  • Appearance has nothing to do with it. I knew someone who did shit roughly similar to this, and she was in real life an athletic, attractive blonde. Hell, the prettiest girl in my high school way before the internet, used to send other girls fake love letters supposedly from boys. She had a whole little post office going.

  • What a bitch, ruining someone's life, lying to them for TWO YEARS. And they thought they found love. Shit just got REAL.

  • Just another fat fucktard who never amounted to anything in their lives; never got their ass to the gym, never pushed themselves to pursue a fulfilling career, never went out to build a social life... trying to live out the life they want online. This level of sloth and stupidty should be treated with a bullet to the head.

  • Asshole.

  • Wow. Sure, what St. james did is really wrong, but leaving your husband after having an affair for two years for a man she's never met in real life? Wow, just wow. They're both in the wrong here. And this 'confrontation'? I suppose it's just a way to make the friends feel better about themselves since they didn't try to talk Bonhamme out of having the affair and leaving her husband. EPIC FAILS FOR EVERYONE INVOLVED.

  • haha but then also haha

  • What a disgusting cow! She leads a sick pathetic life and just like the saying, "Misery loves company." She wanted to hurt someone else and bring them down to her personal hell.

  • This woman needs some serious psychiatric help.

  • can someone give me the story to this? :/ i dont get it...

  • @iRoamGEEK Yh me too.

  • Meh.

  • So can someone fill me in on what's happening? I'm missing alot here :(

  • The woman being filmed had an affair with a married woman on the internet for almost two years. Heres the thing the woman being filmed pretended she was a male fireman and managed to get the other woman to leave her husband and send her gifts. They even spoke on the phone but this woman used a voice device that made her voice sound deeper so she sounded like a man. She then had one of her fictional friends send the victim an email saying she (he) had died of liver cancer.

  • @Furnstar thanks!

  • Successful Troll is successful

  • Real life troll here. Problem?

  • This is funny as hell. HAHAHAHAHA

    Janna owns.

  • I love 'in jokes' ? Where is the full back story to this ?

  • i didnt get what happened...what did she lie about?

  • OMG someone lied to and manipulated another individual on the internet!!!

Now give me your pay pal account information because I'm a Nigerian Prince and I need to store my naira somewhere before it evaporates.

  • @filmmetoo I lol'd

  • It's horrible people like her that give online alter egos a bad rep. I still remember confessing to two different people that I'm a girl, one also turned out to be a girl and the other who is a girl already. I've never regretted it since - one of them is still my current long-dist girlfriend.

Besides, on the net, genders should not have even mattered!

But for her to lie to the point that their beloved would separate from real family and even plan to move in... now that's damnable.

  • sorte do marido!

  • Foi burra em terminar seu casamento, acabou só agora

  • O ex-marido da outra deve estar rindo pacas... kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • This is insanity, to relate the Internet, could have been worse.

  • Is this what catfish was based on? O.o

  • @TheLuchez that wasnt based on anything. They claim it's 100 percent true and It was pretty convincing

  • @XxRaN96xX No way that movie was a waste of time

  • So, which is worse: the woman who pretends to be a guy online, or the woman who leaves her husband because of a 'guy' she met online?

  • @hobokombat the worse is when your wife dumped you for a girl that pretended to be a guy.

  • @mintpy

Indeed. The only victim I see here is the guy. Then again, maybe he's not so great since he somehow managed to get tangled up with some crazy woman who was willing to ditch him for another guy she never met before.

  • @hobokombat well, if you're with a dude who has admitted your entire marriage he does not and will never love you and is only with you for benefits? uhhh yeah. anyone sounds better. lol

  • Man, I've always wanted to try something like this.

Note to self: Never be good at it.

  • this is why i quit message boards a long time ago. fucking lying asshole.

  • lawsuit for being a STUPID CUNT? HAHAHAHAHAHAH: MANHOOD101. COM

  • Doesn't the married 'victim' have some responsibility in the destruction of her own life. If you stray, you usually pay. Yes this woman was wrong in what she did but it take two to tango. I know people will probably say that the 'victim' was unhappy in her life and looking for something she wasn't getting at home. I would say the same thing of this woman. And really, you can't be very wise if you're sending cash to someone you met on the internet.

  • Why would you film this and put it online? You're vile.

  • I would've taken a bat to that fucking pig.

  • You are awesome friends. Well done.

