and yes self expression through music is always a good thing... and if you love somebody's music and you share it or better still make a visual piece, a video that illuminates and illustrates what that music evokes in you, or play somebody's piece with your own interpretations, that is love, that's a tribute to the original artist! nothing's been stolen, the song is still its maker's creation, now given a chance to breathe and live again. for a work of art , that's a good thing!
