Scrubs is a hell of a lot better than any TV show. Really you just don't get how fine television can get if you haven't seen Scrubs. It's simply in a league of its own. On a new era of comedies that they started. Scrubs is the show of the decade, so far of the new millenium :)

Reasons why the idiot above thinks scrubs is better:

1. Obvious reasons why he/she can't get past the comedy to actually see the moral of each episode.

2 . Ther guy/girl is a very young person and subject to material commercial influence.

3. Nothing better to watch.

Friends set the standard. No friends = no scrubs .Emotions and life lessons really was serious stuff in Friends, every season finale was worthy of tears."JD & T" over "Joe & Ch" are you crazy or retarded??

Pretty much every joke in either of these shows has been done before. It's quite hard to create something really unique, the best you can do is try to make it original enough so that it doesn't feel like the same thing over and over again.

friends is older and still appeals to all age groups, al the adults i know love it, my friends love it, i love it, my 8 year old cousin LOVES friends, and my 88 year old grandfather. a much smaller group have even heard of scrubs. funny, but not in the same class as friends.

@TunaEars Scrubs was produced by ABC, but played on NBC. NBC in turn, did not care about scrubs, and so stuck it in a random open timeslot. The only reason Scrubs was never as widely watched and in turn appreciated, was not because it wasn't as good as friends, but because it had a bad timeslot. But wait, it still went 8 seasons, and even had a 9th spin-off season, despite having far fewer viewers. I'm not trying to says scrubs is better, they are both great and should be recognized as such.

@sanasweetheart96 Well “Scrubs” wasn’t really cancelled, just some of the lead actors decided to do something else/take a break. 9th season which was cancelled is more like a spin-off and is even referred to as “Scrubs: Med School”. It is something like “Friends” spin-off “Joey” (which was also cancelled btw).

Of course few jokes were copied from “Friends” but we can’t really blame them. It would be like blaming scientists for using Einstein theories in modern science.

Most of the Scrubs team are fanatics of old comedy shows. Couple that with Bill Lawrence having worked on Friends prior to making Scrubs, it makes since for there to be so many similar jokes.

Go and look at all of the similarities between Scrubs and damn near any sitcoms of the 70s or 80s. You'll find a lot more than this.
