  • i think Mythbusters did a show about this....it sent a frickin big school bus tumbling like a leaf in the wind

  • y'all better clean that mess up.

  • Yeah..this video is stupid! There's no engine..the engine comparment is empty! You notice it when it rollovers.

  • maybe the pilot decided it needed a wash

  • Yeah you can see that there was no engine in the truck :p

  • why would my mom tell me that?????????

  • Don't they don't know how bad saltwater is for a car?

  • Old Fords are always getting blown away and off the road nothing new.

  • @danosly haha should see the new fords lol

  • Prep 4 takeoff! Weeeee!!!

  • That car must be made of cardboard!

  • go behind it with a wingsuit on^^

  • @sunamer Well yeah, I know that but I'm just saying. They should have used something heavier, not an empty frame.

  • still many idiots underestimate the power of JET ENGINE.

  • i'd totally take on that engine.

  • yeah and even more people will beacuse the mythbusters "busted" that, what we just saw isnt possible.......

  • Keep in mind, that this truck has none of the essential components, motor block, etc.

  • Great way to dry your hair when in a hurry!

  • the truck was being towed geniuses.

  • 0_0, there is no one in that truck. Its a ghost.

  • well they wouldnt put a real person in c'mon! it remote controlled

  • Like the engine makes a difference...

Think about it this way - would you not be able to lift a sack of garbage that has 5 empty bottles of booze in stead of 3?

  • Explain that one to your insurance assessor...

  • Well now that we establish no engine, it still would toss the hell out of the truck

  • eat your heart out diehart 2

  • A couple of weeks ago, a plane sucked in a luggage car in an engine.

  • GODLIKE!

  • wow looks fun!

  • LOL no engine

but still ownage is present :D

  • there's a guy who got sucked into plane engine in a vid on youtube... and another one but that was not a big plane and HE survived!

  • Now put a motor in the truck and the demo might mean something

  • TALK ABOUT PUSHING TIN!

  • There was no engine in that truck - as can be clearly seen if you look closely.

  • i agree with morgandrim

  • @morgandrim , no duh, you can ALSO see the truck that is TOWING that old clinker.

  • So thats where my truck disappered too...

  • woow i didn't know that.

  • That's why a jetengine suits as airconditioner warm days

  • so there are people dying everytime a plane ignites its engine at the princess julianna airport? anyone? answer me?

  • yes

  • that's just sad ..and funny :D

  • i'm sure that at least once a jetliner has blown those prancing tourists into the ocean . . . too bad i still haven't found the youtube video to confirm that happy event :(

  • Not everytime, but sure there are people who are stupid enough, even with the sign about the jetblast that still stand behind the airplane and get blown away and get hurt, but not everytime a plane takes off a person dies because of it =P

  • The truck was airborne from 1:05 to 1:07

  • He said that many dont know how powerful they are and stuff, but apart from staff whos going to be in the premises of the airport, and surely the staff would know not to go near it when its on properly.

  • It's funny when people say an engine and a transmission will make a difference.

20 of them both would only make the very slightest difference. The plane generates 80,000 lbs of force. That's enough to annihalate the runway, never mind your transmission.

  • wow, that'd be fun to be in that car!!

  • Comment removed

  • Theres no engine or tranny in that truck, I CALL BS!

  • That happened to me once

  • that happened to me TWICE

  • that happen to me three times

  • Comment removed

  • the plane can fly, so does the truck

  • the truck doesn't even have an engine or transmission in it.

  • I'm not 100% accurate with these numbers... but a 747 can takeoff weighing over 350 tonne's. You don't have to be good at maths or physics to figure out that an engine or transmission ain't gonna make any difference.

  • The BBC program Top Gear did a similer thing. They catapulted an old Citron behind a 747 then a Ford Mondeo, both came off second best. And if I remember right, the presenter Richard Hammond said a single engine produces 44,000lbs of thrust and could only stay at full throttle for 20 seconds before the it rip up the runway while standing still.

So like ZincShackles said.. with or without transmission or engine it wouldn't make a difference.

  • why waste money on lethal injections, just use this to execute people. hold bets, see how far they go

  • The engine IS on. What you're seeing is the stator vanes behind the fan because it's spinning so fast. And it doesn't matter if the vehicle had an engine in it or not. A jet engine will flip over a train. AND...the engine used in this demonstration has half the power of the largest jet engine. too

  • the engine and tranny are missing...and the chassis is cut in several places...i know that the enginges are strong but come on be reasonable

  • lol, if u look closely theres no engine in that truck and half the chasis seems to be missing or to have been removed.

  • airplane nextgen seating 1st class front half. business other half. economy sitting behind a jet wearing airfoils XD

  • Kids, don't try this at home.

  • primero seria un lok de mierd.. el k maneje un carro detras de un avion de semejante poder xD

  • Just like a Tornado...

  • doesn't matter if it had an engine or not. the turbo fan engines put out about 60,000 to 70,000 lbs of thrust. just the air movement at about 50 feet behind the engine (at high power)is going about 150 mph. That's enough to blow over a truck, car or a person.

  • can kill living thing ^^

  • 150 miles per hour?!? Try closer to 1500 or even 2000 mph, perhaps even more, especially within just a few feet of the rear of the engine, especially with the big jet engines, like those of an Airbus A380 for instance.

  • triton115 u must have an a and p license? Oh wait a sec I do.

  • within 75 feet of the engines it is nearing 300 mph. Dropping 50 mph roughly every 75 feet beyond that. So taking in the distance of the truck from the engines I'd say it got hit with 250 mph winds.

  • Hmm, the truck didn't have an engine or transmission, so I can't imagine why it flipped over so easily ;-)

  • that car had no engine in it lol