  • Just saw the L.A. Weekly piece about this. What a sad and incredible, cautionary tale! Required reading for anyone looking for friendship or love online.

Sure, "Audrey" was too trusting, but she had the misfortune to cross paths with an extremely manipulative person who wasn't asking for anything more than emotional investment. Her experience is probably rare. Lots of folks DO connect online and form rewarding relationships. It's how Audrey and the author of the article met in the first place!

  • You are great friends and seriously have a lot of strength.

I would have kept her in the house and tortured her for months.

  • @rhojif You're a vile human being.

  • Another fat, lying slob. Obesity seems to be a common thread in the Internet lies.

  • This is so creepy, this is why you rly have to be careful about ppl and the internet. This is like the movie Catfish...just crazy. Lonely ppl looking for some excitment..ends up destroying others lives

  • wow, something exactly like this happened to someone in my family. but to this day we wont know who it is, we think its a gay guy. all we have are emails, couldnt find the person

  • @MyNamesTony I think it happens a lot! I know of somebody that's being scammed right now by a YT liar. The thing is, she now knows he's a pathological liar and that's not even his worse trait. But she didn't find out until recently and she's all sucked in emotionally by this point.

  • @MyNamesTony Do you have the emails still? check out the IP addresses in the header. Then look it/ them up on whois, and see what part of the country the originating IP is from. If it's Batavia, IL, it might be Janna Saint James.

  • Can someone explain to me the story behind this i (trie to) read the 10 page article on it...

  • Audrey is a fucking loser. Audrey ATTRACTED Janna because AUDREY IS AN EMOTIONAL TRAINWRECK JUST LIKE JANNA!

  • @zynxy That's true. They attract each other. The stronger one preys off the weaker one but they are both a mess.

  • I just read the artice about this. Crazy bitch. Came across it on the imdb boards. I hope that Audrey is fine. This shit would send me mental.

Is this what the movie Catfish is based on? it has a similar story.

  • @neilo86 Yeah, I heard about Catfish, looked it up on iMDB, found that thread, and then I was instantly reminded of this whole fiasco I discovered a year earlier.

The story is extremely similar, but I've heard this story several times over (the movie The Night Listener with Robin Williams), so it's hard to say where the makers of Catfish got their ideas from.

Still really excited for Catfish though. :)

  • This woman is sick, but honestly lets think about the person who allowed this to happen to them. We all know the dangers of getting to know someone via the internet we've been warned about it since chat rooms were invented. This is a perfect example of what can happen. Did nothing seem fishy to her? "Jesse"s whole persona sounds like it was crafted by Danielle Steele and usually if something seems to good to be true, it AIN'T.

  • The woman is mentally disturbed. Normal, which is a clinical term, normal people do not do this. Very low self esteem, attention seeking, low level psychotic (not the killing type) and low level psychopath.

Psychopathy is a personality disorder characterized by an abnormal lack of empathy combined with strongly amoral conduct, masked by an ability to appear outwardly normal.

  • Janna is still doing this shit. The woman whose friends uncovered this keeps a blog where she found that Janna has been keeping two more frauds going since this happened. The first fraud is over since she killed off the character, but the second one was just about to go into full swing when Audrey discovered it. In the days before the internet, she did this exact same thing; she pretended to be the wife of Tommy from Styx. She'll never stop. Ever.

  • What a sick sick woman - she should be locked up for all time and banned permanently from using the internet - making up fake personas to seduce and then destroy people - why is there no penalty to what she does? I can't believe there are no laws against this. I hope someone destroys her life in the same way she destroyed her victims with no remorse. One word PSYCHOPATH.

  • She does not need therapy, this is her therapy! her game is her therapy, at the expense of her victims.

  • I have met her spiritual sister, years ago, and I still feel dirty. I don't understand how a person can be broken in that way. Doesn't feel far off from serial killer.

  • Holy shit! I almost didn't believe that this story was true (I just read about it a few minutes ago). But now that I see the clip...wow, that's so sad.

  • Total sicko

  • what a fucking creeper

  • [0:54] FEMALE: You put our friend through an emotional wringer for almost two years. [0:57] JANNA: Two years? No! [1:01] FEMALE: Yeah. [1:02] JANNA: No! [1:04] FEMALE: Yeah. How about a year and a half? [1:06] JANNA: Could be a year and a half. But I didn't-- [unintelligible] [1:18] MALE 1: You didn't mean harm, not a little, y'know? [silence] [1:30] MALE 1: What was the point? [1:35] [clears throat] [1:43] [unintelligible]
  • I just read about this woman. She needs mental help. Of course, it's not great being a victim of her either, but I have some compassion for her and she needs therapy.

