Since that is a 1989 JD 420, that's the same year model that my uncle brought the tractor from the Everglades Farm Equipment (which is owned by my family) over to the family property in NC almost a year after my grandfather passed away. Prior to that, the property was mowed with a JD 318 lawn tractor. They kept the 420 until 1998, when my uncle brought a JD 455 over to the property and gave the local church nearby the old 420. Now, they have a JD 740 lawn tractor

thats the problem with blade.. They do a great job skimming the concrete but when its too much, its too much. Our little garden tractors don't have enough weight. Try fluid filling your tires with RimGuard and adding more ballast weight... or just buy something that can also throw the snow..
of course you could always do snow 5 times per large snwo event and only let 2" accomulate per push maybe
