!. I watched 1-6 of your videos and it seriously helped me do well on it. I got an e-mail today I GOT THE JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love you, you are god.
i was just looking a simple lessons on excel and boy what a insight. i appreciate your videos. they really helped me in improving my excel knowledge. the Magic Tricks are amazing. Did you also make other basics like Word Basics, Access Basics... If not please guide me as to where i can find usefull videos like yours.
Thank you Mr Excelsfun. Really you made Excel be fun.
OMG I can record a macro, work with an income statement, protect worksheets, use all formulas, convert worksheets to web pages, and more! But I can not shift cells up? l0l teach me please
You are an outstanding speaker. Clear, articulate and you proceed at a speed that holds my attention but doesn't necessitate my rewinding the video. :)
Do you give advise on projects? I have a project I'm working on but I'm stuck how to go about solving it. If you do give advice, can I get your email address?
THE best place in the world to get free Excl advice is the Mr Excel Message Board (THE smartest Excelers in the world hang out at this site). If you ask your question so that others can understand, you will get an amazing solution for any question that you ask. Here is a video I made about this site (search for this video title and watch it):
How To Post Questions At The Mr Excel Message Board
thank you for taking the time to make this tutorials, i am an excel beginner(for now), but i am looking forward to finishing the first 23 tutorials and then see:))))))
It is like anything else, if you want to know it well, it takes study and practice. If you watch this Basics Series (23 videos) and download the workbooks that go along, you could get through them in a day. But until you take the new knowledge and apply it to solve some of your own problem over a time period, you will not know it.
If you are trying to get a job that requires it, it is a great investment to learn Excel.
You are right, I got a job at a nursery and the job description includes being able to use Excel so I was wondering what formulas etc I need to know.. I will take them slowly, have around 10 days to go..
Many people have used this video series (and the Highline Excel Basic series for advanced Excel) to get past there job interviews. First you should search for and watch this video to see how to find all the right videos and downloads quickly:

i am trying to create a schedule with 15 minute intervals over five days. what would be the easiest way to put the those intervals on a spread sheet?
gretzskyman99 1 year ago
Type 8:00 AM into cell A1
Type 8:15 AM into cell A2
Highlight A1:A2 and with the fill handle (tiny black boz in lower right corner) and your cross hair cursor click and drag to right as far as you need.
I'll make a video later in the week for you.

Hey ExcellsFun,
Do you give advise on projects? I have a project I'm working on but I'm stuck how to go about solving it. If you do give advice, can I get your email address?
admclpet 2 years ago
I do not do consulting.
THE best place in the world to get free Excl advice is the Mr Excel Message Board (THE smartest Excelers in the world hang out at this site). If you ask your question so that others can understand, you will get an amazing solution for any question that you ask. Here is a video I made about this site (search for this video title and watch it):

How long will it take me to learn how to work in Excel? Never used it before and the works I have seen seem complicated =\
Muslimah530 2 years ago
It is like anything else, if you want to know it well, it takes study and practice. If you watch this Basics Series (23 videos) and download the workbooks that go along, you could get through them in a day. But until you take the new knowledge and apply it to solve some of your own problem over a time period, you will not know it.
If you are trying to get a job that requires it, it is a great investment to learn Excel.
ExcelIsFun 2 years ago
You are right, I got a job at a nursery and the job description includes being able to use Excel so I was wondering what formulas etc I need to know.. I will take them slowly, have around 10 days to go..
Muslimah530 2 years ago
Many people have used this video series (and the Highline Excel Basic series for advanced Excel) to get past there job interviews. First you should search for and watch this video to see how to find all the right videos and downloads quickly:
