@billni5561 Most likely, I use a 5750 on a resolution of 4320x900 and get 30Fps Minimum on Dirt 2 Maxed out, so you should be fine :)

just cut the monitor borders and set the angle of the left and right most monitors to a greater angle and you got the next best thing to a real car!

@Kozmo198 yeah of course you can, but a big TV will still only have the FOV (field of view) as a normal single monitor, everything will just be bigger.

The Monitors were the most expensive part but thats because I went with top of the line premium monitors (U24010's) you can get away with TN panel monitors for 1/3 of the cost. I needed the better monitors since I also do video editing and photoshop so quality was more important to me than it should be for a gaming setup.

@tntchef Yeah thats a great card, the 5970 is basically two 5870s together on a single card, so at times it can be nearly twice as powerful as the single 5870 that I used to make this video not quite as strong as two 5870's in crossfire but easier to manage since its only one card and your not limited by motherboard choices.

Shouldn't the two blindspots of the car match up with the gaps in the screen with the bezels? So that the center screen would be the windshield, and left and right screens would be doors? And then you could just sit a little more to the left or right depending on if its RHD or LHD. Are any games like this? can you set them up to be that way?

Yeah I only played this game two times, once when I got it and again for this video. But going to play it again because I have new monitors, a new wheel on the way (G27) and there are new drivers that make the game run even better and a new feature (bezel compensation) look at the video response to this video I made a Dirt 2 video showing the new bezel compensation in action.

That's just how projection of 3d onto a flat surface works... The stretch happens on a single monitor as well, it's just not as extreme. The image is rendered for the user, so from the side it looks "stretched", for the user it looks proper

@monkeyturds The increased FOV causes a slight fisheye effect, you cant see that wide normally but when you sit there and see it in person it looks normal since you do not look directly at the sides.

driving games are the absolute perfect games for eyefinity because you can look to your right and left windows just like being in a real car. Probably gives you a huge advantage in multiplayer as well. Also, works awesome for fps too.

On the outside are 2x Dell 2407WFP monitors and in the center is a Dell 2408WFP. I had no monitors so I bought one with display port. However if I already had a monitor I wanted to use I would just get 2 more of the same monitor and get an active DVI --> Display Port adapter (dell sells one that works for ~$100, should get cheaper soon)

The setup is great but even with 2 monitors so close in make/model you can see a slight color difference so thats why I would rather 3x the same thing.
