how many inductions are there? i dont suppose it matters. the saying i keep thinking of when i here people ask this question is an old chinese one that goes " fear not the enemy with 10,000 techniques practiced once, instead fear the enemy with one technique practised 10,000 times" . having said that i only ever use 3 inductions, them being
1. handshake interupt/ hand to face (basicaly the same)
Interesting opinion about the rapid inductions. I don't have any practical knowledge about hypnosis yet - maybe that'll change in the near future. But I have some knowledge about neurology and phsychology and understand how these rapid inductions work: The unexpected "shock" triggers the "flee or fight" system in the brains oldest parts, which overrides the logical left hemisphere in milliseconds. That's why you jump from a loud bang without thinking about the jump first.
That is one of the fastest working switches for the left hemisphere of the brain there are, aside from those who make you unconscious. The idea is not bad. The thing is: I'm not sure if it's the best way to have a positive experience if you start it by triggering one of our deepest survival-instincts. And there is the physical health concern mentioned in the video, too. But it all boils down to the fact, that this and Jonathans way with emotions are two sides of the same coin.
Good stuuf, I wouldn't having you see my induction I use and give me your opinion 8/10 go into hypnosis. I'm 3 years a C.H. I agree I'm not into rapid induction. I like for testing the hand magnetized to forhead ot like you the hand pulling together. As a test to see if someone is in hypnosis I have them forget the #2. Great test. Like that you have your definite views, Ed.
