Also re NarutoCraxyXD's comment if you want to blend two actual colours together use the lightest one first instead of the blender pen. You can see my other tutorials showing you how to do this.
Any kind of general paper and card will work - the smoother the better but even general copier paper will workl. Lili of the Valley sells some super smooth card on their website which is exceptionally good. Just make sure its not bleed-proof paper- which I'm guessing layout paper could probably be - as its the bleed that makes the colours blend.

You can't really use it with dark colours because when i tried this with sky blue , it didnt blend at all-

@TheNooka14 you can get special paper from hobby craft its made so that the ink dont seap through and it makes useing pro markers quite easy .
