wtf she only gettin 15k plus a lil more, what a dumb bitch she should of kept it on da downlow an could of got the whole 750 to a mil ,or prob a bit less seen as shed of had to sell on the quite.
@8DJUSTINCREDIBLE Get real. The real owner could have easily sued her, prevented the sale, and she would have got NOTHING! Even if it was "sold on the quiet", she could later find herself taking a trip to prison and having all her assets cofiscated. What goes around comes around. Much rather avoid jail, be honest and have $15,000 in my back pocket!
Too bad the "gist" of this is wrong. The lady was NOT "dumpster diving"/"at a dump". She found it on a Manhattan sidewalk amongst a few large trashbags put out for pickup one morning. This is a fact; it was found on W72 Street. Had I seen a framed oil painting on the sidewalk, I'd have taken it inside, researched it myself!
I suppose a false story, saying someone was digging through a landfill or dumpster, is more appealing than the truth (at least to the reporter who invented the falsehood).
Tamayo is one of the best painters of Mexico, but nothing beyond that!!so, really for millionaires to keep this painting its like having a Michaels poster on their walls!!!So, no big deal!!!
She only got fifteen thousand for a million dollar painting!? Rip off!
