I met Bill at the summer NAMM in `05. He wandered in to the booth I was "working" in (hanging out in). A guy with me said, "Get your camera!" I thought he was being a dick or something, and I said, "That's not cool...". He said, "That dude is one of the best bass players I've ever seen" and I said, "That's not cool...". Then Bill asked if he could play a bass. I handed him one, he asked me to mute the strings at the nut with my finger, and he played like this. Super cool guy, too.
