Gonna miss the battle between Aston and Corvette! Aston to LMP1 and corvette to GT2 shame really. Both great cars. Aston just a bit more for as i am Britiish, but i love that Vette as well!

well sorry to say but the astons will never kick the vettes ass all season... i'm seeing it the other way around

We'll never see the factory DBR9s and Vettes race each other ever again at Le Mans anyway. This year is corvettes last year in GT1, next year they are racing GT2 and Aston are racing LMP1.

Oh and check the DBR9s race history, its been kicking the vettes ass' since its first race in 2005.

Ok, for a start it wasn't Aston Martin in the ALMS, it was Bell Motorsport. And they chose to only run in 4 races. Dosnt that kinda make it obvious they weren't going for the title?

Yeah, next year will be the last GT1 battle between the Aston Martins and the Corvettes, but the following year I assume Aston will put it's money into the newly created "GT" class (since GT1 will be no more). I can't blame Corvette for moving early, there is NO competition for them here in the US (the US Aston Martin team is underfunded), it'll be nice to see them verses some good drivers from Porsche, Ferrari, etc.

Next year will be the final showdown between the C6.R and DBR9. After Le Mans next year, Corvette will move to GT2.

Aston Martin aren't entering GT1 this year they are running two LMP1 cars 007 and 009 instead. So Corvette have already won as lets face it there's no one else to challenge them and they're gonna wipe the floor with all the private teams...but they might have problems if team Spartek run the lambo :)

I'm an Aston Martin fan and I hope Aston kick Corvettes ass in GT1 untill the end of time at Le Mans BUT...nothing sounds as awesome when it drives past you at full chat as a vette does :)

Brilliant video, i was there and stood on in the Grandstand for this session, the sound is unbelievable! Could not stop grinning, i have a few good videos (they were till youtube coded them to shit quality) with mega sound in my vids of the corvette's if you take a look!

I pulled the streaming video off a French website during the second day of qualifying. The original audio was commentary in French. You couldn't really hear the car.

I was there to support the Gulf Astons, Hope vette and Aston keep doing LeMans, the Vettes make the best damn sound, i remember watching the Vetts hammer down the straight towards the last few corners at night.... yellow lights a-blaze friggin awesome :)
