Amazing music you make, I myself am studying the mbira cycle, and trying to make a song out of it on the kalimba, and btw your music is beautiful and inspiring.
@bad1marius Wonderful, I have enjoyed a video of yours too, nice kalimba! Thanks for encouraging words, more material to post soon. Busy month after which I hope to add some more....
maybe you've already answered this previously, but how do you keep your fingers(or the glasses rims) moist to keep the sounds coming?? Is there some light oil on you're using?...oh never mind. I see the liquid to your right. Is that just water?
Beautiful as always Brien.....Thanks for sharing!!! Our library patrons are now looking forward to our special holiday program....FEATURING THE ONE AND ONLY BRIEN ENGEL!!!!!
I should mention I have seen/heard his guitar playing as well and am equally impressed with all his self created masterpieces. Find out where Brien will be performing in person and make it a point to drop by for a listening experience you will not forget.
From the inner psyche of lovely excitations comes a musical talent unequalled with truly conscious, creative musical output. If you have met this unique musician in person you will sense a warmth equivalent to his astounding ability to share sounds on a musical level that rival most acoustic players out there. .......continued
A delight to hear. A treat to watch. The sounds seem to float and it is nothing less than amazing to realize they are vibration, tone and frequency crossing the air as transparent as the glass from which they arise. In the background the candles glow and tremble bringing the same warmth and light that you conduct from your talented players. Alan Sugar

Hi, I have an array of plastic columns under each glass, yes pretty sturdy! Styro would work I imagine for a test set, for just a little while

What is it that they're all on top of? Are they just leveled with styrofoam? Maybe wax, or plastic?
It must be something heavy, in order for them to stay sturdy, right?
