Honestly, the Sega Genesis 1993 version looks better and plays better. Randall Cunningham also allowed his name to appear in that one, though it still pisses me off to this day that Joe Montana couldn't allow it due to the fact he had his OWN games out. Thurman Thomas's name not on there also disppointed me since he was one of my favorites.

TECMO has got to be the best game company when it comes to sports games, because of one reason: They are from Japan, and Japanese game publishers and developers are better than NON-ASIAN game companies like EA before they ruined the sports game industry when they introduced Madden Football.

Great vid. I love how Randle Cunningham didn't have his name and picture. Just a black outline and QB Eagles. Bo Jackson was unstoppable especially when he was in excellent condition. What a great game!

Agree with all of you, and there are some ROMs out there with the current season players and teams so you can play it on a NES emulator, the old superb Tecmo Bowl experience in modern times, thats pretty good (Although Montana, Bo jackson, marino, Barry Sanders and old legends made the game great)

This game was way ahead of its time. My friends and I would play for hours. We would each pick a team and play season. If you remember it kept track of the season stats and then we had playoffs before crowing a champion.

The Mighty Bomb Jack half time show is still better than any shown during the "Real" Super Bowl of late. TSB = Classic. This vid is great. Excellent job!

love tecmo super bowl, about 2 years ago my friend and I were playing and it was insane, I fumbled losing possesion, then stopped him on the 1 yard line when time ran out, the final score: Me 19, him 17, I beat him for the first time ever, and haven't again since, tecmo super bowl gets my vote for the best football video game ever. even if it is a NES game.
