Love this video, although the destruction of this planet by our hands seems so horrible, and such a wrong thing, in the end it is just nature taking its couse. All things come to and end, all life begins to decay the moment it is born. We are simple the agents of decay. We are life, and we are enacting every moment.
Cool video, amazing song. Radiohead will always have a huge influence on the music we make. Please check out our Youtube page for our songs or search "Surrounded By Holidays" on Bandcamp or Facebook. Go Radiohead.
Mann what must be the feeling for a inspiration such like that? yu priceless Radiohead , thakyu so much! i took 2 months listening to the cd to hear "in rainbows" at 2:50... best discovery in years
My son was born to this song. I saw them play it live at Roseland last night and cried. It's so special. Like all their music. Been a fan for 17 years.
Recuerdo que cada lunes por la mañana cuando tomaba el tren a Santiago escuchaba ésta canción. Amanecer entre nubes, cerros impregnados de verde, hierba, horizonte y el aroma a café del vagón...
@luvstosplooge14 Maybe it's their way to express their feelings about it? Just like other people say: "Awesome" or klick "Like it". Anyway what's your problem? Who forces you to read other people's post? Let of your frustration somewhere else, not on the posts of people who know good music.
i always thought of those comments who say things like "oh this made me cry every time" was just an attempt to get a high rated comment. after hearing reckoner for the 10th time, i walked to my bathroom to shave and noticed that i had tears running down my face. that just shows you how powerful this song is.
"Because we separate like ripples on a blank shore, in rainbows." This song sums up the entire In Rainbows album. Just like a rainbow, we human beings, are mixed, imperfect and have many different shades. We "are not to blame," for we all have a bittersweet distractor in us. We are composed of millions of little pieces that we formed through our life experiences and as we separate, we are 'in rainbows' in the ripples we form from separating on the blank shore.
Never too late to love Radiohead... I was your age when I got into them myself, with Karma Police, 15 years ago :) I am a big fan of them. Inspiring music!
i want this song, amongst others, to play at my funeral. it does make me think of being transported to another world. a world with peace in it, if that makes sense to anybody else. it would be nice to go to such a place.
It isn't trying to say we "are the problem"... instead, we are simply one tiny part of a repeating pattern of life. Humans aren't the first organisms on this planet that have dominated and then changed the planet into something else which they could no longer survive in (actually, that would be the first organisms on the planet which produced the oxygen we have.... converting the world into one where they could no longer survive).
Life goes on, here and many other places across the galaxy.
Reckoner You can't take it with yer Dancing for your pleasure You are not to blame for Bittersweet distractor Dare not speak its name Dedicated to all human beings Because we separate like ripples on a blank shore (in rainbows) Because we separate like ripples on a blank shore (in rainbows) Reckoner Take me with yer Dedicated to all human beings
FUCKING AWESOME song. The video is simply icing on the cake as it engages such concepts as the origin of life, mankinds' overpopulation and self destruction, and the inevitable recurrence of life.
FUCKING AWESOME song. The video is simply icing on the cake as it engages such concepts as the origin of life, mankinds' self destruction, and the inevitable recurrence of life.
@Thedahdumdum fuck that shit, if anything it makes it worse most of the time. it just defines it so well, you just sit there and take it, and sometimes cry like the little woman you are.
@avwootton That's interesting that you say that actually. I can kind of see both sides to that. I think Radiohead is one of those bands that serves out pure emotion, and whatever type of emotion you want to label it as it correct. You can project your own feelings to attribute to it. If you're feeling sad and you hear this song, it's probably going to make you more sad. If you are feeling happy, or even if you have the WILL to feel happy, it's going to be extremely uplifting.
@avwootton Explosions in the sky is another example of that I think. The song "Greet Death" can be the most uplifting or depressing song ever depending on what your attitude towards it is.
Interesting comment, I like that you got me thinking :)
@avwootton Yeah I agree and I now this may sound melancholy, but I hope this song is playing when I die. It seems like the purpose of it is to make passing on easier.
When i listened to this song to go to sleep, my dreams were the equivalt of the hallusinations you get if you were to smoke Marijuana for 2 days straight...
If music is mathematical, than Radiohead is Albert Einstein on a mixture of crack cocaine and steroids! If you disagree, you are need to reach higher than the fractured piece of glass you live under in the lab; under the microscope. insert Forrest Gump voice: " that's all I got ta say 'bout that."

they have a truly unique way to rock that muse don't have and i think muse would just drown the song in too much overdrive and fast guitar riffs

bottom line: no, i would rather not like muse to cover it, they're pretty radioheadish already
