I lost 20$ today in a crash training in a honey bee cp3, dropped from 3-4 ft even with all the training gear. The gear still helped because it could have been much worse.

I thought 20$ was a lot of money to lose in a few minutes, but losing 500$ right after buying your first rc helicopter in less than 10 seconds, probably would be traumatic experience.

No, with proper training, simulator practice, and the use of replacement parts rather than new helicopters, you can learn to fly without too much expense. No aircraft has an infinite life span, but they should be good for a few years at least. With helicopters, you replace the broken parts, and I bet that crash would cost less than $50 to fix.

Everyone crashes on learning, why stop now? Keep on fixing after crashes. Look at my video, i crashed so much that now its paying up. Beside you're crash probably costing u under 50 dollars, if i crash my align trex 600 pro, I would have to pay couple houndren dollars. I suppose if its a good hit i probably pay 600 dollars to fix it. You're helicopter is small so its inexpensive.
