Wow this trailer sucks. The acting is dry, cadel is way too cool, not as shy as he's supposed to be, Lexi is fat, and Saul definitely does not look like a greasy 80s mobster with sideburns that rival the muttonchops of the 19th century. Good book, terrible trailer

A different narrator would have done wonders for this. It just wasn't quite to right type of voice. Felt too pushy. Love the book, but I would never have read it if I had seen this first. Trailers are hard, though. I don't like many of them, ever, so I suppose my opinion shouldn't be taken too seriously.

Why does the narrator sound like he's supressing a chuckle?

Does Sonja even get a line? If she actually gets a powerful role it may make it up for the rest of this shit. I always hated how she was just sort of dismissed.

honestly to tell you, if jinks's genius series ever become a movie, it'd better be animated. i honestly think something neil gaiman (creepy, minus the fantasy feel, more of the realistic feel) would be better. for example, i imagined Dot as Noodle (from Gorillaz), Lexi as Misa (from Death Note) w/ darker hair, and Saul not as stupid looking!! if only i was an anime director... dibs on the movie!! :DD jkjk...

The Genius Wars is supposed to be coming out Fall 2009, but will probably be Spring 2010. Cadel doesn't have blond hair - he has chesnut-colored hair.