  • I know someone just like this disgusting cow. And she has the very same MO. Luckily, she was exposed before she could do as much damage as this pig did, but you really have to be careful when you're talking with folks you really don't know on the internet.

  • I've read the article -- it was forwarded to me not long ago and I finally had a chance to read it and think "My GOD...just when you think you've heard -- and seen -- everything on the Internet..." This is so gut wrenching sick I don't even know where to begin, & I couldn't help thinking "Wonder what she told the cab driver?" (Read the LA Times article for reference). What is even more frightening is that she is probably still out there, scamming someone else. Lord help them!

  • i wish there was a transcript i cant hear much

  • [0:01] FEMALE: Is there anything you want to say to her? You just destroyed her life for two years. [0:11] MALE 1: You could apologize. [0:17] JANNA: It wouldn't be taken in the right way. [0:19] MALE 1: It might be. [0:22] JANNA: [shakes head] No. [0:23] MALE 1: Okay. [silence] [0:42] MALE 2: Why do you do this shit? [0:45] JANNA: Why do you do what you do? I'm not doing anything! [0:48] MALE 2: I'm not destroying people's lives! [0:50] JANNA: I'm not destroying anyone's life.
  • yep carmel, i think youre right.

  • Horrible person. At least you guys managed to expose her. Someone I know suffered from scum like that too. And we could not do anything but keep repeating to him that it all seems like a bunch of very tall lies. We felt so helpless. And he was like under a spell for about half a year. Thank god the scumbug ended it herself. But he was sad for a few months after that. Cause she seemed interesting to talk to and I guess he was longing for someone. Bummer.

  • You are far better than me, because if someone was using my best friend like that, there would be a hell of lot less geniality.

  • You really have no idea what you're talking about, manitobagal. Maybe YOU might have figured it out, but there are many folks who don't have your sage wisdom. Folks who judge a victim's situation too quickly often have some baggage of their own that they're projecting...might be what's happening in your case.

  • She got off the hook light. You are better people than I for I would have enacted some sort of revenge...something to really mess with her head and prevent her from doing anything to anyone else. However, she will get what is coming to her.

  • Janna is so HOT!

  • In addition to her other 'talents' she teaches native-american beading, designs poorly crafted 'charms', impersonates Dan Fogelberg and plays the didgeridoo with her twat. Busy Gal.

If everyone else can post more than once, so can I. Pthhhhhhh.

  • Thank God for good friends. You guys deserve a Nobel Prize or something. Personally, I don't think I could have been as cool and rational about it as you were. I still want to give Ms. Saint James a blanket party with a grand finish, buried to the neck at Manhattan Beach at low tide.

St.Julien - who is still pissed about this whole thing - albeit from afar.

  • @nannerlh yah totaly since NPP are given to any and everyone now.

  • no, they weren't horrible to her. at all. she had plenty of opportunities and she clearly conceded the truth of the accusation. no complicated word games needed.

  • Oh my god this is so crazy. Everyone should get to have friends like you guys. I can't imagine how hard it must have been to confront her, esp because she is unable to realize or take responsibility for her actions. Thats the worst part. I wish she threw a fit or something.

  • And what if Janna is a very, very large woman with an already rather husky voice who is good at making herself sound like a man over the phone because she's had practice?

  • no, that's not what happened. do you even know the circumstances?

  • no. emphatically not. do a google search for "janna st. james" and read the l.a. weekly article. if you already have read it, get a heart. she broke another person's heart apart.

  • Wow

  • I think it would have been far more interesting if y'all had befriended her. Imagine getting to know this woman, what she thinks, how she operates. I get the whole pack-attack mentality and probably would have also done it, but from the safety of distance, I am drawn to her as a person and want to know her.

  • What an idiot. I would have just been beyond livid.

  • -_-"!!! insance.

  • you are all better than I. I would have probably clocked her in the head with a brick. Cheers to you all.

  • you know she's thinking about how next time she's going to trick someone with better access to intravenous gravy

  • I love the fact that the length of time this had gone on is more important to her than the fact that it had gone on AT ALL in the first place.

    Jeeze... what a psycho. o_0

  • total narcissism. wow.
